A little big Midoriya and Todoroki piece!
It's by far the biggest one I've ever done, including meltdowns because of running our of the backround colour and having to change that, and gosh it took long, but the motive is just so adorable, I had to do it!
{You can find the pattern here, and honestly consider checking this creator out, there are just soooo many good patterns!}
TADA! Got gifted a big skein of yarn for Christmas that is a lovely red (Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo in Burgundy) and I was stumped what I could do.... then I remembered I am obsessed with Lucifer and went into a 3 day binge of working only on this. I did the wings pretty much by hand cuz they only appear on top of the door to the judging chamber of Mastermind from Helluva Boss
and this screenshot wasn't getting picked up as nicely through the Stitch Fiddle website unlike the t-shirt with the snake and apple which saved me the trouble of doing that too.
I also had to work around the positioning so the wings would fit on the sides instead of underneath and messing around to fit it all within the 300 cap from the free account on Stitch Fiddle, that's why you'll see it be slightly different from the actual images, but I did it! I still don't know what I want to do, I have got to test what 300 stitches of Super Heart will be :v though my ideas currently are a small throw or shawl with this design or dividing it and making it fit into a cardigan (snake in the back, wings spread around to the front and in the sleeves) :3
Since we now have all 7 seals for the Sins, I also want to mess around and see if I can make a scarf with all of them and include this one in the middle, maybe with the wings being in the end :3
So, life's been difficult, and having a brain that dislikes anything that could help (plus an appointment the next day) doesn't help.
Anyway, on to the main part of this post; you can't see any colour change right?
(Context) We are working on the largest 2d/tapestry and most of us really like it. Also it's one of the few things that currently help with the bad days (which are almost all days). However in the middle of it we ran out of the background colour, and usually this isn't a big thing. We have to wait couple of days maybe a week to get to the shop (or ask our mom to buy us the yarn, which mostly is easier) and we go back to work. Sounds simple.
Why didn't it work this time, you ask? Well, there is no shop currently selling this shade of green (or any shade close to it) and it's not foreseeable when they will do again ^^''
So for weeks our brain was a total ass and didn't let us crochet anything, because we have this project that's still a WIP (yay autism+OCD -.- /s).
End of the story, a super nice caretaker had to endure a really bad FB + breakdown (unrelated) to decide to step in and help, thank you very much, I appreciate it so much <3
(So that's why we have this rapid colour change but meh, in real life it's not even that different because of the yellow and progress is progress)

My first tapestry crochet design, this is a second version
4.5mm hook, medium weight yarn, measures about 11"x10"

(ignore the grey squares in the pic above, theyre all black stitches)
Makin the most aggressively antisocial sweater for my love @immortal-velociraptor ! Pattern for the graphs is from @/crochet_calistta on ig/ko-fi. I always forget to share my art on here but then I remember my animal crossing sweater blowing up lol
What I use to Graph
So I have had a few people ask me how I come up with the designs for my crochet character series. So I figured I would explain a bit :)
I use a website called stitchfiddle, it is a wonderful website where you can make graphs for crochet and knitting and cross stitch too! Once I get there, I clock on crochet, then “crochet with colours” because... that’s what I am doing... Any way, once you chose the size of your grid you then have a colour palette and basically just draw with pixels until it looks right. Then you can save what ever you have drawn!
on the free version of the site you can only have 15 private charts, which is fine by me, as you can just make them public to free up more space! I have never had 15 charts I wanted to keep secret, so I have never paid for the other few bonuses you can get too.
Any way, back to my method, I have a chart saved that is called “head base” and it is basically a round pink blob but it speeds up making the characters (as most of them have you know... faces..) and it means that they all have roughly the same sized head!
I have now designed the first 8 of the characters for this series, so yipee! I am doing ok :)
so yeah, that’s how I am doing it :)
