✮ I Want a Fender to Bear My Name ✮
Daily writing promptIf you could have something named after you, what would it be?View all responses I have always dreamt of a guitar that sits somewhere between a Fender Stratocaster and a Fender Telecaster. Both guitars shaped how we hear modern music, but they speak in different voices. The Strat feels fluid and expressive, more twangy. The Tele has two single-coil pickups and a wider bridge…
Impressive... most impressive! ;)
Make an album the Tunng way
What are the secrets to making a band and keeping that band together? Throughout the history of recorded music and live musical acts, people have been trying to put bands together in the hopes that they can become successful and make money while their doing it. All of the elements seems to be there. They have talented musicians, band members with their own personalities, and of course some good looks – but it doesn’t seem to work. For whatever reason, the band doesn’t go on to produce any hits and they fail to become successful on any level. What gives? [embed width="656"]http://youtu.be/0FA4cbLjHUw[/embed] The problem here is that this band lacks something fundamental that cannot be bought or sold. They do not have unity. A real band – the type of band where everyone in it knows each other for years, has lived together and has gone through ups and downs together. When a band lives together and practices in the same house, their cohesiveness is unmatched. Building your own instruments sounds strange, but it is a good way of generating ideas. Also, some of the well known bands have created their style through experimentation. These little risks actually add up to a real reward. http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/make-an-album-the-tunng-way-580958/4
