i’ve never played dmc 4 (only watched playthroughs) but........ credo angelo🥺
This seems like an oddly specific ask but: favorite demon type? And what was your reaction upon seeing dmc1 beelzebubs for the first time. I want to know if anyone else was revolted by the larva spewing.
Nah you’re good! These opinion questions are always fun asks. It just took me a second to pull up the DMC bestiary and refresh my memory, but yeah. This was interesting to think about.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by type (i’m not aware of how demons are sorted or ranked, or if they are?), but if you mean like, in general? I prefer more spirit-ish and/or angelic looking demons — it’s a trope that never gets old for me. On the whole, I hate insect type monstrosities and wasn’t too fond of the empusas and whatnot in DMC5. It probably goes without saying but uh... I really hate the beelzebubs, to date lol. The next one down being the ones that look like bent out of shape humans (Fetish, Nobodies, etc.) — I immensely dislike body horror.
That being said:
For common enemies/lesser demons — I’ve always really liked the Sin Scissors (and that cackling laugh they have!), The Fallen, and the Bianco Angelos.
For bosses — Nevan, the Geryon (3&5), Gilgamesh, Artemis, and Proto/Scudo/Cavalier/Nelo Angelo are all pretty dope, imo. Echidna is pretty cool too.
My favorite enemy designs in the series, in general, come from DMC4. If I had to to pick any enemy design (boss or common) as my absolute favorite, though, it would probably be Angelo Credo.
A Walk in the Park (Credo x Reader)
Because we really need some more soft Credo in this fandom, and Credo is just really nice in general, @bibbywolf I know you love him too hunty ~~ ;}} Enjoy~~
Credo has a whole day planned... What exactly is up his sleeve...?
Credo and Credo Angelo-- Boy I hope this doesn’t get nerfed off tumblr
On Credo Angelo and the Order's Armour
I brought this up with some buddies some time last year (or something to that effect, time just keeps on slippin'), but it's incheresting to me that the Bianco and Alto Angelos—the Biancos in particular—have a similar facial structure to Credo Angelo. I am gomen for the shoddy pictures, but there are limited angles of Credo Angelo's face in game, so I just skimmed through a cutscene compilation and did my best.
I don't quite remember exactly what it was I said now, but I think I talked a bit about how it's possible that the suits of armour weren't built as a reflection of Credo Angelo, but the other way around? All of what I'm about to say is 100% my own indulgent headcanon, so honestly, if nobody agrees, that's fine, this is all for my own benefit (and fics) anyway, but I HC that Credo and Kyrie's family name is Algiere. I know that kinda goes against the Alghieri Dante's Inferno schtick, but when you break the name down, it's composed of elements that mean "noble" and "spear". And you know who had a gigantic spear? Credo Angelo; the one he summons to toss at Nero periodically in his boss fight.
But like. Okay. So the Biancos and the Altos are actually using lances, but I think they're a similar enough weapon type to be able to say that maybe, just maybe, once upon a time, the Bianco's original design was based off something that the Algiere family used to actually own. Some kind of great suit of armour that served as a family heirloom/crest. And since I HC that the Algiere's were also the crème de la crème of nobles on Fortuna, their standing is why Credo—and his father before him—served as the Order's Supreme General. Makes sense then that the Order would then use that particular design of armour to create the Biancos. It would be a comforting image to any Fortuna citizen, wouldn't it? They see that, they think of the Algiere's, and they feel safe.
So when it comes time for Credo to undergo the Ascension Ceremony himself, what he reached for within himself, what lies at the very core of his being, is something that looks like the Biancos. He literally becomes the embodiment of his own family's crest. The purest form of what his family stood for.
That's it that's the post, thanks for coming. 🤣
When I’m bored, I tend to play some Devil May Cry.
So When DMC4 Special Edition was announced, I just had to buy it. I’ve gone through the game with all the characters, but I’m still going through Dante Must Die with Dante and Nero. Since the PS4 can upload videos straight onto Youtube, I decided to give it a shot and upload the fight here.
Please note that this is not a perfect fight, and that I clearly get hit tons of times. I love the game, but I’m by no means perfect, and certainly not even close to the craziness that you can find online. However, I wanted to share this, as it not only shows that you don’t need to be perfect to beat Dante Must Die, but also because I never really post anything I can call my own here.
Also, there’s a trophy for finishing the boss with an SSS stylish rank. It seems hard, but once you know how to fight him, and if you use Nero’s buster attacks right, it should be no sweat. I got it no problem without even trying to when I went through Son of Sparda mode. Anyway, enough talk, let’s get stylish.
