Wholesome story for you all because hell yeah positivity :>
I attended my very much a small, retirement town's Pride Festival as a vendor selling my crochet stuff. The festival has just started, getting the first people who aren't vendors/volunteer arriving and this older couple walk up to my table. It's the typical "hey how are you? This stuff is really cute" conversation at first, the expect. The woman is looking at all my things while her husband's standing a bit further back just looking at the festival as a whole.
This wonderful lady then sees the small at-AI patch I had made near my end of the table with all the other things I only had one of, and immediately calls her husband over to see it. Like I don't think I can accurately describe how much the two of them loved it. She asked me a little about how it was made/the material etc, before finally the price. I tell her, she turns to her bag to pull out her while saying to her husband "I think we have to get this."
They were talking about what she was going to do with it while she was getting out her wallet. He suggested maybe hanging it from the car mirror, she thought it might look good sewed onto her jacket. I thanked her very much for the purchase, mentioning I was really glad that one sold as I was proud of the work, and it was overall just a very sweet interaction.
Thank you, sweet older couple, it was a fantastic start to what was a very great day.
Oh and here's the patch for those wondering
