One of the great ironies is that I have alot of creative friends, but all of them are more focused on characters, story, and plot stuff, whereas I'm focused on biology and world-building

Don't get me wrong, I love to make stories, I still want to make stories, even. But I also really like world-building and detailing where characters live, who these characters are on a biological level, and what their environment is like

Additionally, I'm struck with the curse that I simply don't know everything, and that I have no creative friends who have the likewise mindset of wanting to build an entire world, or at least the regions the characters will pass through/live in

I need to go do zoomies or something. After finishing a big project, I'm always vibrating with energy a good while afterwards. Brain doesn't catch up that I'm finished

Also known as I made a compilation of the two dancers I'm following for Ballet Au research because, they are so freaking talented and I got bit by the MUST WRITE NOW bug again. I needed a creative outlet but I think it just made me want to write it more. oops.

Making time for creative things.

I finished knitting a pair of mittens for my sibling that was supposed to be a gift for last year's Christmas. I lost steam with them in November 2021, restarted them twice in December 2021 because I hadn't remembered the pattern, and then gave up until this October when i realized they wouldn't be done in time. I have restarted them and changed patterns a couple of times since then but now they are ready for gifting and I am proud of myself for finishing them.

I am prouder that I am trying to do the creative things again. I tend to get caught up in the end result and put off ever starting a creative thing because I don't think it'll be "good". I am learning to delight in process over product I suppose. "practicing living in the moment" and all that jazz.
