A weird crow-like entity that has to do with the backstory of my other character, Porya (who is the murder butlermaid lol). It's name is Craeva, and it is a mischievous spirit who enjoys pecking at the breaking points of people to bring out their inner repressed selves. It can either be beneficial in freeing others to be their true selves, or be very detrimental in unleashing more darker sides of people.
Craeva first appeared to Porya when he was a child and it a young spirit. One day when trying to read a book somewhere alone in his school's courtyard to stay away from the other kids and teachers that he often did not get along wit, Craeva was flying by in its crow form and noticed Porya. Feeling mischievous, it stole the young child's book.
As Porya chased after it, Craeva noticed a hidden and darker anger in Porya as in his frustrations he would lament and had a air of repressed violence, however, he would be ultimately calculative and eventually managed to catch it and realised quickly that this was no ordinary bird. So Craeva decides to reveal itself, and would often accompany Porya whenever he was out in the courtyard or hide in his shadow.
Craeva made… interesting company, it was certainly never boring and it gave good conversation, though it's affinity for mischief was still apparent and it would still give Porya chases, which Porya would never admit he found fun, as well as the satisfaction of catching the little shit-
Craeva as it learned about Porya's life would realise… how much this child was repressing himself from the abuse he suffered from harsh teachers and more meaner kids. It was never a moral being, and it was more interested in how this repressed emotion and rebellion would manifest, but still… some part of it also didn't want to see this kid it became friends with suffer so much, so it would often comment on the people who hurt Porya and pushing his buttons, trying to make Porya really feel his emotions instead of just brushing them off, and Porya would resist this, trying to justify to himself that his abuse was because he wasn't enough and not trying hard enough in his work and as a person, and so deserved it all.
That resistance didn't last however, and it led to an incident where after discovering a teacher was abusing a student, Porya would stab him with a pencil...
In shock and horror at what he done, Porya would run away and disappear from the school. He ended up living on the streets for a while as Craeva helped him survive. Porya would witness a lot of horrific things and had a new found drive to kill those he found reprehensible, Craeva also being a immoral spirit, taught Porya more on how to kill 'prey' and even lended its corvid and shadow abilities. But as time went on their relationship became more strained, and Porya during one angry outburst, would blame Craeva for having to now survive on the streets and tells it to go away and never come back. Craeva, hurt, and yet understanding, obliges, though it says to Porya that should he ever need the guidance of mischief, he can always call its name.
Nowadays Porya is a well respected head butler/maid of the luxury hotel Mysticnox, though even without Craeva, he's still left with the remnants of its corvid-like abilities.
