#Day28 - Bury Me With This Record - #TheDownwardSpiral (1994) by #NineInchNails 🌀 My favorite album by my favorite band, hands down this is the record that I would want to spend all of eternity with 🙌🏼 If you really want to know me, every part of me - the good, the bad, the dark and the darker - then all you need to do is listen to this masterpiece album 🖤 This album changed my life in innumerable ways. #Day27 - A Local #IndieStore Purchase - #LastCaress: Live In Detroit 1983 (2016) by #TheMisfits 💀 My friend Austin and I like to take day road trips when we have the time and hit up indie record shops outside of LA. Our most recent trip was to St. Luis Obispo for a shopping excursion to #BooBooRecords & #CheapThrills where I picked up this just-released #Misfits #bootleg from '83 ☠️ Because we both love physical music (CDs for him, vinyl for me), we do our best to shop at smaller indie stores to financially support their survival 👍🏼 @cpradelaide #cpradelaide #vinylchallenge #februaryvinylchallenge #vinyl #unofficialrelease #trentVOTD (at Toluca Lake, California)

#Day25 - Something To Cure A Hangover - #ReadingWritingAndArithmetic (1990) by #TheSundays 💛 While a #MazzyStar album pairs well with wine (and the sometimes super intense feels that come from drinking & listening to love songs), an album by The Sundays is a perfect compliment when nursing a lovelorn hangover the next day. #HarrietWheeler has one of my favorite female voices and the sweet lilt (never garish, never overwhelming) with which she sings is the perfect remedy for almost any ailment ☺️ The Sundays are most famous for their excellent cover of #WildHorses by The Rolling Stones but I am most fond of the band's brilliant original music 🖤 @cpradelaide #cpradelaide #vinylchallenge #februaryvinylchallenge #vinyl #trentVOTD (at Toluca Lake, California)

#Day20 - A Great #DebutAlbum - #ShortBus (1995) by #Filter ⚡️⚡️⚡️ #RichardPatrick served as the original guitarist for #NineInchNails and then decided to start his own band in '95, blessing #IndustrialMusic fans with one of the most powerful debut albums in the genre ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Over the years, @officialfilter has released 7 albums and counting (most recently, Filter released one of my fave albums of 2016 - 'Crazy Eyes' - just last year) but it all goes back to this stunning beginning ⚡️⚡️⚡️ @cpradelaide #cpradelaide #vinylchallenge #februaryvinylchallenge #vinyl #trentVOTD (at Toluca Lake, California)

#Day8: #RedAlbum Cover (In honor of #ChineseNewYear 🏮) - #NotYourKindOfPeople (2012) by #Garbage ❤❤❤ @garbage released their 5th album 7 years after 'Bleed Like Me' in 2005 with much excited fanfare from fans DYING for new Garbage music 🙌🏼 The band has since reissued their self-titled debut album on its 20th anniversary as well as a new studio album ('Strange Little Birds' last year) AND is embarking on a co-headlining tour with Blondie this summer ☀️ A (strange) little bird has told me that Garbage will also tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album 'Version 2.0' later this year ... it is an amazing time to be a Garbage fan 🤗 @cpradelaide #cpradelaide #vinylchallenge #februaryvinylchallenge #vinyl #doublevinyl #trentVOTD (at Toluca Lake, California)

#Day7: An Album Older Than Me - #ThursdaysChild (1956) by #EarthaKitt with #HenriRene and his Orchestra ❤ I fell in love with #Eartha when she played #Catwoman on the #Batman TV series and was thrilled to learn that her sexy voice could be heard on her own albums 😻 I'm not the biggest fan of jazz vocals but Eartha Kitt is such an amazing chanteuse that I can't help but be obsessed with her music 🖤 @cpradelaide #cpradelaide #vinylchallenge #februaryvinylchallenge #vinyl #jazz #rca #trentVOTD (at Toluca Lake, California)

#Day12 - What's Currently On Your #Turntable - The #OriginalSoundtrackAlbum to the iconic #StanleyKubrick film #AClockworkOrange (1971) composed by #WendyCarlos (formerly #WalterCarlos), also featuring music from #VariousArtists (including #LudwigVanBeethoven) 🍊 I've been on the hunt for this album for ever and just recently FINALLY found a copy 😍 Hands down, this soundtrack album is as perfect as the film is - really #horrorshow from start to finish.
