This is much longer of a description than I originally planned so please enjoy.

So yeah, I’ve been teasing at doing creature children for a while now and I’ve finally gotten it done. Took me almost a month to get this all done. I wasn’t sure which approach I should take at first since I have a lot of different ideas for what they’d each look like. But at the end of the day, I decided to go with what I thought they would look like as creatures when I was a kid. True the memories were a little vague but I think 12-13 year old me would be proud ^^’

When I was younger I was learning about things like gene splicing (from my dad) and I found it to be such a fascinating idea. However, I also read a book about how gene splicing could go horribly wrong (humans susceptible to new diseases, errors to the gene splicing process and so on.) So as a kid a lot of my idea’s for creature main 4 were sort of mostly creature with some of their human traits shining through. They also have some other internal issues that happened during the process of being turned into creatures that are now slowly killing them, hence why they would want to turn back into humans asap.

Just in case you can't tell from left to right you have Kaz, Tom, Sarah, and Peyton. I also added creature Brinda on the bottom because I did her but decided not to add her to the group shot since she’s just an OC.

Actually, truth be told I’m very reluctant to post creature Brinda at all. Mostly because I fucked up with the glowing effect. Oh well, I’ll try harder next time.

Someone told me it was MerMay so I was like "I need a mermaid for the BRU thing I'll just design her now" and oh boy now I've got ideas for like monster kids who were two young to go with the older monster to the light but old enough to know something was up and they needed to leave before they were effected. I really like her design though, her hair is supposed to be in dreads but under water and short so yeah. Also she's a type of catfish mermaid

Oddballs #5 - Assorted “Creature Kids”. These were all the rage when I was in third grade. I used to get them from quarter machines back when the Rite-Aid in my town was still “Brooks Pharmacy”. Then, the after school store (that I worked at) got the idea (from me) to order them in bulk and sell them to kids. Not surprisingly, seeing as though they had that “collect them all” mentality attached to them, kids went fuckin CRAZY over them (including me, embarrassingly). Kids stole them from the school store, there was a black market where you could buy rare ones for jacked prices, there were fights... it was so tight!!! I used to have a huge collection but I’ve lost most over the years. Whatevs, I can probably order more online, although I likely will not

(A/N: So! I haven't been writing as much as I need to be. I'm genuinely sorry to anyone who actually reads my fics. This is my first NovaHD fic, so please me nice. I tried my best, honestly. Enjoy! uwu)

    James was confused, to be honest. I mean, who wouldn’t be, after finding out they’re sexually attracted to their best friend? Sudden realization and constant contemplation on the matter sent James into a world of confusion and denial.

“A lot of guys probably do this,” James said aloud to himself when trying to excuse his affection for Aleks one night, “It’s absolutely normal.”

            But no, it was far from normal. It also occurred to James that Aleks seemed to know his secret. He was always too close for comfort in a best friend view and always being so… cute. James practically melted anytime Aleks pulled out of his stunts, strutting his hips and winking at him when no one was looking. James thought he was still in denial, and tried to push the thought of Aleks possibly wantinga relationship to the back of his mind. Surely Aleks would go after someone more suited for love than himself. It honestly just annoyed him to no end, striking up a feeling in his chest that was anxious…and oddly hopeful.

     Now, today seemed as unremarkable as the next for James. It was Tuesday, meaning he and Aleks had to do a stream later. He got out of bed like normal, got ready, fed himself and his corgi Ein, and then headed off to work. Hopefully the stream would go as smoothly as possible. Aleks seemed to know how to push James’ buttons in all the wrong ways.

     The day went rather slow-feeling. That is, until James got a knock on his office door. James looked up and saw Aleks’ lanky form standing in the doorway.

    Aleks shoved his hands in his pockets, “We have to stream soon. Can you help me come set up?”

    “Yeah, sure,” James said absent-mindedly, turning to Aleks and gesturing to the monitor closest to him, “Let me save this edit. I’ll be in there in a few.”

      Aleks nodded, turning on his heel and letting his hips sway carelessly as he started to walk away. It was an obvious tease, and James bit his lip while he watched Aleks’ small show. He had decided he’d had enough. James got up quickly, going after Aleks. When he reached the other male, he took him by the hips and spun him around, pushing him against the wall.

     Aleks looked genuinely surprised at first, but his eyes soon glazed over with a more lustful sense as he waited for James to make the next move.

    “You handsome fucker,” James whispered under his breath, pressing against Aleks more.

    Aleks just smirked, “I honestly didn't think it would take this long.”

    James grunted slightly, forcefully mashing his lips to Aleks’. He heard Aleks whimper softly, and that made him smile a tiny bit.

    Aleks pushed James from him slightly so the kiss wasn't so rough, but didn’t break contact nonetheless. He laced his fingers through James’ hair and he felt James press up against him, more gently this time. “James,” Aleks said breathlessly once their lips broke away from each other. He felt James trailing small kissing up his neck He wanted to – and needed to – stop James, honestly just afraid if someone saw them doing this in the hallway. Aleks bit his lip to stop from moaning as James started sucking and nipping at the skin of his neck. “J-James,” He pleaded once more, hearing a simple “hmm?” from the other.

    James stopped, genuinely confused on why he had to do so. “What’s wrong?” He asked softly, but impatiently. He was anxious to continue with Aleks.

    “We still have to stream.” Aleks answered quietly, silently wishing they could continue as well. He kept his head down to hide his blush.

    “Oh, right,” James said stepping back a bit. He looked to both sides of himself to make sure no one was around. Luckily, the hallway was silent besides heavy breathing from Aleks and himself. “Later?” He proposed, looking Aleks straight in the eyes.

    “Yeah, later.” Aleks nodded, rubbing the back of his neck.

    “See you around then, Aleksandr.” James said with a devious smile, kissing Aleks again gently on his lips before walking off to the stream room. He saw Aleks head straight to the bathroom, in which he almost immediately heard the Russian yell “GOD DAMMIT, JAMES!” He only laughed,

“Shouldn’t have let me give you a hickey, dumbass.”

Singing for James

(aka Ally couldn't come up with a title and didn't feel like stressing over it)

Pairing: James (Nova) x OC (or me, in this case.)

(A/N: So I wrote this from an rp that me and my friendo Kassie do, in which we're both a part of The Creatures, I'm dating James and he has a car wreck. Hence why he's in the hospital for the first part of this stupid fic I wrote in ten minutes. Sorry.)

     It was about 11:00 P.M. as Ally texted away at her phone. James was watching her, not being able to move very much in his condition. She looked up, seeing James’ eyes on hers.

     “I need you to do something for me, Ally,” He said in a tired tone. Ally hummed in response. “I want you, to sing something for me.” James continued, adjusting himself slightly on the hospital bed.

     “And what ever would you want me to sing to you, James?” Ally said, replying to a text from Kassie.

     James smirked lightly, “Maybe some Linkin Park, eh? Maybe a bit of In the End.”

     Ally rolled her eyes, “You’re serious?” She earned a nod. “Ugh, fine. But only for you.” She pulled her chair up to the side of the bed, laying her head down so she wouldn’t have to look at James and sing at the same time. It took her a few times to start singing without laughing, still trying to sing quietly too. She finished the song, ending on a sweet note and lifting her head up. James had his eyes closed, and Ally could hear his steady breathing in the completely silent room. She smiled for a second before laying her head back down, reaching for James’ hand and holding it tightly.

~ 1 month later ~

     As busy as always in the Creature office, Ally tapped at the buttons on her 3DS in the stream room. Her boyfriend and best friend were playing a game she didn’t care to pay attention to behind her. They were doing the weekly NovaHD stream, in which she was just in the background of. Basically the only thing the fans could see was the back of the Cookie Monster beanie that was stolen from James by her when he abandoned it. She got tweets saying how it was so cute that was wearing it, and she smiled at every single one of them. But today, Ally’s twitter was blown up with comments like “nice singing, ;)” and “its really sweet that you’d do that for him.” Confused, she sent out a tweet, “I don’t know why you guys are complimenting my singing, care to explain?” Soon, hundreds of tagged tweets all with the same YouTube link appeared. She clicked on one, putting in her headphones and watching as she appeared on the screen. The video was called, “Ally sings for James <3” and was uploaded on "thecreaturehub" account. Confused still, Ally kept listening and watching as the familiar voice of herself tried singing the first few notes of a familiar song.

     “It starts with on- oh my gosh, I can’t do this James.”

     “Come on! You said you’d sing it for me.”

     “Ugh, fine,”

     Ally looked back at Aleks who was focusing on what looked like Super Hexagon before yelling “Hey!” Aleks looked back, and Ally held up her phone which was still playing the video, “What the fuck is this, Aleks?”

     Aleks’ face went pale, “Kassie told me to do it!” He yelled, hopping out of his chair and running out of the room, Ally running out behind him. James picked up Ally’s phone which she had dropped, looking at the URL of the video and typing it into chat with “See James’ girlfriend sing the best song in the world to him” above it. He copy and pasted it a few times, and the chat went nearly silent for a few minutes, then it was flooded by tons of comments James couldn’t read fast enough. He smiled, looking back at the computer screen and starting a new game of Super Hexagon.

     “Yep, she is a pretty good singer.”
