Following the walk under CityWalls in Fort St Elmo direction the landscape is starting to change. I am passing boat sheds and mooring platforms. Some colors starting to brake the yellow of limestone and blue of water and sky, but far before high season everything is locked up and so peacefull and a bit creepy at the same time 😉 Kontynuując drogę wzdłuż murów Valetty ku Fortowi Św Elma surowy krajobraz zaczynają przełamywać kolorowe schowki na łodzie i miejsca do cumowania. Autumn from the top of Sugarloaf Mountain...probably one of my favorite local hiking spots. It’s not a very high altitude, yet it offers enough diversity in the trails to add to the appeal of its already convenient location. Bonus, my house is situated on a hill that affords me quite the view of this mountain right from my own backyard and when I walk my pups. As much as I could continue to post photo after photo of Ireland, I will finish off this series and hopefully be back with more in March. 🙏 Saving the best for last, we have Cobh (pronounced cove). This little coastal town in southern County Cork is known for two reasons: having one of the deepest natural harbors in the world and also that it was where the Titanic set sail (though built in Belfast). ⚓️🚢 To say it’s charming doesn’t even begin to do it any justice. Blarney Castle and Watch Tower are consider partial ruins of the medieval fortress located in Southern Ireland. At the very top of the castle is the Stone of Eloquence, or as it is better known...the Blarney Stone. Irish folklore says that those who kiss the stone have the "Gift of Gab", or rather the skill of flatterly and the ability to deceive without offending. Hence if you are thought to be telling a tale, one might ask if you've been kissing the Blarney Stone, or "Cloch na Blaran" in Irish.
