here they are! the first references of the au— the cometparents! i decided not to change their last name to crater because i truly love them being the comets, and the origin of their last name.

Description: Barry is a physicist and lover of all things science. He values family, education, and honesty. The dad that loves helping with homework, that always embarrasses you in front of your friends, and also the dad that you *really* don’t want to be disappointed in you.

UNI CORNELIUS

Name: Uni Cornelius Comet

Gender: Transfeminine* (she/any)

Orientation: Queer aegosexual

Description: Uni is a digital artist and gaming KneeTuber. She’s definitely considered the cool mom, and many of her kids confide in her when they make mistakes. They love sewing, playing FPS and RPG games, drawing, and being with their family.

POLARIS “POLLY” KLEPSKY COMET

Name: Polaris “Polly” Klepsky Comet

Gender: No label (all pronouns)

Orientation: Arospec queer

Description: Polly is a sculptor and generally very artistic. She keeps notes throughout the day to help with memory, and her family is a big help when it comes to that. The kids consider them easy to get along with, and enjoy watching them work.

DOOM COMET

Description: Doom works for an animation studio and loves his work. They’re a big fan of emo music and always have been, and find comfort in it. Skull loves skulls family deeply, and is thankful for their unending support and love. However, sometimes Doom seems rather distant…

I’m a little new to tumblr formatting, so I hope this works good!

Just to note, Uni’s goggles are *not* magic and do not help them see. She has the same limited vision as she does in Sparklecare, and their house is accommodated for to make things more comfortable for her and Polly in terms of getting around.

I couldn’t decide whether to give Uni partial or no vision, so if anyone has a suggestion or better idea please let me know! For the time being, it will be as I explained above. Thank you!

Description: As the oldest of the Cometkids, Marco feels that he had to grow up too quick. If that wasn’t enough, he hardly gets any *proper* sleep, and always feels tired. From his narcolepsy, to his job as a cashier, to his siblings, to his parents… He enjoys computer science and technology, and video games help take his mind off of things!

SLITE “SLY” LI ILL

Name: Slite “Sly” Li Ill

Gender: Cis man?… (publicly he/him) (online, uses she/fen)

Orientation: Demiromantic bisexual

Description: Sly is a big fan of art, comics, and creating OCs! Sly struggles with depression (among other things), which has severely impacted Sly’s relationship with others. Sly is a lot more social online, and enjoys participating in the (online) ferrie community!

ALLY STAR CORNELIUS

Description: Ally is a lover of all things space-related, from astronomy to UFOlogy! She enjoys spending time with her parents, and oftentimes wishes kit didn’t feel so embarrassed by her dad… Ally has a very short temper, and this anger is part of why she feels alienated from others in her family.

EVELYN “EVE” ILL

#1 Sports Fan

Name: Evelyn “Eve” Ill

Gender: Cis girl (she/squeak)

Orientation: Bisexual

Description: Eve is the troublemaker of the family… She loves sports, dinerries, and most of all: causing chaos. Eve seeks attention, and finds it easiest to get when she’s being mean. Squeak thinks all squeaks cruel words and boundary-pushing is understood as a “loving joke”, but for everyone else it isn’t.

No major design changes for these kiddos! Aside from giving Marco some more body hair… No star pupils for Ally because I tried to make kits design a little less crowded?… (totally not because i forgot)

Sly has “bad coping” colors, this was inspired by @/winterfeverscare ‘s “True Colors” series! Definitely go check em out, along with their edits + comics! I never really noticed Ally and Eve have beards, but I love it!!! I didn’t realize Uni had one when I made her ref, so I made sure to include it for these two. I imagine Ally puts her eyelashes on everyday like that panel of Doom from the preboot.

cratercare: cometcare rewritten

welcome to cratercare! this is an au/rewrite of the cometcare au.

this au is purely for fun and not meant to shame or insult the original au, even if i take issues with some things in it!

asks are welcome! i’ll try to reply to all of them :]

requests or suggestions for what i should add/change in my rewrite are very welcome! i can’t promise everything, though!

if you take issues with a change i’ve made, let me know! i’d love to hear other opinions and discuss it :D

what are the changes from the normal AU?

thank you for asking! :D

in my opinion, most of the changes aren't too big, but they're special to me at least. some of the main changes are:

pollarrydoomi is still the central ship, but barry and doom are just partners, not married. their relationship is the most rocky out of all the comets, but they try not to show it.

pollarry met in a completely different manner while in the hospital. this probably won't be mentioned outside of barry reminiscing on the first time he spoke to polly. (basically barry is Respectful to polly and not weird)

chloe is solely hemera's kid. hemera lives alone with her daughter and is completely happy with that! she's still in a qpr with some of the comet parents though!

blair, soob, and possibly alphie are not doom's kids. sorry doom. as an extension of that, i can say for certain that miloom is not apart of this au. sorry miloom fans.

fur saturation is something noticed among anthries. the comet parents take notice of this.

uni cannot see 100% perfect. her goggles are not magic, and she remains with very limited vision like in the main comic (sparklecare). this may change to having no vision at all, but for the time being she is still visually impaired. she uses a white cane when outside of the house. uni wears her goggles as a means of "protecting" and not scaring her kids.

the house is accommodated for uni and polly! trying to work out the specifics right now.

the parents care about their kids a Little more. please?

these are all the main ones i can think of! some others are just tiny design changes (and by that i mean the SMALLEST amount of differences) and tiny background details (like the mock less monster having an anthry/anthry adjacent form)
