Lily of the Valley charm

Lily

Make 2

R1- Magic circle, ch 1, 6 sc into mc

R2- 6 (sc, inc)

R3 to R7- 12 sc

Leaf 1

R8- 6 (5sc, slst)

Cut and weave in the extra yarn.

ch 6

Work from 2nd chain from hook

sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc

Turn your work

sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, slst

Leaf 2

(Continue from 1st leaf)

ch 6

Work from 2nd chain from hook

sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc

Turn your work

sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, slst

Strap

Cut yarn and pull through.

Weave in the excess yarn

ch 50- 70 (or your preferred length)

Leave a long tail and fasten off

Assemble

Pull each end of the strap into the lily, via the magic circle hole of the flower.

Tie a knot inside the lily and cut any excess yarn

Then pull the strap through, from the middle, in between the two leaves

R1- Magic circle, ch 1, 6sc into mc

R2- 6inc [12]

R3- 6(sc, inc) [18]

R4- 6(2sc, inc) [24]

R5 to 7- 24sc [24]

R8- 8(2sc, inc) [32]

R9- 9sc, popcorn st, 13sc, popcorn st, 8sc [32]

R10- 32 sc [32]

R11- 32sc [32]

R12- popcorn st, 11sc, popcorn st, 7sc, popcorn st, 11sc [32]

R13- 8(2sc, dec) [24]

R14- 8(sc, dec) [16]

Add eyes and stuffing

R15- 8dec [8]

Continue to dec at until you close

Cut and pull through the yarn.

Weave in the ends

Ears

Make 2

Slip knot, ch 6

Starting from 2nd stitch from the hook

5sc

Turn work around, ch 1

5sc, (3 sc), 5 sc

Leave enough length before cutting the yarn and pull through

Assemble

Stitch the ears to the body. I usually do it between R2 and R3

Using black yarn, stitch the nose

While you can do the nose at the end, I prefer stitching on the nose after adding the eyes.

I also use blush to colour in the ears and apply a little below the eyes

Oh, also I used a thinner yarn and made this to use it as a bag charm. It was cute. But, in the rush of the metro, the string broke and I lost my baby T-T

Weave in all the extra yarn.

So I first made this for my friend as an accessory for her headphones.

But I also made a couple to use for wire organising on my desk. I just had to make the length of the stem a little longer.
