In 4th grade no one really talked to me or liked me much so I talked my mom into getting me a 100 piece gel pen set. I gave everyone in my grade a pen and I was popular for like 2 weeks. This boy I was designated friends with (our moms were friends so) asked me for one so I gave him a neon orange one. He stopped talking to me after 5th grade but when I left the school in 6th grade he still had the one and used it sometime. There’s no happy or ending or anything I haven’t seen him in 6 years but I still wonder how and why he kept the pen for like 3 years when the rest barely lasted a month

There is this elderly couple who regularly come in to the restaurant I work and today we got to talking while I was on break and I asked how long they’d been together he said 76 years, I asked him what the secret was and he looked her right in the eye and said I make sure to take her every where with me so I’ll never have to tell her goodbye, never have to kiss her goodbye and she just smiled and said yeah and I nag him a lot and she just playfully hit hit him on the shoulder and just imagine the life they have lived together, they have great great grandchildren and they still look at each like they are teenagers wrapped in a whirlwind of young love and I hope one day that will be me and my significant other

Shout out to the internet because until I found tumblr I had no idea there was such thing as a sexuality other than straight or a gender other than the one you were assigned at birth and I never knew that such great friendships and relationships would form from talking to the strangers on the internet. I had no idea I wasn’t alone.
