——“Right. Try telling that to Aunt Cass.”
Tadashi gave his eyes a roll as he set his helmet down, and he headed for his bed with a small sigh.
——“You really worried her tonight, you know.”
He glanced at the younger with a look of unamusement. Disappointment was clear in his voice, and he couldn’t help giving him a shake of his head.
A pause.
——“Hiro, when are you going to grow up? You need to stop with these nightly games. I can’t always keep coming to get you in the middle of trouble, you know.”
And then there was a sigh, heavier than the last.
——“You graduate at thirteen and this is what you do with your life? Maybe… Maybe it’s time you— Oh, I don’t know— go to college or something.”
Now, Tadashi had mentioned college various times in situations like this, and he was hoping Hiro would consider the offer instead of blowing it off like he always did.
“Hey, wasn’t my fault the guy was a sore loser.”
Hiro gave an eye roll of his own, setting down his bot as he just heard the words his brother said. It was obvious that he was hardly listening as he plopped down onto his bed. His eyes didn’t meant Tadashi’s until the bed ceased bouncing under his weight. The mention of college again causing one of his brows raise.
“What, and be a giant nerd like you and everyone else at that school of yours? It’s not like they can tell me stuff that I don’t already know.”
Brown eyes fell to his shoes as he kicked them off, handing running through his messy hair in something akin to exasperation. He never did get his brother’s constant pushing. It wasn’t as if he’s be doing anything much better anyway.
