Georgetown Walk, Part 2
So the other day during the rainquester, I went out for a walk in Georgetown. Yes, it was cold and rainy, and windy, but on the other hand I had the day (quasi) off (Professors never really have a day off). Again, I was doing one of the walks from the City Walks box. I started off near M and 30th st, and walked along M to 34th st, passing the Old Stone House along the way (one of the oldest houses in DC). I then turned up 34th st, walking past the Halcyon house (a house of a former secretary of the Navy, picture above), Cox's Row (picture above) and Pomander Walk (picture above). I then walked over to Tudor Place (a house museum), which I still have never been inside of, but I'll leave that for another day. On the way back to the car, I stopped off at Tugooh Toys (picture above) which is a great little toy shop on Wisconsin avenue, and picked up a few presents for the girls.
Georgetown is an area of DC, where I always find something new and different every time I go. This time it was Pomander walk which I had never seen before and is a cute little alley neighborhood off of Volta place. Great place to wander and get lost.
