the character i least understand: ulysses. just get over it, 4head

interactions i enjoyed the most: the chirps between companions or out in the field in 4 were great but Nick Valentine's were always the best

the character who scares me the most: Father Elijah in specific, the Enclave in general

the character who is mostly like me: Porter Gage. it's the apocalypse. find a tough crew and mansplain manipulate malewife your way to a position of comfort. carry an AK for when folks give you lip. sigma grindset. tbh I'm align more w/ Preston ideologically but I'm too weak to be such a Chad at the end of the world

hottest looks character: oh woof pretty hard to argue this in a series where until recently everyone has looked like potato people but I've always crushed on Amata from 3

one thing i dislike about my fave character: ED-E dies at the end of lonesome road (unless you're, like, super okay with nuking the legion, which is totally fair but ooo that's a lot more collateral damage than i'm willing to bargain for)

one thing i like about my hated character: meme asks for character so I can't say chris avellone but Dean Domino's voice acting is just delightfully smarmy

a quote or scene that haunts me: the endings of dead money, old world blues, lonesome road. the intro cutscene of 4. pretty much any scene where Joshua Graham gets to monologue. mr. handy reading "there will come soft rains" in 3. DiMA's execution in far harbor.

a death that left me indifferent: killing Mr. House. boo hoo, the immortal plutocrat got his head stoved in with a golf club. cry about it, reddit

a character i wish died but didn’t: GOD i'm so tempted to say chris avellone but that'd actually be too mean Colonel Moore. Marcy Long who is immortal for reasons I cannot divine.

my ship that never sailed: if not for the laws of this land I would have romanced Amata and The Mariner. probably Cass and Veronica too. Follows-Chalk while I’m at it

HOO boy! Well...

1) It’s now available on every platform! Switch requires you to be on the internet, as it’s streamed to you to play, but I’ve read it runs really well there

2) It’s just GORGEOUS on a technical level-- even on low settings it’s just a lovely game and beautiful to look at, from area design, rendering, colors, the atmosphere.....

3) It’s difficult to describe as far as tone, but it reminds me a lot of Portal in terms of the vibe-- serious, but also fun and funny, knows what it is and owns it, the offices and bureaucracy look sorta like they never left the 60s/70s/80s...

I adore all the characters in it-- it’s extremely well written imo, and even though the story is pretty complex and dances around in the same zones maybe x-files or twin peaks or SCP would, it manages to explain itself very well by drip feeding you the story. The collectibles are AWESOME, the live video segments are excellent, it’s all perfect kinds of quirky

and MAN is it fun to play. Flying everywhere, launching objects, never needing to reload....

When you’re delving into a game where the main group has been locating, containing, and studying paranatural, unusual, powerful objects, everyone and everything is bound to be a lil weird, a lil fun, a lil emotional, and it is just. delightful. I have cried and I have belly laughed and I just. 🅰️ I did a breakdown of the beginning of the game here if ur interested 👀
