Just wondering, I'm behind on spn, when I catch up, is this episode necessary watching for the ongoing stuff?

NOPE. I mean… there are some developments I assume are going to be relevant to future episodes, but I’m going to include those under a read-more for you right now so you can peek under when you catch up, if you want to.

Here goes, while it’s still sorta fresh in my mind–the stuff that may be relevant to future episodes:

Gavin, Crowley’s son, shows up again and then ~stuff happens~ which means that he no longer exists in the current time. We can probably assume that Rowena and Crowley will not be getting along particularly well for a bit.

Crowley is keeping Lucifer in chains in Hell that are similar to the material that makes up the Cage. Apparently, Crowley recovered the Nick vessel and “upgraded” it, and I kinda call bull, but Mark Pellegrino makes an effective Lucifer, so I’m going to do my best to pretend I buy it.

Kelly, the woman who is pregnant with Lucifer’s baby, is rescued from Angels by Ramiel’s sibling Dagon, who is interested in protecting her.

Crowley learns Kelly is still alive and pregnant.

Mary is still working with the BMoL, and she keeps up a ruse for a while with the boys. Ketch tells her she should break it off with them. Instead, she ends the episode by telling them what she’s doing. Sam and Dean bring up Sam’s torture (token mention), but Mary persists.

I think that might be all.

Honestly, no one should have to endure this episode without support.

Thank you all so much! Tiny human isn’t due to exit my uterus until approximately mid-January 2017, so lots of time to prepare and get ready to welcome them into this ridiculous and beautiful world. In the mean time, I’m doing my best to take care of my body and, by extension, the tiny, and also jokingly calling them a problem child whenever I feel icky or discover a food aversion. (Yogurt, of all things. Button--that’s my nickname for it--does not want me eating anything involving yogurt in any form. Which sucks, because it’s such a great, easy-to-eat form of protein and dairy. Like I said, Button is clearly already a problem child, the stinker.)

Just wanted to check in and asks when we need to have our drafts submitted by? I've been writing it by hand and need to type it up.

Rough drafts are due January 15th.  The purpose of rough drafts is to make sure your story is progressing and that you have enough material to give your artist so they can get to work.  It doesn’t need to be fully done until your posting date, no earlier than Feb 19th.  So whatever you have typed out by January 15th should be fine for drafts, as long as you have something your artist can start to work from.

Maybe it’ll just be Adam and they can leave the Archangels in their cage and we can ignore them, but Sam could maybe get some closure or something? This is desperate hoping.

It would be a really cool thing to do, to make it seem like the messages are coming from the angels but it’s actually Adam. I like that idea, but it’s probably not. Way more people are hoping to get Lucifer back than Adam and I see the writers going there before bringing back Adam. I just don’t know how they’d bring ANY of them back without the 4 horsemen and their rings to open it???? They’d have to go crazy against canon to do this (not that that makes it out of the realm of possibility). Maybe it’s just a flashback...............

As for Sam getting closure, I’m not sure the writers care enough about Sam or continuity to give us that. It’s hard for me to have a lot of faith because I had so much last season based on what the first few episodes did and I was not rewarded. I was betrayed for my faith so... IDK. We will have to see. I can say I’d be much more forgiving if that’s what they did with it... but I can’t afford to hope for that.
