Captain Cringe // In the Wake of My Death (Whispers From the Beyond

In the wake of my death, I heard whispers from the beyond.

Beckoning me like a moth to a flame, I followed.

The deeper I trekked into the void, The louder their voices became--echoing a song of sirens.

In the midst of it all, I heard the voice of God, And this is what He said.

She died, she died. Oh why, couldn’t they have gotten me instead?

My very piss poor attempt at starting a trend that I hope picks up, which is simply called “cringewave”. This weirdo sub-genre of a dream is focused on bizarre and forgotten obscurities; especially that of public access related material from the 1970s to the late 1990s.
