oh yeah day 1 and 2 for cr wlw week
Strawberry Crepe nearly choked on air. Time felt as it was standing still as the other cookie gripped their hand.
“Just…stay. For a minute. Please?” Strawberry Cookie whispered. She looked away, not yet meeting their line of sight. Their face felt hot, for reasons they couldn’t even comprehend why.
“A..alright.” They managed, taking a step back.
Strawberry’s hand slipped out of theirs, and for a moment they found themselves wishing she hadn’t let go.
“You know…we do want to be friends with you.” Strawberry admitted. They turned to face her completely, realizing how the other almost towered over them, even if they were the same age. Strawberry Crepe frowned.
“Why?” They tilted their head in honest confusion. Why did the group of heroes want to be friends with them?
“..well, I do.” Strawberry messed with her hood, moving it around as she spoke. “Aren’t you friends with Brave already?”
Strawberry Crepe rolled their eyes, Gingerbrave’s words coming back to them; he had spoken about how they needed to be nicer.
As if.
But Strawberry..
“No. Your brothers annoying.” They said, their tone dry. Strawberry made a face, either of shock, or maybe confusion.
“Brother?” She laughed awkwardly. “What do you mean?”
“Custard said you were siblings, I just assumed it was the truth.” They shrugged. Why was she so easy to talk to?
“We’re not..” She muttered. She had that weird tone that someone did when they weren’t telling the truth. It was probably best not to push it.
The two were quiet for a moment, before Strawberry Crepe broke the silence.
“Why don’t we…go..do something?” They tried. Strawberry smiled.
“Sure!” She clapped her hands together, before her faved flushed red and she tightened her hood. “I mean..yeah, sure.”
Strawberry Crepe smiled at her, and didn’t notice the way her eyes lit up at the simple expression. Her cheeks grew pink as she looked away before they processed anything.
It took them a moment to get there, but seeing as Strawberry Crepe lives in their own home in the kingdom, they had all the room in the world for whatever they were working on the time. It was crowded, yes, but it seemed to be an organized mess. Pieces bunched up in corners all look the same, and they passed a shelf that held tools. Strawberry couldn’t help but marvel at the sight of whatever was sitting in front of her in the storage room.
“It’s a android, or sort of.” Strawberry Crepe looked at it funny. Why were they even showing her this?
The cookie-like machine stood motionless in the middle of the room. It looked almost life-like.
“What do you mean, sort of?”
“It needs a..a model to be worked after, personality-wise. I didn’t want to make it after myself, or Dad, or any of the…” They paused. “..others.”
Strawberry nodded. “So..is that why you brought me here?”
“Well, sort of…” The realization they’d wanted to spend time with her dawned on them. Why, they’d never understand.
“Sort of?”
“I…” Strawberry Crepe found they didn’t like expressing things to people a long time ago. Life was so much easier that way, anyhow. Their reasoning for at least opening up even a minuscule amount to her? No damn clue.
“I just…would like to become..closer, with..you.” They balled their fists and their nails dug into the palms of their hands. This felt weird.
“Oh, alright!” There was no hesitation, no confusion. Their face burned again as they turned away to face the bot.
