{Alright, since I didn’t really get any kind of response as to if I should, or should not, upload this type, Imma just do it just cause I think it works. It is technically an ‘x reader’ since it’s first-person POV. As I said before, I have been into the Halloween theme recently, and this kinda just...happened haha. Sometimes when I write, my brain just goes~ haha. YES I wrote the songs/poetry, NO the extra character isn’t based on a specific character, but one could insert whatever character they wanted into the slot if they so choose (personally, I think a character like Suga or Hinata (HQ), or the ‘innocent’ type characters fit the best)! I hope you enjoy! PS: I like to hear feedback! It makes me so happy!! Also, I haven’t named this piece, either, because I am a terrible at names haha}

The forest behind my house is magical. The sound of wind blowing through the thick bunches of leaves on chill fall days brings me special satisfaction. I sit for hours in my backyard just listening to the birds sqealing and the crunching of leaves under hidden animals' claws. This day is no different than others, but I get lost in deep thought staring into the void. The shadows play with my eyes and lull me into a sleepy reverie. My mind blanks as the music of the forest coerses my body into movement. Lazily I stand, my legs moving forward as the ruffling of leaves begins to sound like a harmonic verse and the whistling wind between trunks, the accompaniment.

My eyes drowsily stare into the forest I approach, the warm-toned leaves dancing in my vision like flames in the setting sun’s rays. My feet near the edge of the forest and halt. Looking into the seemingly endless stretch of trees into the shadows beyond, I can almost make out the outline of a person. I smile languidly at their playful dancing among the tree limbs. Giggling lightly at how light my head feels, my eyes can only open halfway as I sway to the music flowing to my ears, the words a lovely lullaby sung only for me.

"How beautiful the lonely are,

whose minds can think in peace

What doest thou think of all day long,

While other's minds are full with fleece?"

The voice is light and breezy, it echoes in my ears. My eyes begin to close to the sound of their fluid vocals.

"Wouldst thou care to join me now,

And share with me your thoughts

You whose legs tremble still

Atop the reddened leaf that rots"

The figure draws nearer as I stand motionless. I will my eyes to open wider so that my mind can comprehend what this being looks like, but all I can make out are the veiny, translucent wings jutting from their back and the glossy strands of hair upon their head. Their face is covered over in a shadow but the glint of white teeth appear slightly in the form of a smile. I smile back, and my mind once again is filled with a haze of honey-thick dizziness. My legs begin to relax from their statue-esque state and my left knee bends.

"I wish to escort you now

Where my friends await your stop

Feasting and merriment resound

Upon the sunlit, golden treetop."

The song is sickly sweet, the voice echoes all throughout the wooded grove and my head begins to thump in time to the beat of the crackling branches above.

"Yes my love, follow my voice

To where my feet both sway

I call to you and you alone

To enjoy your last breathing day."

The latest sung words hit my ears and my mind starts to rebel, but it's too late. My body is no longer under my own control as my feet continue their slow procession into the thicker wooded area. The hazy feeling returns to my clearing mind, but it sickens me instead as I taste bile at the back of my tongue. I realize that I am headed towards the fenced off area of the forest, and I silently thank the thick metal for halting my progress. I sigh inwardly in relief, but my relief is short-lived as the metal begins to bend and melt.

"Humans, though they rule most parts,

Cannot control it all

And though they try to save their kin

No one can refuse a fae folk call"

The metal is rendered useless and my feet continue through. I shiver with anticipated doom as I close my eyes.

"Open your eyes my lovely please

I want you to see me true

waiting here with bated breath

Watching for the day I could call to you."

My eyes open, on the being's command and I see feet dangle in my view. My breath catches in my throat as my eyes ascend up until finally landing on the creature's face. Their eyes sparkle, a golden ring encircles their irises as they smile down at me. Their face is mesmerizing and I feel as though I could go blind from looking too long, but I can't turn away nor avert my sight. They reach their fingers out and place them gently on my cheeks. The sensation like dragging dew covered petals across my skin, as they trace my features. All I can do is stare at this being, as my mind screams at me to run. A chuckle escapes their lips and a soft echo of twinkling goes almost unheard, muffled inside it's throat. They swiftly back away from me, their velvety fingers leaving my warm cheeks slightly clammy. They spin around, my eyes barely catching the glimpse of a sinister smirk as they start drifting away from me.

"Under moon beams, within a ring

The toadstools form the gate

I take you thusly to my home

Where my brothers patiently wait."

The winged creature glides ahead as my feet crunch loudly through the thick underbrush. My ankles burn from the tangled thorns and brambles that cut my bare skin. My eyes tear up from the pain, but my feet continue sloppily trudging. After only a few more paces, my eyes squint as light ambushes my pupils. Through my lashes I see that we entered into a clearing where the moonlight is now gracing the tall grass with a misty glimmer. The creature flies up higher above me, a glittering mist puffing in their wake and settles around me. It lightly propels itself forward til it stops in the center of the clearing. My feet awkwardly stumble towards them and I begin to feel stranger. My limbs turn as numb as my mind, and the hazy feeling spreads through my body, only intensifying in the moonlight, until I stand by a ring of shrooms and all feeling is gone from my body. My eyes turn towards the flying creature and a smile spreads across my face, my eyes no longer open all the way, but it doesn't matter. As long as they are with me, I am safe; this being is my master, and I can only follow them.

"Jump, my dear, into the void

Our night has just begun

You'll feast until you can no more

And then I'll have my fun."

Without a thought, I jump into the center of the mushroom ring, and my feet fall through the ground. I laugh as the world falls upside down and turns black around me. The last thing I hear is the twinkling bells hidden behind a mischievous laugh as the light of the moon gets swallowed by the grass above my head.
