Set before the Season 1 finale: Crosshair serves closely under Admiral Rampart, close enough to notice the way the Admiral’s attention lingers. Close enough to feel the shift in the air when they’re alone. Duty blurs into something heavier, warmer, and far more complicated.
A single game of Sabacc tips the balance and by the end, Crosshair isn’t sure if he has already lost along the way, or whether the real game is only beginning.
I've stumbled onto a tweet from Rampart's VA mentioning Rampart "sulking." And I haven't stopped thinking about it because I definitely can see him being a sulker, with his amrs crossed on his chest and his lips in a pout, and let's not forget his big brown eyes.
It would annoy the hell out of Crosshair, yet it would ignite something within him. Something that he'd prefer to ignore. Yet, it would push him to forcefully grab Rampart's face before sharply whispering, "stop sulking. This is ridiculous." He would throw his head back once the words had been uttered, leaving Rampart with reddened, sore cheeks; throwing death glares at the sniper.
The tweet in question:
Listen.
I will use the tag “crampart” in order to increase visibility of any Crosshair/Rampart posts I make (and to make blacklisting easier), but you should all know I do so under PROTEST.
It’s the worst ship name I’ve ever seen, “CrossRamp” was right there.
I'm gonna have to make my own crampart food, aren't I?
