Delayed due to an untimely cold: A Quarrel of Feasts has two posts on the way, one my first (half successful) attempt at mastering the Split (Croatia) Torte --Splitska Torta--a nutty, fruity meringue/custard/buttercream mix. My flavor choice to start included golden raisins, dried figs, almond, rum, and orange. Plenty of issues and a lot of lessons learned.
