I finally colored this CrayTaynus yaoi ink drawing from May 2025!! 💜🌚🌹🌞💛

My fixation on them has returned almost full-force so it felt like the perfect time...

some speculative stuff about Crayzar & Tyetaynus as kiddos. I'm not sure what the Saytar lifespan is like, or whether they even HAVE kids, but there was a kid one in concept art so there's my excuse. :P

I headcanon that Tyetaynus was very weak in terms of magical power compared to other Saytar, and so he focused more on physical strength with the aid of technology and military power. Because of this and his smaller size, I also headcanon that Crayzar was tasked with looking after his brother, but would often even abandon that duty to run off and do his own thing- leaving Tyetaynus to run after him and be the responsible one, all while Crayzar still gets all the credit.

I often think about the idea that Tyetaynus and Crayzar were actually "close" before Crayzar left, and I wonder what that would have looked like if we got to see their backstory, so I wanted to explore that a bit. :P

I FINALLY finished this little comic thing about Crayzar and Tyetaynus as kids… I forgot to say last time, but I made Little Tyetaynus' hairstyle different because of his line, "Don't you recognize me, Crayzar?" and because his current hairstyle just screams "I had a villain arc and I want everyone to know it" to me. XP

I feel kinda "eh" about the dialogue but I wanted to do a little thing that showed their respective ambitions, the plans they had, and how Tyetaynus perhaps always had a sadistic side. All speculative stuff but I love thinking about them!

Also this was before I started drawing them with the boots, hence the weird placeholder with the one-piece wrapping around their feet...

Demon Saytar (off screen): Crayzar, you're in charge of protecting your brother.

Crayzar: Understood! I'll do my best!

Tyetaynus: Crayzar?! Wait for me!!

Why must you run off like that? Father told us to stay together.

Crayzar: Look at this! There are so many unique lifeforms out there in the universe, and one day, we'll get to explore them all together!

...

Crayzar: Tyetaynus?! Why did you do that?

Tyetaynus: It's just a silly flower, brother. There are a million just like it out there, waiting to be conquered.

You'll get to play with all the lower lifeforms you want... and I'll become stronger, so you won't have to worry about me.

🌞💛SOLAR ECLIPSE💜🌚

Sometimes I like to imagine an AU where Crayzar and Tyetaynus really did travel the galaxy and eventually ruled over Earth together. What their combined rule would look like, I'm not sure. :P More rambling under the cut ->

I half imagine a "Nightmare Moon" scenario where Tyetaynus gets fed up with Crayzar's nonsense and tries to overthrow him- leading to either Tyetaynus being contained/banished or Crayzar having to rebel against his brother with the Leptons.

In general, I imagine Tyetaynus governing most of the military/defense side of things while even getting to throw his two cents into how the Game goes, though that's still mostly Crayzar's territory. In a scenario where they're not clashing or being usurped by the other, I just love to imagine how it would affect things and how their dynamic would go because on one hand, if they were getting along, I can imagine them nerding out together about things like the Ballmaster and whatever new technology either of them is using to create mechs and weapons and more.

But it would also mean that Crayzar would have to think about someone other than himself or his people at large. I have this headcanon that Crayzar is rather oblivious to how his actions affected his brother because he's so wrapped up in what he wants to do, so I can imagine that creating rifts and some resentment. At the same time, I can see Tyetaynus becoming more and more uptight as Crayzar becomes apathetic and bored- maybe Tyetaynus worries that his brother isn't taking his duties seriously, and maybe Crayzar finds that Tyetaynus is being a buzzkill / controlling.

ALSO- for all of Crayzar's good intentions and best wishes for humanity, I really believe that both of them are sadistic in their own ways. Like... Crayzar clearly enjoys the blood sport and mayhem and watching people struggle as they climb back up- and for Tyetaynus, I think he really enjoys getting any kind of power he can over someone else..... So I think it would be fun to see how that would play out, since now Crayzar has someone who is on his "level" basically.

TL;DR: I think they're neat and I love imagining them in different scenarios- I hope we get to see more Ballmastrz in the future, and especially more Tyetaynus and his backstory with Crayzar. :,-)

Instead of thoughts, I just have the first 3 seconds of "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace playing on loop in my head.

The last one is based off one of Christy Karacas' storyboards for Rubicon- Crayzar wasn't actually flipping Tyetaynus off, but it has the same energy. XD

I know it's very likely unintentional, but I love how Crayzar and Tyetaynus both do the "arms and fists raised in the air" thing when they're talking about something they think is cool.

They're brothers after all, so I suppose they would share some common traits and mannerisms, tehe. (Not to mention they're both talking about some kind of weapon/tech in these two scenes...)
