This is not a drill guys haha unfortunately, I'll be taking my leave from the rp :(. I recently just got into my dream medical school and this time, I want to take studying seriously. I thought about this almost a hundred times because I really enjoyed my stay here and this has been one of the best rp experiences of my yolo layfu. Who knows though, I might bring both my boys back once I get properly adjusted with life haha but for the mean time, I’ll still be sticking around on my rp twitter acct @eskiimochild and hardly on discord (i’m too old for that jk).                                                      One night, a moment too soon

                                          I made my mind up and talked to the moon

The conversation continued as silence deepened. The moon seemed to have found a typical fondness for me. I poured my feelings out like a basin, and it just couldn’t stop. 

I asked the moon.

One. Do you get tired too?

Because no matter how dark the sky is at night, you seem to be up there, with a cold fire that smiles and fills up the empty universe. 

Two. Do you feel sadness too?

Because no matter how cold the air gets, and no matter how separated you are from the people you are watching over-- you’re there, suspended by the vast canvas that flares with a fleeting little smile. 

Three. Have you ever felt hopeless? As if you feel like everything’s falling apart? 

Because I, myself, can’t count myself drowning, over and over again, trying to fight back, but the pressure keeps pushing me back.  To be honest, Mr. Moon, I’m tired of...being myself.

So if you have an answer, i’m ready to listen. 

My friend. 

The moon answered. 

I understand you. Before I was just like you, I had so many questions-- not knowing what I needed to do with my life, why I’m circling around someone else’s world. Do I have a reason? do I have a purpose in life? believe me when I say that even the moon has its own fears.

Do I get tired too?

Yes, but the sky is my friend. And when I feel like I’m about to fall down, the cloud catches me. Because there are those nights where Earth punches me straight into the face.

Do I feel sadness too?

Of course. but my friends are the stars. And they light the dark night up with me, correcting my fault because yes, I make mistakes too. 

I also feel hopeless.

I once, felt like a rock, floating with no purpose. But-- I met the sun. It’s light has turned into my own, and it’s happiness turned into my happiness. Slowly, I became the light of the night. They’re called friends, companions, partners. Surely, I’m not who I am now without them. 

That’s what the moon answered.

And now i understand. 

No matter how still your heart is, you will never be alone.

Despite what most may assume about her, Alma tends to follow most rules in Hogwarts, especially the ones related to curfews and restricted areas. Breaking them just goes against what is her definition of ideal behaviour. But alas exceptions occur.

She had lost track of time, cornered in one of the smallest tables of the three broomsticks, too far from any window to have noticed the sun go down.

It wasn’t the first time she had decided to spend an afternoon drinking by herself. Some days she was the only company she could rely on. When problems piled up and thoughts needed to be dealt it, there was no one in her very short list of confidants that could help with that task. 

Whether Firewhisky had been the best choice or not, it’d be something she’d only figure out once the sun rose. She could really feel the already somewhat familiar burning sensation that came with getting drunk on it, though that was by far the less anoying of the consequences of that beverage. The blind boldness was the tricky one.

The train back to Hogwarts was more or less empty - she had checked it herself, as she wobbled down the hallways of it, peeking into the cabins. What a shame, she thought to herself, she was looking forward to get to pick on someone just to make the ride less boring. Alma had almost given up, flopping down on one of the horribly-patterned seats with a mild pout when she suddenly saw him.

She knew who he was, obviously, but then again, who didn’t. The fourth upper year slytherin with a nice face, as she called him in her head since names were never the thing she remembered about people. 

When he got close enough she immediately got up - an unwise decision since the state of inebriation almost knocked her against the window - and running her fingers through her hair she boldly approached him with the words “Is it too much to ask for,” she paused to quickly regain her balance after a small sway from the train. “Can i put my lips on your skin?” 

It’s cold, the breeze seems nothing close to welcoming the second Cai enters platform nine and three-quarters. A loud thud of his feet makes it’s ground against the cement and he stops to make sure that  to slip his hands into the pockets of his coat. He doesn’t have a luggage, just a bag slung over his shoulders. He doesn’t have much, honestly. 

He greets a few familiar faces, making his way towards his own cabin. He’s alone, always. It’s a thing with the fourth upper years, having the cabin for themselves. And he’s not sure if it’s a good thing, he has always hated isolation, and cold metal walls-- he has and will never outgrow bad memories. 

He peers through the window, watching the scenery change like running pictures. And he smiles, mostly towards himself. So this is fondness, he thinks. He will also never outgrow how magical everything is, literally.

He stands up, moving out of his cabin to look for the candy lady when he finds someone who looks far sweeter. He blinks, not being able to grasp what the other has said at first. She stumbles and he briefly puts an arm around her, supporting her as the train sways. 

Her second phrase takes him off guard, the color of his hair swiftly brimming into a shade of scarlet-- embarrassment, passion. He lifts his arm off of her, gazing at her lips as his heart beats faster than he has realized. But the second he moves his face closer, he smells something-- alcohol. 

“You’re really beautiful, but I prefer you ask me that when you’re sober” he finally answers, he’s just not that guy who messes with drunk girls. “Can you walk properly? you seem drunk” he asks, slowly supporting her again with no ounce of malice. “Let’s get you seated” he says.
