Damn I suck at taking project pics but my fav pants have been fixed (for now). Had to add a patch to the corners of every pocket because they all had small holes, used Goma-Shio again from the Creative Mending book and I'm hoping it will hold fairly well. Tried to line the stitches up on some and stagger them in others and I think staggering them makes the fabric feel stronger. On to shortening my shorts!

My girlfriend accidentally ripped the crotch of her shorts running around playing with her little cousins. I did a sashiko-inspired internal patch, using visible mending principles but using muted colours as ... any eye-catching design will be right over the girlcrotch for this one.

It was very fiddly and I used a tissue to draw on the pattern, then pulled it off the garment after sewing! That's what the little flecks of white left over are.

🪶 painting over a stain that i couldn‘t wash out of my shoe. we‘ve got a swallow‘s nest above our living room window and i always see them soaring through the sky. absolutely love that view and it inspired me to fix my shoe with a blob of paint.
