I finally got to draw Bleakfeather again <3
I've been wanting to post some of the Wolfclan recruits' backstories for a while now, so why not now?
Cowpetal was part of a clan far away, somewhere the countryside. While out one day, he was captured by Twolegs, and brought to somewhere with many other cats, all in cages.
There, he met Sierra, who told him that the Twolegs had been capturing cats, to breed kittens to give to other Twolegs. The two cats planned an escape, and when the Twolegs weren't looking, they sprung from their cages, and fled.
Together, Cowpetal and Sierra traveled through the wilderness, trying to find a new home. They sheltered under bushes, hid in old burrows, but never really found a safe place to live. All the while, Sierra realized that she was carrying kits.
When she gave birth, Cowpetal vowed to protect them as if they were his own.
But one night, while Cowpetal was watching the kits, Sierra went out to catch them some food. She chased a squirrel, but didn't see the ravine ahead of her, and fell. The rocks at the bottom broke her fall.
Cowpetal knew something was wrong, and searched for her. He couldn't bear to let the kits see what happened, so he set out that day, desperately searching for somewhere where they could be safe. They were his responsibility now.
He then found Wolfclan, where he and the kits were taken in, and he has lived there ever since.
The art was originally sketched in my physical sketchbook about a few months ago, I just digitized them and colored them. If yall want to see the other cats' backstories, comment down below!
