MULTIPLES OF 4 for the char ask meme as revenge (any oc!)
[looks at my reflection in the mirror] oh hubris?
we’re gonna do these forrrrrr… Craykin! because i’ve been working on his backstory lately & i need to spend time on characters that aren’t Lution lmao
How easy is it to earn their trust? Both super easy and super hard; he trusts people by default, but becomes suspicious very easily & isn’t inclined to forgive perceived slights.
What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child? Stop robbing people blind and start wearing a jacket, it’s freezing out you little goblin
How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach? Like all respectable Krawks, Craykin is a big fan of writhing up against a tree and looking foolish
What makes their stomach turn? Craykin cannot abide injustice in any form, but brands of it based on certain groups believing themselves to be superior make him want to throw up. He wants to facilitate peace between Mystery Island natives and those who live in the tourist towns, but he’s got his claws full convincing the colonists they ain’t shit
If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so? With a lot of stammering, probably–but he’d eventually settle down and explain how he feels about his adoptive family, and how romantic love (for him at least) is more salient. He isn’t generally surrounded by people he considers viable romantic interests, so he doesn’t have a lot of experience, but he grew up hearing about that sort of thing.
Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom? To anyone he considers a friend! He often seeks advice for his own uh, encounters, and does his best to reciprocate, though he’s woefully uninformed on affairs of the heart.
Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth? Absolutely not. Craykin prefers to know what’s going on at all times, particularly given his precarious position at work. If someone isn’t being honest with him, he considers it an insult and potentially even a threat–this stuff could get him killed, after all.
Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke? He has a tendency to wax poetic about the jungle, but he’s kind of just generally jovial. His go-to story is “This is my life story, what’s yours?”
Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap? He doesn’t really feel like he has time for it, honestly. He welcomes what comes his way, but he’d have serious reservations about making a longer-term commitment. To Craykin, everything is about finding his sister and protecting the island. Any relationship would just be a bonus–or a distraction.
How sensitive are they to their own flaws? Extremely. He knows he can be loud, and coarse, and that he’ll never fully understand what it’s like to have your homeland be under assault (his own is long-since conquered) but he’s doing his best. He tries to be open to criticism, and for the most part he succeeds, though he has a hard time with Rabango in particular. It’s hard to be lectured by someone who doesn’t actually know what they’re talking about. He spends a lot of time worrying that he’s insensitive, too–his brashness doesn’t lend itself well to manners, and he often oversteps his bounds.
