And then proceeding to always have an excuse for not dating for YEARS
“oh im focused on school (highschool edition)”
“oh I’m focused on school (grad school edition)”
“I want to get a better job so i can more easily afford dates”
“I should make friends before trying to date”
“Uhh I’ll try dating next year?” (Repeat forever until people stop asking)
and upon being bored and just looking stuff up on the Hail Mary finds out about aroace goes “yea that makes sense” and moves on
