Damien’s fists were clenched at his sides and he was bristling with barely contained anger. To say he was fuming would have been an understatement. He briskly made his way to the classroom where he had been asked to go after the day was over…for his detention. His face turned even more sour at the thought. He couldn’t believe this. Him! Getting a detention! He had been at this school for 11 years and he had NEVER once gotten detention. He prided himself in being a good student, always attending his classes and doing the work required. He liked getting points for the house cups and hated when the Slytherin lost points because of stupid students who decided it would be funny to be an idiot.
The fact he had to go to detention now was just the result of a very unfortunate situation that he had found himself mixed in even though he hadn’t been the one to do something wrong. And he was very set on righting that wrong. He had to convince the teacher that he wasn’t the one who needed to be in detention. He only hoped that the teacher would listen to his reasoning and let him go right away, without forcing him to do whatever the punishment awaiting him was.
He stopped in front of the door and took a deep breath through his nose, so he could calm down and get some composure back. It wouldn’t do anything good to let his temper run. It would only risk getting him into further trouble and he truly didn’t want that to happen. He knocked on the door three times, taking another deep breath and readjusting his uniform before opening the door and stepping inside, bowing his head at the potions professor. “Mr. Kim, I must talk to you,” he said as soon as the door had closed behind him.
