Crittertober day 5: Scissor

My favorite critter so far :3

I used the scissor prompt mainly to design the head. At first I was thinking about making some kind of bird, but then I changed it midway to a dragon, with the idea in mind to use the scissor handles as a inspiration for the horns. After a few sketches, I ended up really liking this guy's head and made a body for him :)

I ended up liking him so much that I kept working in this drawing a lot longer than I planned to lol. Later I might make a little scenery for him too, who knows.

Idk, I just really like drawing dragons lol

I'm pretty late to this XD, but I made a prompt list to draw in this October!!

I was doing this mostly for myself, as I've been kinda lost on what to draw lately, but then I decided to share this list :) . I haven't drawn a single thing yet, so feel free to tag along if you feel like it lol

The challenge:

You have to draw a new critter everyday inspired by the word in the list! It can be any type of creature: original, imaginary, mythical, fantastical, from a movie or game you like, etc. It can also be an animal with some magical attributes to it :)

The main objective is to have fun and sketch everyday!!

Crittertober day 1: Fluffy

My first little critter for Crittertober :)

It was kinda fun to make this little guy. What I had in mind was completely different lol. Something more insect like, inspired by silk moths. But then it just changed as soon as I started sketching, and here we are.

I think my first poses for this little guy were a lot better, more expressive and curious looking. But I guess I got lost trying to think about its anatomy and ended up if a more stiff pose. I don't dislike this pose either, it just conveys a completely different character than the previous ones :)

Crittertober day 4: Mask

This one was kinda straightforward. I made a simple mask, as I had just made a detailed skull mask for my previous creature, and then added a little body lol.

I think it ended up been more of a warm-up for the next one, which I really took my time to make, and is my absolute favorite for now ^^

Crittertober day 3: Skeleton ^^

At first I was kinda unsure about what kinda of critter I would make for this prompt. But after sketching a few skulls, I just really wanted to draw a little dragon lol

Crittertober day 2: Guardian :p

I was just having fun sketching, and suddenly I got the idea to mix dogs and lions together for this creature XD. I'm quite happy with her, just a little unsure about the colors. Later I might try other colors :)

And as for what it's guarding, at first, I thought about drawing a little child, but then changed to these little fluffy balls :3
