I've been planning this cardigan project for months, maybe a year. I've got the yarn, I need to do a gauge swatch. I did part of one yesterday and it was awful so I'm going to try again today on bigger needles.

However.

I *hate* the yarn. I'm sensitive to textures (duh) and I know that if I make a cardigan out of this stuff I will probably never wear it 😭 it's the recommended yarn and it happened to be on sale so it's not the end of the world, but for fucks' sake.

Do I just suck it up, make it, and gift it? Find another project that uses this yarn that won't be worn next to the skin? Send help 💀

One of the downsides of knitting is that you hold your projects in your lap. 🧶 I'm still working on the baby blanket I mentioned, but at about half-speed - they haven't turned on our air conditioning yet, and I can't say I'm too excited about having a blanket's worth of yarn in my lap when it's 76°F in the apartment. 😅
