ok maybe this fandom is too young to really know which are rarepairs and which are "i havent to making content for it yet"
I agree. some of the rarepairs I’ve read I feel shouldn’t be considered rarepair, but since the fandom is kinda small rn, it feels that way.
rarepair should be characters that has little to no interaction/chemistry; usually side characters with minor roles in the story whose dynamic is mostly cooked up by the shipper expanding upon the most scarce canon details (admittedly, even SamGene isn’t a rarepair by definition LOL)
But the post bore such good results. It’s like taste testing various handcrafted wine. So rarepair or not, these ships need content. I did hope for the post to blow up so fans could find other shippers of the same pair, or explore dynamics of various characters, LO has a lot of them! And uniquely designed too.
Shipping or even just liking something alone, you kinda just yearn for the visions to be tangible yk. It can be encouraging to create if you know there is someone out there who’d enjoy it too. Ofc that’s not to say you can’t make content just for yourself, that’s absolutely valid too.
So this was my evil plan. Or in the words of Will Graham: This is my design.
