Hi! I was rereading Dog Days, and just noticed that Jameson keeps threatening to beat people up in a very old-fashioned, gentlemanly way. Please let him hit Actor or Dark. PLEASE. It would just be so funny.

((He does do that a lot, doesn’t he? I think I’ve gotten into the habit of writing him with a bit of a short fuse/ready to throw hands considering I introduced him by having him haul off and punch a nosy/rude reporter. 😅 But Mark and Dark would definitely deserve it if they ever made the mistake of doing some of the stuff they’ve done recently in the same room as JJ. Trying not to spoil what will happen, but since Jameson might not get a chance to do this in story please accept this ‘what if’ for now!))

“Is that it?” Mark smirked, clearly unimpressed as he looked down at the written message he’d been handed before tossing it in the trash. “Maybe next time you can bring along someone who can actually pull off the threatening act. Or at least someone a little more talkative?”

Jameson stiffened, his eyes narrowed, but he would not give the former actor the pleasure of rising to the bait. Instead, he turned to leave, only to pause at the sight of the familiar dog collar lying on the side table.

“Oh, no, that stays here,” Mark said, stopping Jameson’s hand before he could take it. “I like to think of it as a souvenir. Although I keep telling myself I should replace that cheap tag with something a little more personalized. Maybe their name on one side, and on the other something like ‘If found, return to owner—‘“

Mark staggered backwards, his hand to his nose. When he lowered it, a thin line of blood was trickling down, and he stared at his hand and back at Jameson in astonishment.

“Did you really just...?”

Jameson nodded and pocketed the dog collar before he raised his fists again, squaring up with a gesture that the actor would have no trouble interpreting: if he wished to keep something that didn’t belong to him, then Mark had better be ready to fight for it.
