These Spools of Thread Cake Pops Cookies are a delightful and creative tribute to sewing and crafting. The chocolatey cookies with intricate thread details are a tasty and fun treat.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 4 ounces white chocolate, melted. Assorted colorful edible markers or food-safe paint.
Instructions: Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour together in a bowl using a whisk. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a different bowl until it is light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. Put the dough in the fridge for at least an hour after making a disc out of it. Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough until it is about 1/4 inch thick. Use a spool-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the dough. Then, put the shapes on the baking sheet that has been prepared. After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges feel firm. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way. Once the cookies are completely cool, cover the spools with melted white chocolate to make them look like thread. You can use a piping bag or a small spoon to drizzle the chocolate. After letting the white chocolate set a bit, decorate the spools of thread with different colored edible markers or food-safe paint. Let the decorations dry all the way through before you serve them or put them away.
