I’ve started a new Thing on Thursdays at my new job; Critterbounding. I pick a character and plan out an outfit inspired by them because It’s Thursday.

Week 1; went the Herr Widogast route with my favorite tweed suit pants and vest, an amber top, and amber crystal earrings.

Week 2; rocked my best Shadowhand in for a night in with his wizard with black trousers, a purple turtleneck sweater, all the silver jewelry in my ears, and a Luxon beacon charm on my permanent bracelet. (The original plan was Mollymauk but it turned out freaking COLD.)

Trying to decide week 3. Might go some Percival because I have the coolest damn navy military-esque jacket…

Critterbounding recap, eight and a half hour finale week edition;

Day 1, Orym of the Air Ashari (green cargo pants, cap sleeves to show off big moon, little moon, boots, and vine earrings)

Day 2, Mollymauk Tealeaf (flowy black skirt-pants, purple tee, Molly camp shirt, tarot earrings)

Day 3, Asha (forest green shirt, oversized brown cardigan, khaki flowy pants, wolf earrings)

Day 4, a tribute to Bell’s Hells (mint green boiler suit for Fearne, round glasses for Imogen, sending stone earrings for Dorian and Orym, black combat boots for Ashton, carved wood necklace for Chet, dark lip for Laudna, and blue jacket for FCG…aaaaand I’m still trying to figure out Braius.)

Week 6 Critterbounding; elderberry flannel with a floral moth print + slim black trousers + black boots + copious silver dangly earrings = cozy Essek

The incomparable Gaby (@gabymariatattoo on the ‘gram) knocked it out of the park again with the third tattoo on my @criticalrole patchwork sleeve, this time with the Sun Tree.

The Sun Tree is such a central part of Exandria, from Pelor’s dedication to Ioun to the early De Rolo ancestors founding Whitestone around its reach, the Briarwoods sapping the life from it and Vox Machina bringing it back to life, to the planting of the Raven Tree in Zephrah. (Also, peep the snowdrops.)

Also, who would’ve thought the person who up until 2021 was PETRIFIED of needles would now have four tattoos with plans for more? Growth, baby. My body is my temple and I’m decorating it.

OH GOD I’M SO BEHIND ON CRITTERBOUNDING POSTS.

Highlights include;

- Week 9; first day back at work for the new year, breaking back out the Ashton ‘fit with the plaid pants, oversized faux leather and canvas vest, and long sleeved shirt (because it was freaking freezing)

- Week 10; cozy Caduceus with the Cad sweater, big legged pants, and a turtleneck

- Week 11; Percycore with knee high boots, a navy military jacket, and little plague doctor/orthax mask earrings

- Week 12; travel edition with Essek inspo, lots of black and flowy because planes

- Week 13; goodbye party at work edition, very Dorian-and-Orym-spend-down-time-with-Orym’s-fam edition with silver sparkly shirt and cerulean overalls

And since this is the last week before the finale, I’m Critterbounding EVERY DANG DAY.

- Day 1; Orym (green cargo pants, cap sleeved top that showed off my own big moon-little moon tattoo, and climbing vine earrings)

- Day 2 (today); Mollymauk (black flowy pants that almost double as a skirt, purple shell, Molly camp shirt, tarot card earrings)

Week 5 Critterbounding Update; Forest green sweater, khaki cargo pants, ankle boots, and slice of pie earrings = cozy Orym.

Week 6 - I’m torn on who to style this amazing moth print flannel I snagged after. Leaning Essek because the base color is dark purple but it could also go Caduceus because of the very floral-leaf motif (gives me tea vibes).

Critterbounding Week 8, ‘Cuz I’m All Rock if You Wanna Roll Edition; red sweatpants, Ashton pocket tee, and a mug of (non-alcoholic) mulled wine.

Crittrbounding update;

Week 3 turned out to be Mollymauk week, mainly because one of my awesome coworkers got a job out of state and a bunch of us wore purple wigs that day to boost her spirits because said coworker has amazing indigo purple hair. You best believe I got a deep purple-burgundy wavy wig and rocked it with my Molly camp shirt and tarot card earrings.

Even though Week 4 was at home because American Holiday, I did wear my Essek t-shirt, an oversized cardigan coat, and had a cat perched on me all day (and yes, most of the time it was Percival Taliesin Nigel Von Kawi Corentin Cedricsbane Cecil Vanderbilt Biltmore Morebilt Cecilder de Rolo the Fourth the Fifth Cat).

Week 5? Am I tempted to go Seth Domande because ya Frag is a librarian by trade? YES. Either that, or go with my favorite halfling fighter because I now have Catha and Ruidus on my arm. One will probs be week 5 and the other week 6.
