Hey yall!! Time for another Thanksgiving recipe! This week it is time for the main course! Now of course there are a thousand turkey recipes floating around and no doubt you already have your favorite. So I am going to bring you something a little different.
I don’t know about you guys but at our Thanksgiving table we always have some ham too. It is actually one of my favorite parts. However, it can be a pain trying to find room/time for another thing to go into the oven. That is where the beauty of this recipe comes in, it uses your slow cooker!
That’s right just pop your ham in your slow cooker, and forget about it till dinner time. You will have a perfectly heated through glazed ham that is moist and perfect for your Thanksgiving table!
Now please do not stress and send me a thousand comments about the quantities in the recipe. It is very versatile and can be adjusted to your taste.
Basically your start with your fully cooked spiral sliced ham, this can be boneless or bone in. I used a 3 pound boneless ham. Then you get dijon mustard and squirt it over the top of the ham as little or as much as you like, you can even use plain old yellow mustard if you prefer.
Now you take a small can of crushed pineapple and just dump that in on top of the ham. Then take about half a can, more or less depending on your taste and size of ham, of cranberry sauce, jellied or whole berry. Just stir it up a bit so its not chunky and dump that over the ham. Then set the crock pot to low and in 4 hours or so (depending on size) you will have the perfect ham. Once my ham is warmed through I just turn the crock pot to warm and let it set till dinner.
