What You Have to Offer is a Gift to the World
You are worthwhile. What you offer this world is a unique gift - yourself. Express yourself to the world - you’re good enough.
I'm creating designs that stand against tyranny. This specific design will show that you protest the fascist takeover of the United States of America. RESIST. RESIST. RESIST. NEVER RELENT. The fascists won't.
Graphic design with text that lets everyone know that you stand against fascism being forced upon the American people. Project 2025 is a pla
My life went haywire shortly after I had this idea... I now want to revisit it, along with also using the usually-discarded packaging to create other decorative and/or functional objects, possibly even using the things to upcycle other unwanted items.
How's Optum Rx just gonna show up in our mailbox like...
"Hiya!
Look, we decided to be heartless jerks change the Quantity Limit on some meds, sooooo..."
"Sorry not sorry, buuut... your kid can only have ONE tablet a day of the medication they need" (even though it's prescribed for TWICE a day). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Oh, and BTW, if you buy the remainder of the prescription so they can have their second doses... Uh, yeah... don't even think we're going to count that towards your deductible!"
"You know how it sounds like something that should at least go towards your deductible?"
"Well, it's not!" 🤣
- this concludes my sarcastic summary of the letter received today from Optum Rx 🙄🥺😫😡🤬
Anyone else spend unreasonable amounts of time on something *minor, in a relative sense?
*For example, editing a photo for someone you care about?
I often find myself borderline obsessing over doing things "just right," stopping to beat myself up several times throughout the process, because I'm "taking so long," and "can't seem to get it right..."
Even though I'm really tough on myself, I also often get excited and happy about figuring out how to do something, or how to make something work out the way I want for whatever thing I'm doing.
Every time I hyperfocus with this savage level of perfectionism, I feel awful at the end of the day for not spending time on other things. While in the midst of a stretch of these days, I start telling myself every morning that "today will be different," and that "I'll set a reasonable goal this time and make it happen."
But, big surprise - it rarely ever happens.
Current situation:
I've literally spent over 2 weeks editing three photos, spending between 4-8 hours a day working on them, and I'm still not finished with one. 😮💨🥺😬😔🤔😵💫😩😭
I'm posting this at 2:15ish in the morning because I stayed up late working on the photos, and I've been beating myself up about yet another day of hyperfixation and so many other things left undone. It's pretty bad for my already low sense of self worth. 😔
What's wrong with me?
I've never seen a sensory map for an exhibit or museum, etc. This is really cool. I'm going to this exhibit soon, and while I don't have major issues with sensory input, I do occasionally experience sensory overload. Knowing what kind of sensory input the exhibit will have happening where is very helpful for me.
Sadly, I do not have the spoons to add an image description to this...
1 million Americans with disabilities might be missing out on benefits, researcher says
A researcher estimates that over 1 million Americans with disabilities aren't getting the benefits they may need.
And those of us who do receive benefits are struggling to get by. 😔
