[7:21:47 PM] Dr. Franken Stein: What if that personality completely over took him and one day, somehow (idk how but just for the sake of story ish ordeal) Vergil actually comes back and runs into Dante, and now that version of Vergil tries to kill the real one thinking him the imposter

[7:22:47 PM] Dr. Franken Stein: AND IMAGINE THAT SPLIT BEING SO DAMN CLOSE THAT IT EVEN COPIES VERGIL'S FIGHTING STYLE TO THE DOT

Stylish Alastor: you know how like 99% of all Dantes have that one headcanon that they couldnt stand looking at mirrors bc Vergil

Stylish Alastor: and they still don't

Stylish Alastor: why isnt there a Dante that appreciates mirrors that much more because its the only way he can imagine Vergil is still there with him

Stylish Alastor: just on the other side of the glass, always there when he needs him, etc etc

Dante: He starts wearing blue and sweeping his hair back sometimes so his reflection matches more accurately.

Stylish Alastor: but he never actually speaks because then he hears "Vergil" talking with the wrong voice and it pulls him out of the experience so he stays quiet

Stylish Alastor: and over time he takes that with him and stops being 100% wisecracks and oneliners even when he's not next to the mirror

Dante: One day he goes on a demon hunt with a blue coat and Lady almost shoots him thinkng it's Vergil and when/if she asks Dante about the blue he either plays it off or ignores the question.

Stylish Alastor: eventually he stops talking to Lady altogether because she's too pushy and Vergil wouldnt approve anyway

Dante: One day Trish walks in on him at the mirror and when she asks he nearly shoots her for breaking him out of the illusion.

Stylish Alastor: you skipped the part where Dante kills Vergil but rather than coping with it he ends up diving even more into the illusion

Stylish Alastor: and Trish tries to get him to see that the real Vergil "left" years ago but she can't stand seeing what she thinks is Dante losing his own identity so she just leaves

Stylish Alastor: and the entire anime was Dante being depressive because in the illusion he kept thinking Trish was Eva and that he "lost Mom again"

Dante: This is making me very sad. ;o;

Seeing Red -- crimsonslayer

          His heart stopped for just a second. He caught a glimpse of silver and red out of the corner of his eye. He found him. He found Dante. The younger man had been searching for a while now, and he finally found him. Seeing the other devil turn a corner, Nero hurried across the street. He just wanted to see Dante again, and talk to him.

          Unfortunately, after turning the corner and catching up to the other, even calling out the name 'Dante', he was disappointed to find out the silver was not hair, but a hat. After receiving a dirty look from the other individual, he murmured an apology.                               "Sorry. Thought you were someone else."

          He let out a soft sigh. He wasn't ready to give up. He'd been looking far too long to give up now. Nero just hoped he wasn't wasting his time on someone who may not even be around town anymore.
