Today I decided to paint a symbol of #OgólnopolskiStrajkKobiet, because of the recent events in Poland. I am prochoice and I think that our government is way out of line.

Who Am I?
For different people, I have different forms;
A fingerprint of personality,
Almost invisible in some and overfowing
In others but beautiful all the same.
I come in the sweep of color,
The stroke of graphite, in the
Click of metal and wire,
From the steel of spice and flavor.
I come from those who see the perfection
In the smallest of item.

Why hiring the ‘best’ people produces the least creative results
The fallacy of meritocracy persists - Scott Page suggests if you focus on hiring "the best" you tend to get homogeneity which produces the least creative results. Instead you want to cultivate the productive friction that comes from diversity
VPAxWinston Covers: "Too Good at Goodbyes" Kick off the weekend with a soothing song from Janessa! Special thanks to Dhiether for acting as her special someone ;)
Last October, I had the opportunity of making a music video of “Too Good At Goodbyes”. Initially, it was supposed to be a cover of Adele’s song, “Someone Like You”, however, we decided to switch to a song that could tell more of a story.
From the shooting of the music video, there were a lot of hurdles like the weather, time, and roles that we had to play out to make this possible. I was the main “actress” in the video, but I also learned to support my “supporting actor”. I made sure to connect with him to make the video flow well and look like it is real. I had to make sure that my ideas were heard and understood so that as a team, we could collaboratively agree on what the next step was.
Overall, the music video was a success and I couldn’t have done it without the help of the VPA team. Working together may have been a struggle with clashing ideas and different time schedules, but in the end, the result was surely greater than the cost. I am incredibly proud of what I and the VPA team have produced and I am thankful that I had this opportunity to create a music video with them. LO5h

Along the way of planning out Bayanihan project, LP4Y decided that what we had to offer was not compatible with what they needed no we looked for another organisation to partner up with. We adjusted to the sudden change and we found the Rosa L. Susano Elementary School instead. We went to the school to meet up with the head and we talked about the plans we had for the Bayanihan project. We planned on making an audio visual room / library for the disabled students to enjoy since they did not have enough funds for this. I think it sparked the creative parts of us because we could plan to design how the room would look like. During the meeting, we planned what we wanted to do for the 3 days of CAS week and we even talked about how we could spend a day with the kids so that we could build a relationship with them. During our visit, I saw how public schools were. They did not have enough resources so that students could have the best education. Their materials were outdated, classrooms crowded, and the environment was very hot. By partnering with them, I am happy to say that I could help at least one public school. In the future, I would like to help more because this is an issue in the Philippines, as well as around the world. What I saw was just one public school but I know that there are more out there with even worse conditions and hopefully, this will be better addressed by the government. LO4c, LO6a
