Because I've watched this site stay alive through three buyouts (Yahoo, Verizon, then Wordpress/Automattic) and at least two attempts at replacing it with startups that both failed spectacularly (Writscrib, Cohost), so forgive me if I'm not finding the latest round of layoffs 'worrisome' for this absolute fucking nuclear cockroach of a website.
