Her body felt heavy, almost as if moving it would take a great amount of effort. And it was a strange feeling; nobles were creatures that could easily traverse heights and distances. She could not even lift her eyelids all the way, having them open partly as she attempted to take in her surroundings.

Sterile white... the color of the Union. And... were these restraints on her wrists? But she could not even summon the power to break them... it was almost as if she had no power at all. Perhaps this was true, and though she never knew what being a human felt like, this situation certainly drew the feeling close to home.

Her mind was foggy. And yet, minutes later, memories started to return to her in pieces. A most prominent one... was of the person who brought her here in the first place. Leverage... and compromise. ❝ Ignes... ❞ And was this proof that compassion proved to be the Lord’s downfall? ❝ You... what did you... ❞

scary otp: Tao and Gradeus 👀

Which one is more fond of scary movies: Tao??? Gradeus probably doesn’t get scared that easily? But Tao is more likely to scream and shout and grab unto Gradeus when they do watch

Which one gets the most excited about Halloween: Tao cuz he’s literally a kid. 

Which one would be more likely to survive the apocalypse: tbh Tao just escaped an axe-wielding killer. He has the skills. Buuut Gradeus has the killer instinct/moves so they could actually be a team??

Which one would literally kill for the other: Gradeus already kills people so ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌ he has the experience. Tao would just blackmail people

Which one likes to scare or startle the other: Gradeus ofc isn’t it obvious, he already scares Tao out sometimes

Which one is more likely to need comforting when they get spooked: Tao ofc he’s one big baby sometimes ┐( ˘_˘)┌

Which one always puts on a brave face: Not sure about this one but they can both be good at bluffing? Gradeus I think? Tao’s expressions depend on the situation

Which one would be more dangerous if they suddenly became violent: Again, Gradeus is like 110% dangerous when violent

Which one would be more likely to commit a crime: Tao is a good boy??? Gradeus kills people??? But Tao probably has hacked, vandalized and broke some minor laws so he does minor infractions from time to time when needed and Gradeus wouldn’t even pick a lock so Tao’s more likely to commit violations but Gradeus murders people ┐(；´・Д・`)┌ 

Which one believes in ghosts: tbh Tao is more afraid of offending spirits, ghosts and demons than offending his almost-murder :/

Which one likes to watch spooky show on television: Hey demons it’s ya boi Tao

Which one would propose the idea of holding a seance: Tao to Gradeus: what if we tried to talk to your victims????

Which one has nightmares more often: tbh idrk but Tao gets creeped out easily so maybe Tao

Which one would want to explore a real haunted house: Gradeus because Tao will more or less shake, stutter and get paralyzed the moment they step inside

It was so hard figuring out what she would do because she herself didn’t know, so I just had to walk through it and see how her opinion changed. She truly wanted to help them both, but having a Tevinter magister involved with the mages scared her away from dealing with their issues first. She felt like with the Inquisition at such a young stage, their forces weren’t ready to deal with whatever was going on and she would need the templars’ help, though really she was underestimating the Inquisition’s power out of her own fear. It’s a good shift development-wise where she has to really come to grips with the fact that she cannot be a bystander. She has to make the hard decisions and be ready for the consequences.

“Ah, I heard that you were interested in Dr. Aris’ research.” A perfect bow was given to the Noble scientist, before Yuri lifted himself up effortlessly and adjusted his glasses. His new assignment, for some unfathomable reason, was to stay close to Ignes’ and Aris’ side, seeing if he could gather some information of use for Dr. Crombel. “Pleasure to meet you, Dr. Ignes. I am Yuri, and I have been assigned to be your assistant, as well as a means of communication between yourself and Dr. Aris. Since she’s busy with her new experiments, that is.”
