DAWN OF A NEW DAY is the debut mini album of girl group CREPUSCULE, released by SMKE on may 16, 2016. the album is available digitally and physically, containing six tracks, in the mirror acting as the title track. they promoted a long dream on music shows for only three weeks, from may 16 to june 5. they had one special stage for the bside in & out, as well as a stage where they did a cover of rough by gfriend.

i mean they didn’t have a lot of hype surrounding their debut bc starmaker was still a pretty nugu company at the time but they managed
THEY DID THEIR MAKEUP THEMSELVES AND DESIGNED SOME OF THEIR STAGE OUTFITS !!!!!! you can tell they really had a hand in everything it all had their lil personal touch :(((
the styling in general was cute as hell they all looked like lil dolls
they self produced the entire album too !!!!!! all that themselves !!!!!!! talented little bbys
they opened personal instagram accounts !!! we got so much content they were updating very regularly
they also opened a youtube channel !!! where they upload mostly behind the scenes content and vlogs ! as well as the occasional cover from one of the members
they uploaded a live version of wont be easy and they looked like they were having so much fun it was so cute fr
we got dance practices for in the mirror, in & out, and only you !!! whew
ohmygod can i talk about the rough cover let’s talk about the rough cover
people loved it so much it started a tradition of them doing at least one cover every era when they can it was so cute
the vlogs were interesting to say the least tho . they constantly made jokes abt their dorm being haunted and even managed to catch a few things on camera
like when yoorim was walking into her bedroom and the door suddenly slammed behind her and when she yelled out for the other members they were all in the living room
no one rlly believed them tho lmao they just thought they were joking around

they got onto two (2) variety shows and they had SO MUCH FUN pls
although they didn’t have much hype for their debut and the only reason people knew smk was bc of chae aka that one solo artists who was outed as a lesbian so yk
in the mirror managed to peak at #11 on itunes tho so !!!! not bad at all for a debut especially under a nugu company they did pretty decent !!!
it was a criminally underrated debut tho and daylights think this is still one of their most underrated eras
but . overall ? 11/10 solid debut
