Asked my partner for an npc at random with no context and got Anise✨️ which should be interesting!
17. Have you ever felt physical pain over this character? (ex: physical heartache).
Nope, though that answer would be the same across gw2. I love the characters and world deeply but none have caused me any actual physical pain from my feelings.
except for that one time back when HoT was new, the final boss fight hadn't been fixed or balanced at all, and I turned around with half mordy's health left to see I was the ONLY ONE ON MY SQUAD still alive and I spent a literal half hour soloing him frantically ._. I could feel my heart during that lmao
My feelings toward Anise are strong though, she's a really really well crafter minor antagonist. And I'd love to see more done with the seedier sides of her and the shining blade.
18. Do you prefer to see this character suffer or know peace? Angst or comfort? Both?
It's complicated! I think right now she knows peace absolutely, she's top of the world with diplomatic immunity and dirt on everyone. Nothing could topple her. But I'd have a ton of fun seeing what it'd take to knock her down several pegs. What would it take to break the shining blade spy network?
My partner and I like to make her a more prevalent minor antagonist often in our plots, which then also requires a more direct confrontation with her. So in a way I guess I like to see her suffer? She's such a powerfully fun element to play with at times.
19. Does this character serve as a stress ball/ security blanket for you? Something you run to after a bad day to feel safe or happier?
Nope! She's fun, but pretty inconsequential to my daily ongoings or stress moments. She can sometimes be secondarily attached though as she can be a good vehicle for conflict/angst-development in my emotional blorbos!
