Sorry to be a bit lengthy with my question: progenitor Mimic targeting animated man land(e.g lumbering falls). Am I correct in the fact you receive a token copy of the land at the upkeep, but just inanimate? Would that trigger landfall? Are token lands doubled by cards like Second Harvest?
Yes to all of these questions.
Progenitor Mimic becomes an inanimate copy of Lumbering Falls when it copies the animated land. When Progenitor Mimic/Lumbering Falls’s upkeep trigger resolves, you receive a token copy of the land, also inanimate.
Since the token copy is a land entering the battlefield under your control, it will trigger landfall abilities.
Second Harvest makes copies of all tokens you control, no matter what their types. It doesn’t just copy creature tokens and so you’ll get more land tokens when it resolves.
I have lumbering falls in play, and cast Coastal discovery with awaken, and awaken lumbering falls. The next turn, I use Lumbering falls' activated ability. Is it now a 6/6? And once the turn ends, does it go back to slumbering? Or does it just become a 3/3?
When you awaken Lumbering Falls with Coastal Discovery, it becomes a 0/0 creature and gets four +1/+1 counters on it. The type and power/toughness setting effect last until it leaves the battlefield, even if another effect temporarily overwrites them.
When you animate Lumbering Falls with its activated ability, its ability creates a new type and power/toughness setting effect (as well as gaining hexproof, etc.). These effects override the effects of the awaken spell because they’re more recent. (The effects of the +1/+1 counters apply after the power/toughness setting.)
When the animation ability of Lumbering Falls ends with your turn, all of its effects end but they don’t wipe out the pre-existing effects of awaken. Awaken’s effects are now the most recent type and P/T setting effects and thus they’re the ones that set those characteristics for Lumbering Falls.
Does Hallowed Moonlight work against Land Creatures?
It doesn’t.
Lands that are already on the battlefield that become creatures through abilities like Awaken or their own activated abilities aren’t affected by Hallowed Moonlight. They’re already on the the battlefield and gaining a new type doesn’t make it change zone.
When Thing in the Ice transforms, what happens to land-creatures?
They’re returned to their owners’ hands, just like all other non-Horror creatures.
Does activating haunted plate mail's 0 ability trigger purphoros? Also would an animate land IE creeping tar put trigger purphoros as well?
No.
Those permanents are already on the battlefield. Gaining a new type, i.e. creature, doesn’t cause them to change zones or otherwise trigger abilities that look for creatures to enter the battlefield.
Hello! If i target a land like evolving wilds or a fetch land with wall of resurgence, making it a 3/3, could i still attack without forcing myself to sac the land.
Yes.
Simply becoming tapped doesn’t suddenly activate the search ability. Similarly, a normal land that’s animated doesn’t add mana to your mana pool when you attack with it. You have to specifically activate the search or mana abilities if you want to use them.
