COZY CLASSICS by Jack & Holman Wang
The Cozy Classics series manages to condense hundreds of pages of a classic into just twelve words. That’s an impressive feat in and of itself, but Jack & Holman Wang take it a step further, making the series adorable with their needle felted illustrations (and ‘adorable’ is not a word I usually apply to a required English Lit reading). We’ve acquired the Cozy Classics versions of Pride and Prejudice and Great Expectations, so swing by the library for some genuinely cute and cozy classics.
Also, the author and illustrator are brothers who have been collaborating on their books since the third grade. How cool is that?! If you have the time, I’d recommend taking a look at this wonderful Google Doodle they worked on for February 2015, which shows some steps of their process:
