Homemade Newfoundland Pizza is a delicious and hearty pizza loaded with unique toppings like cooked bacon, sausage, and a touch of sweetness from pineapple. It's a delightful twist on traditional pizza, perfect for any pizza lover!
Ingredients: 1 pizza dough. 1/2 cup pizza sauce. 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded. 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded. 1/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled. 1/4 cup cooked sausage, crumbled. 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped. 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped. 1/4 cup onion, chopped. 1/4 cup pineapple chunks. 1/4 cup canned mushrooms, sliced. 1/4 cup black olives, sliced. 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/4 teaspoon dried basil. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set your oven to 475F 245C before you start cooking. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to the thickness you want. Place the dough on a baking sheet or pizza pan that has been greased. Don't cover the dough with pizza sauce all the way to the edges; leave a little space for the crust. The cheddar and mozzarella cheese should be put on top of the sauce. Spread the cooked sausage and bacon out evenly on top of the cheese. Cut up the red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and onion and put them on the pizza. Add black olives, chunks of pineapple, and sliced mushrooms on top. On top of the whole pizza, sprinkle dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. It should be baked in a hot oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down for a few minutes before cutting it. Enjoy while hot!
