Guys I had my second class with a new professor - we’re studying The Last Days of Socrates, Crito specifically at the moment. It’s a really small class and I don’t think my meds have kicked in yet. I had no filter. I called Crito and Socrates the Johnlock of Ancient Greek philosophy. My professor (woman in her mid fifties) didn’t know what that meant. I then went on to explain canon, headcanons, and fanon to her. Y’all at the end of class she wrote them on the board and we went over the meanings again. I am a menace to society.

so he's in jail and then crito is like "hey socrates, I'm going to get you out of jail"

and socrates is like "no man. As the state gave me the option of choosing exile I am under every obligation to obey the state's laws"

and crito was like "no man, what about your bookmarked doujins? your WIP bruabba fics? what about your 'every time we touch' josuyasu amv??! YOUR GIORNO ROLEPLAY BLOG??"

and he goes, "no, as a resident of fujojoshi city, i must obey their laws, thus be executed bcuz something or other about social contract theory"

So apparently Socrates’ friend’s (Crito’s) son kissed his lover’s (Alcibiades’) son and he scolded him for it. Which is hilariously hypocritical.
