Summary: You've been sentenced to life in the deepest pit of Impel Down's hell. You're not a criminal, just a victim to the whims of a people who rule the world with the righteousness of entitled gods. As the cell slams shut, you're locked down there in the dark with a former War Lord.
Just a little premise I have mulling around my brain~ I can't decide what color his text should be. Thoughts?

Your shackles rattle with every trembling step as you follow the Warden through the dark. You’ve gone through every floor of Impel Down and seen enough horror on the way here that your body trembles with the anticipation for whatever torture awaits you. Your chest is tight and your breaths are shallow and all you want to do is run and hide. But, there’s no where to go. As you’ve seen, the whole prison is full of traps and torture and the fear of the punishments you would endure for even trying keep you in line behind him.
It’s warmer here than it was in the last floor, but it’s darker- eerily quiet. Every step deeper into the maze of corridors echoes in isolation. The Warden doesn’t speak to you, just keeps leading you down into the unknown. The blood rushes in your ears and you imagine the walls crumbling, the pressure of the deep dragging you into the abyss. You bring your bound wrists tighter against your body as if you could hide from whatever awaits.
Magellan doesn’t look back at you- he can’t. He has never considered himself easily bothered by anything he’s ever done or seen. Horror is nothing to him and he can’t even remember a time when it was. Even now, he doesn’t feel particularly appalled or a great sense of disturbance at your presence. Rather, what he feels is worse. It’s the deep sense of wrongness you present.
He had not thought much of it when the order came through alerting him of a prisoner’s arrival. A prisoner who came with a very specific set of instructions. That wasn’t unusual, it was routinely ordinary. What he hadn’t expected was the small trembling form a girl. He knew better than to judge a prisoner on appearance, but it barely took a brush of his power to determine your threat level. It was absolute zero.
You have no power. No haki. No physical prowess. Your wide eyes dart terrified and confused and you follow every order with nervous surrender. You aren’t a criminal. Not in the way the other prisoners are. The law you broke was not one that endangered society or menaced order. Your only listed crime was 'defiance', though to an unspecified degree.
When your frail body was stripped for processing, that’s when he understood exactly why you were here. The brand on your shoulder answered every question for him. You had made someone angry. Slighted enough that you were damned to the deepest layer of his hell. And he would ferry you to it as he was bid.
The instructions bid him lock you away on the lowest level- a place he knew you weren’t suited for. A place for the world’s worst to rot. To either die in their cells or await the executioner. For you, it would be the former. A life sentence down here in the dark with war lords and tyrants and murders and worse.
But death alone, in maddening isolation was not enough for whatever dragon you had offended. A particularly cruel clause to the contract of your imprisonment specified that you were not to be alone. You’re to be locked in with another monster, no doubt to suffer the torment the celestial believes you’re entitled to. Of all the torture and death he regularly reigned over, he has never once felt this discomforting scrape to his disputable morality.
The narrow hall opens up and the silence gives way to something far more terrifying- your body freezing as the sound washes over you. For the first time in this descension, your steps falter and you stop moving.
Men. Their voices call to you from the cells lining the endless cavern. Leering and lascivious they yell out to you profane invitations. They gesture in your direction with obscene movements of their hips, laughing as they paw at something they’d kill to use on you.
“Keep walking,” the Warden barks and you stumble forward, keeping your eyes down.
“Hey, Magellan! Bring her over!” “Look here, baby!” “C’mere girl, let me give you something!”
“QUIET.” Magellan’s authority booms through the room, but it hardly deters the onslaught, the men rattling the bars of their cages as you pass them by. “It’s been a long time since they’ve seen a woman,” he tells you.
“Please…” The first word- the first plea- he’s heard fall from your lips. Far too small, far too soft for where you are. But, he gives you no reprieve. He debates briefly melting a few of the louder mouths assailing you, but dismisses it. Not because he has any qualms about doing so, but because he thinks perhaps that will only terrify you more. Which is unusually considerate, if he’s being honest. But, it bothers him. The whole thing. Your very being is disruptive to the order of the world- his in here, and theirs out there.
He leads you further back. There’s less prisoners here, but still more than enough that the taunts have yet to relent. They wouldn’t, mostly likely- maybe never. But on the long walk down to the deepest layer of his domain, he had ran through the entire roster of Sixth Floor prisoners. The demand was that you be locked in with at least one, but it wasn’t specified which. There were none that would offer you any salvation, of that he was sure. But he made his choice carefully.
The Warden finally stops walking, turning towards you. You look up at him, holding your breath. He gestures to the cell you’re now standing in front of. It’s yours, you understand without being told. Magellan holds your gaze as he brings his arm up and you flinch as he beats his fist against the metal bars. “Wake up. You have a new cell mate.”
Your head whips to the side to peer into the dark. The shadows in the cell are thick, but there’s movement as an imposing shape rises. There’s a subtle glow of predatory eyes as it moves forward. “Close enough,” Magellan warns.
The heavy jangle of his keys fill the air, the calls of the men growing distant as the ones who can still see you watch the scene unfold. The click of the lock echoes off the stone. The Warden looks down at you and begins undoing your shackles. The weight of them come away and you soothe the ache in your wrists.
“I, Magellan, Warden of Impel Down,” he slides the cell open, just wide enough for your body and shoves you inside. You stumble forward, whirling back, “sentence you to life without parole.” No part of him believes your imprisonment will extend your natural life. Judge, jury, executioner, god. In here, that is who is he. He has given you what bit of mercy he can. He will give you no more.
The cell slams shut, the sound rattling through your bones and setting your teeth on edge. The Warden holds your gaze for but a moment before turning and walking off, leaving you there to your fate.
There’s a shuffle behind you and you turn back towards the dark, remembering you’re not alone. You back up, but you’ve no where to go. Your breath hitches as the form comes closer, orange eyes glowing like embers in the gloom.
The man towers over you, twice as broad. The bars of your cage press hard into your back as you try to keep the distance between you. But he stalks forward slow with measured steps. There’s a scar across his face and his dark hair falls long and unbound. He large arms come up, one hand grabbing the bars at the side of your head as he cages you in. He bends, bringing his face level with yours and your breaths are shallow in panic as his amber eyes glare hot into yours.
He keeps you there for a moment- pinned by his body and by his stare. Your heart beats so fast you think it will give out. Your anxiety spikes when he speaks, “why are you here?”
You lick your lips nervously, “I…” your voice is hoarse from disuse, “I’ve been s-sentenced to-
“Why?” You stutter at his question, finally finding the strength to look away from him as you try to think of how to explain your crime. He brings his face closer to yours, recapturing your focus. “Did you kill someone?”
Your eyes widen and you shake your head, “no, I’ve never- I couldn’t- I didn’t-“ the words tumble so clumsy from your lips you doubt he will believe them.
He scrutinizes you, picking you apart under those predaceous eyes. After a moment he opens his mouth to speak again, when-
“Hey, Crocodile, turn her around!” “Yeah, let us see her!” More voices call to make their demands of your body. Fewer than there were, but certainly more than you can bear.
The man straightens, his voice thunderous, “ENOUGH,” surprisingly, they quiet. “I don’t want to listen to you bay like a damn dog.”
“What’s wrong, Warlord,” one of them taunts, “it still works, right? C’mon, give us a show.”
The man- Crocodile- slides his gaze down to you and points, “go sit in the corner.” You don’t make him tell you twice and scurry to the far back of the cell. It’s not very big, but the back of it is beyond the reach of light, the dim sconces not penetrating the corner of shadow. You sink to the floor there, bringing your knees to your chest and dropping your head down onto them.
Crocodile sinks to the floor, back against the opposite wall, giving you as much distance as he comfortably can. You’ve folded into yourself, but he doesn’t take his eyes off you. He’s wary, unable to figure out why you’re here- what you must have done. He couldn’t sense anything from you and your pulse- despite how it raced- told him you weren’t lying. You’d never killed anyone. He tried to imagine how that fact could coincide with a life sentence on the lowest floor of hell. He had difficultly imagining anything that was worth the punishment sans death- at least, anything he could see such a frail, terrified girl committing.
He’ll find out. He has nothing but time. At least, until the unspecified day of his promised execution. His neighbors may be intolerable with the presence of a woman, however. They’ve quieted now that they can’t see you so easily, but his brow twitches knowing he’ll have to contend with it. Even if he does make use of you, he’s not debasing himself enough to feed the scraps of it to the mutts.
He doesn’t bother to count the hours anymore, but with the deepening of your breath, he knows its been long enough for you to fall asleep.
You don’t mean to, sleeping is the last thing you want to do given your predicament, too afraid of what could happen when your mind slips from your body. But the exhaustion and the turmoil overtake you and drag you down with no regard for what you want.
You fall into dreams of endless mazes, a great beast snapping it’s jaws at your heels. Orange, firelight eyes baring into yours as its teeth sink into your flesh.
In which you and Crocodile finally patch things up…

It had been a few weeks since y/n had been rescued by Crocodile and his appointed crew members. All of them had been wary of a potential attack from Doflamingo, but he never did show up, to everyone’s satisfaction. The plan Crocodile had worked much better than he originally thought it would’ve. So much so that he felt like he no longer needed the help of Mr. Raizon, who had been the key piece in rescuing his wife. So, two days later they had dropped him off at a summer island, per his request. With that out of the way all that was left for Crocodile was figuring out how to make sure his wife knew just how much he still loved her.
He had made sure that she was given comfortable a room next to his. With closets filled with clothing similar to the ones she wore when they were together along with a few other styles in case it had changed. Her bedroom was just as big as his, with a lavish bathroom, and a king size bed just for her. Crocodile even put in a little bookshelf filled with titles he remembered reading, along with some books he though she might enjoy. They spoke a few times, but it was mostly “good mornings” and “good nights.” When she first got on the shop it seemed like she wanted to talk, but words failed her as she had no idea where to start. Crocodile understood this and let her take as much time as she needed. Crocodile knew Doflamingo had hurt her, he just don’t know how much or wheaten or not you would tell him how much.
Now, Crocodile was in his office going over some plans for his new business idea he was having. It would take some time and money he didn’t have, but he knew that this would work, given time. His tired eyes barely able to read the notes he had written as his mind was blurred with thoughts of his wife. He needed to see her, hear the voice he had grown to love, feel her, and simply be near her. He sighed taking a long drag of this second cigar of the day. He let the tart flavor fill his mouth before exhaling. Suddenly, a soft knock was heard from his office door. His heart beat slightly faster hoping y/n would be the one knocking. Crocodile slicked back his hair and fixed his clothes as he walked to the door; opening it.
“Hey.” Y/n spoke softly looking up into his hazy purple eyes.
“You look ravishing.” Crocodile replied eyeing the outfit she chose to wear.
“Thank you, means a lot coming from you.” She spoke feeling warmer than usual.
“Do come in, would you like anything? I can have the cooks make you anything you desire.” Crocodile spoke warmly gesturing her into his office.
“I’m okay, thank you.” She spoke quietly making her was to the set of plush chairs in Crocodile’s office. As she sat she noticed that the room was very neat just like his office was on Alabasta. It almost seemed like a perfect replica of it even having their wedding photo neatly placed on the shelves behind his desk. The mere sight of it made her heart swell with a slight hope for their future together.
Crocodile made his way to the chairs and sat on the one next to hers. He moved his body so that it was facing hers better and y/n did the same. His legs were open allowing him to be more comfortable while she crossed hers as her foot to slightly graze one of his large legs.
“It’s been awhile.” Crocodile whispered looking at y/n as they both sat in his candle lit office.
“It has.” She whispered back as she instinctively placed a hand on top of his. “Thank you for coming for me.” She said giving him a small smile.
“Of course, you’re my wife. I just regret that it took so long for me to find you. I wasn’t exactly in the position to come for you for quite awhile.” He spoke smiling at the gesture.
“Y/n, you don’t need to worry about your brother anymore. That monster won’t ever come near you again.” Crocodile proclaimed deciding to ease any fears she might of had. He then moved his hand so that it wrapped around hers.
“If he wants to find me he will.” Y/n said relishing the warmth she’d craved for months not realizing how much she missed simply holding his hand.
“No matter what happens, I won’t let him near you.” Crocodile spoke more bluntly sounding assure of his abilities.
“I hope you’re right.” She whispered mostly to herself.
They stared at each other for a while feeling the warmth and comfort of the simple gesture of holding each others hands. It had been so long since either of them had felt such a comfort and neither of them realized how important this simple gesture meant to them. Crocodile only now realized just how much he needed to be near her. To see her face, her body, her smell. He’d known he needed her, he just didn’t realize how much.
“I missed you.” Y/n admitted as slight tears pricking her eyes. “You have no idea what he did to me.” She added feeling anxiety and fear creep up at the horrid memories in her mind.
“I can guess and I’m sorry.” Crocodile spoke through gritted teeth. “I…missed you too.” He whispered. “More than you can ever understand.” He thought giving her a mournful glance.
“I just wish I had been smarter about all of this. I’m far too trusting and I can’t believe I trusted the man who murdered my family.” She cried softly
What she did next shocked Crocodile and this man was not easily shocked. She pulled his massive hand, adorned with gemstone rings, to her face. His knuckles touching her soft skin as he felt a tear land on them. He stared at her with a strange expression on his face. Not one of discomfort for anger, but one of pity.
“I missed your warmth.” She whispered kissing his middle finger before placing his hand back down on the armrest.
“Y/n.” Crocodile trailed off not knowing what he should say in this moment.
“Can you promise me, that I won’t have to see him again?” She asked looking at her husband with terror.
“Just what did he do to you?” Crocodile asked through gritted teeth as he felt his blood boil.
It took her a while to answer as just thinking about Doflamingos face caused her to shake with fear. As she built up the courage to talk to Crocodile, he felt more antsy to know just how much torture Doflamingo would receive should he ever see that horrible man again.
“He… beat me. He’s don’t that everyday for so long.” She finally spoke her tone bitter. “He would leave me bloodied and then use one of his captives to heal me.” She spoke again this time with more fury. “He killed my brother, he killed my father. He tried to kill me.” Y/n spoke in pure rage gritting her teeth as she looked away from her husband who’s face now slightly scared her.
“He will die then.” Crocodile spoke darkly eyes never leaving her.
She turned sharply looking at his now very serious expression. His eyes seemed to darken and his body language looked ready for a fight. Crocodile now had a new goal. One that would ensure that his darling wife would never be hurt again. However, his dark thoughts were interrupted by y/n sudden change in demeanor.
“No, I don’t want you fighting him.” She admitted sinking into the plush chair.
“What!” Crocodile spoke too harshly making her jump and rip her hand from his. He mentally cursed himself for not containing his anger as that was the whole reason she left him in the fist place. “I’m sorry, that anger was not for you.” He apologized opening his hand hoping she would understand what he wanted.
She looked at his hand before deciding to simply keep them folded on her lap. She knew this would be a disappointment to him, but as much as she needed him, she also knew she needed to be smarter about him. Crocodile wasn’t her brother, nor would he ever hurt her as much as her brother had. However, he was still a hardened criminal, a man who’s plans for Alabasta were horrible, and yet she loved him all the same.
“You can’t fight him.” Y/n said trying to calm her racing heart.
“Why is that?” Crocodile spoke in a more well mannered tone still slightly irked that she was denying him.
“I’m not doubting your strength. I’m just so tired of all the horror. I saw you at Marineford, I saw the carnage that unfolded there. I witnessed that poor boy die in his brothers arms. I too was subject to extreme violence.” She proclaimed feeling a strange sense of confidence despite the words she spoke. “I’m just so fucking sick and tired of all of this nonsense.” She added finally looking into those hazy purple eyes she loved so damn much.
“Here” Crocodile whispered handing her his handkerchief that was embroidered with his initials.
Y/n hadn’t even realized she was crying as she stared at him with a wide eyed expression. Crocodile looked almost solemn as he handed her his handkerchief. He then placed his hand on his hook, feeling the cool metal on his fingertips. He stared at her as she carefully wiped her eyes.
“I can’t promise I wont kill him y/n.” Crocodile sighed now looking at their wedding photo in the corner shelf of his office. “But I can…wait for a while.” He suggested his eyes now looking at her.
“I suppose that’s fair.” Y/n said feeling grateful. “Hell, I might even join you on your wild bird hunt when the time comes.” She joked flushing slightly at her comment as she began to smile a little. She perked up a little more when she heard deep laughter.
“Ah, Ah, Ah.” Crocodile laughed deeply. “Glad to see you’re getting to better spirits, my dear.” He spoke reaching into his vest pocket and grabbing a fresh cigar. “You mind?” He asked putting the cigar in his mouth and grabbing his gold lighter.
“You know I don’t.” She replied watching him light his expensive cigar.
“Hmm.” He replied still looking at her. Crocodile was about to speak once more about the biggest elephant in the room, but was interrupted by a loud knock on his office door. “What!” Crocodile spat cringing at his slight burst of anger. He looked at y/n to see if she was scared, but she looked just as pissed as he was. “Good to know we’re on the same page on some things still.” He thought
“Forgive me Sir, but dinner is ready to be served.” A man called out from behind the door.
“We will take Dinner on the deck make sure the men are in the dining hall tonight, Luie.” Crocodile replied
“Wait, Chef Luie?” Y/n asked
“Of course! I know how much you liked his food. Plus he was in trouble with the marines over some stolen goods, so he’s joined our crew.” Crocodile spoke taking a drag from his cigar. “Let’s continue our previous conversation during dinner.” He added standing up from the plush chair.
“Our?” Y/n thought but decided to ask about it later. “Are you planning some kind of date with me?” She asked giving Crocodile a content smile.
“Would it be bad if I was?” Crocodile spoke smoothly taking a deep breath.
“Maybe not.” She whispered.
———
The cool ocean air kissed their faces as the warm light of candles danced through the night. Crocodile and y/n sat across one another with with gourmet plates of food in front of them. An expensive bottle of wine was placed to the left of them as a basket of bread was placed to the right. It was a lavish sight that most people would have considered a luxury. However, for a man like Crocodile, this was everyday dining with the only exception being that his wife was finally seated across from him.
“Is everything to your liking, my dear.” Crocodile asked taking a sip of his wine.
“Yes, I can’t believe you got chef Luie to work for you. Though, you can be quite persuasive.” Y/n spoke taking a bite of her food.
They ate, drank, and had small talk. The looming feelings they needed to discuss seemed to not feel so great as familiarity of of simply eating a meal together seemed to have a relaxing affect on them both. Though, that comfortable feeling left as soon as it came.
“Y/n, why did you leave me.” Crocodile asked suddenly slightly cringing at his own bluntness.
“You know why. Didn’t you read my letter.” Y/n replied taking a big swig of her wine feeling slightly uncomfortable.
“I did, but I need to hear it from your own mouth.” He replied leaning back in his chair
She sighed finishing her wine before she spoke. “I was tired of being second in your life. I was tired of feeling like an accessory of yours. Like my whole purpose was to just stand there and look pretty. I was tired of your outbursts and your harsh words. I mean you forgot our anniversary!” She spoke sounding more angry towards the end. “But most of all I was just tired of feeling like our love didn’t matter anymore.” Y/n said starting at Crocodile with stern face.
“I see, I’ll…fix it. ” He spoke plainly not knowing how to respond.
“Is that all you have to say?” She asked scoffing
“What would you like me to say?” Crocodile asked raising an eyebrow.
“An apology from you would quite literally mean the world.” She spoke her heart breaking for what felt like the millionth time that year.
“You’re right.” Crocodile sighed. Y/n was surprised at this statement as he was the most stubborn man she’d ever met. “I’m sorry. I wasn’t the husband that my vows to you promised. As you probably heard I was taking over Alabasta and needed to ensure my plan was working correctly I-
“Why didn’t you tell me about that.” She spat remembering reading the paper that stated his terrible acts.
“I was just getting to that, my dear.” Crocodile sighed feeling a headache coming on. “I knew if I told you that you’d disapprove.” He spoke greedily admiring the way her eyes sparkled in the candlelight.
“Of course I do! Crocodile, being a pirate is one thing, but taking over an entire country?!” She spoke angrily pouring herself a hearty glass of wine.
“That’s exactly the reaction I was avoiding.” He grumbled watching his wife drink too much. “I needed to take over Alabasta so I could get their ancient weapons.” He added lowering his voice a little looking around making sure no one was around besides them.
“Ancient weapons?” Y/n asked feeling the affects of the wine.
“Yes, I tried getting them from King Cobra so I could kill my enemies become a stronger, more threatening man. I needed to protect you, the business, and fix my own failures.” Crocodile spoke sounding a little embarrassed at the end.
“That’s a huge load of shit, Crocodile. You hurt a lot of people.” She replied crossing her arms with a scowl on her face.
“Think what you want my dear.” He replied casually. “But I did what I needed to in order to keep you safe.” He added sounding slightly bitter.
“If you really wanted me to be safe with you then why did you treat me so horribly? Keeping me safe doesn’t mean hurting others to do so unless they’ve done me some wrong, like my insane brother. ” She spoke feeling her heart breaking at the awful memories.
“I…” crocodile began to say but couldn’t seem to find the answer.
“I’ll tell you why.” She spoke standing from her seat. “Because you were child and a coward. You couldn’t handle the good things right in front of you. It was like you were completely blind to them! You hurt others to justify your own stupidity. I don’t need protection if it mean the blood of innocents being spilled.” She declared looking at her husband with regret before beginning to walk away too overwhelmed with the conversation now.
“That’s right y/n, run away instead of facing your problems head on!” Crocodile snapped as he too stood up too angry to take her words to heart.
“At least I don’t enslave whole countries all for a past embarrassment!” Y/n snapped back Turing to face the 8’3 tall man looming above her.
“You’re lucky I love you so much.” Crocodile spoke lowly still trying his best to mask his anger.
“Love?” She spat, heart breaking even more. “Is it love that made you go against my brother or was it control?” She asked quietly trying to force her tears from coming.
“Can’t it be both?” Crocodile replied after a small pause feeling an uncomfortable emotion washing over him; regret.
“Control over what?” Y/n askes crossing her arms.
“Controlling my image, my dear. If I look weak, then people can take advantage of you or hurt you.” Crocodile replied stepping closer to her giving her a soft stare. “Because of my past weakness and failures as a husband, you left me. Doflamingo took you and hurt you. That is my failure. I failed you in every way and I’m so sorry.” Crocodile spoke as his eyes burned with tears begging to escape. He took his remaining hand up to her face stroked it softly allowing a singe tear to escape his face. “I’ve hurt so many people and part of me does regret it, despite what people think, I’m not completely heartless!” He added breathing deeply
“Crocodile.” She whispered slightly trembling placing her hand on his shocked to see such vulnerability from him.
“I love you.” Crocodile spoke, his voice breaking. “I love you and I can’t stop. The whole reason I broke out of that dammed prison is because I need to see you again, even though I think I knew I deserved to be there.” He declared holding her hand as though he might never touch her again. Y/n stared into his deep steel eyes with sympathy and admiration at his ability to be so open with her. Finally.
“Crocodile.” She whispered, nearly saying it back. She then moved her hand to his heart. His own hand still on hers. “You fought my brother on that battlefield, saved both Portgus D. Ace and Straw Hat Luffy. But you also tried to back get at Whitebeard.” She spoke as her own emotions confused her.
“I did, I owed to it Straw Hat for helping me escape. But I also wanted to show you that I was a different man or at least one capable of being…better. Attacking Whitebeard, was my last sorry attempt at revenge, one I wish I had disregarded. He wasn’t the same man he was when he beat me all those years ago.” He admitted stroking her hand with his thumb as the cool metal of his ring touched her skin.
“You knew I’d be watching.” She smiled stepping closer.
“I guessed, but if you weren’t then I knew that I did the…right thing helping those boys.” He told her stepping closer until they were inches away from each other.
“It was very noble of you. I found the battle heartbreaking, especially considering how it ended. It felt like all of those souls dying meant nothing.” Y/n said, instinctively placing her head on his stomach for comfort. He softly gasped at her sudden affection, but smiled and wrapped both his arms around her smaller frame hoping she wouldn’t break away.
“It was a bloodbath, despite my wanting you to see me, I wish you hadn’t witnessed that carnage.” Crocodile replied soaking in her warmth. “I won’t be forgetting that day for a long time. The navy has always been a corrupt institution, but that went beyond even what I knew them capable of.” He sneered but calmed down as she held him tighter against her as though she’d never feel warm again.
His hand found it’s way into her hair as she wrapped her arms tighter around him. She breathed in his familiar scent and he did the same. The wind was cold around them, but their combined warmth sheltered them from the cold chill of the night. The candles from dinner were slowly dying out as the night sky illuminated their bodies.
Y/n was still so angry for the past and the horrible traumas that she endured. However, in this moment she knew she was safe and the man she so desperately loved and wanted was right in front of her and he had taken time to save her. And not only that, but seemed to be making an effort to make genuine amends.
“Fully forgiving you will take time Crocodile.” She finally spoke against his expensive satin shirt.
“I know, but I promise I will do anything to prove to you that I want you and our marriage.” He replied kissing her softly on top of her head.
“This is a good start.” She said pulling him closer. “But it’s not just going to be like it was before, I’ll de damned if we end up like that again.” She spoke into him sternly. “You’ve also got to give a hell of an apology for what you did to Alabasta.” She added hoping she could convince this man to do the right thing in this instance.
“I wouldn’t dream of pushing you away like that ever again, my love. And I already have something in mind for Alabasta.” Crocodile replied sounding more honest than she’d ever heard from him.
“Good.” She mumbled deeply inhaling his scent. She then yawned alerting the tall man she was holding.
“Tired are we?” He asked looking down at her smaller figure.
“Terribly, I have been for a long time.” She admitted.
“Get some sleep, get the sleep of the dead while you’re at it.” Crocodile spoke, reluctantly breaking his hold of her. She stared at him the wine making her so tired missing the warmth she felt in his arms.
“Goodnight, Crocodile.” She whispered almost reluctantly as she made her way back to her room leaving Sir Crocodile alone on the deck.

Three Weeks Later…
Crocodiles Pov
It was early as the sun has not risen yet. The dewy sea air filled my lungs from the small window in my room as I laid on my bed. Instinctively, I put my left arm out to feel for her, but felt not warmth at my side. Despite, how well my conversation with Y/n went a few weeks ago, I was no where near close enough to have the privilege of having her warmth when I woke up. We have been more comfortable with each other lately. Eating most meals together and talking like we use to after we first go married. It almost feels like I have my life back, the one I desired when I married her all those years ago.
I had her in my arms. It had been far too long and too uncomfortable for me to not have her there. Honestly, I was a little surprised she hugged me, and for so long. I hoped she didn’t catch how hopelessly I needed her, and how much a simple look from her made me want so do anything for her, just to see her smile. A long time ago, I would’ve scoffed at such a reaction. I would’ve considered it a weakness on my part or that of any man. I’ve killed countless men with the same ideas, always whining about how they needed to get back to their wives or lovers. The look in their eyes always pissed me off, and I never took into consideration their feelings. All I wanted was the money they neglected to pay me or the information they had.
It was challenging starting to become a “better” man, a more caring one. It’s not something I’ve ever really tried to do. I’ve always done things for me, my benefit, or my business. I suppose the whole reason I kept my wife around was because I convinced myself she was for my benefit only. Never considering I loved her for who she was and not what gain I could receive from her. Sighing, I finally stood up from my bed and walked to my closet to dress for the day. In corner of my closet I noticed the small velvet box that contained my most treasured possession; my wife’s wedding ring. I took the soft box in my hand and slipped it into my pocket, just in case she ever decided to wear it again.
As soon as I walked onto the deck, mostly to show intimidation to the crew, I was instantly surprised to see my wife already up. She didn’t seem to notice my presence and I made sure not to move a muscle, so I could observe the ethereal sight before me.
She was dressed in a simple but elegant matching f/c shirt and trousers and a white shawl was wrapped around her shoulders. Her hair softly flowing in the breeze as she stood on the side of the ship watching the sunrise. A small smile was on her face and I swore it was the most peaceful I’d ever seen her. The way the mix of colors kissed her skin made her seem like she was painted by some forgotten god. I felt my cheeks warm at the sight of the woman I was still lucky enough to still call my wife despite our differences.
She looked back at me, finally feeling my presence. I gave her a small smile and walked to her. She graced me with one back as I stood next to her smaller figure both of us looking at the sunrise.
“You’re up early.” I noted watching the waves moved against one another.
“Sleep seemed impossible last night.” She sighed wrapping herself with her shawl tightly.
“Here.” I spoke taking off my usual coat and placing it on her shoulders. It pooled at her feet as my coat engulfed her.
“Thank you, it’s oddly cold today.” She replied smiling as she looked even tinier than before.
“We’re close to a winter island. Should be there in a few days.” I replied lighting my cigar
“It’ll be nice to get off the boat for awhile, even if it’s freezing.” Y/n spoke as the sun shone brighter now.
“Would you like to spend the day with me, once we reach the island?” I suggested blowing smoke to my side so I could avoid blowing it at her.
“Are you asking me on another date, Crocodile?” She teased looking at me fully and I noticed she wasn’t wearing any makeup. The tiredness was on her face, but to me, it only made her beauty shine.
“Why not? It’s been awhile since we’ve been out together.” I replied lifting my hand to stroke her cold cheek. I swore I felt it heat it after I did making me smile at her reaction.
“True, though people will see us together. Might even be in the papers if we’re not careful.” She said
“Is that a problem?” I asked blowing out another puff of smoke.
“No, not unless you care about potential navy ships coming our way.” Y/n replied as the sun finally rose completely.
“I don’t, but it’s up to you if you’d like to go. We need to stock up the ship, so there is danger anyway. But you know I’ve never cared about mere navy soldiers.” I spoke hoping to convince her.
“What would we do on our date?” She asked with a beaming smile despite her tiredness.
“That’s a surprise my dear. One of the maids on board will pack your bag for the day if you’d like to go.” I told her hopping my day planned brings her joy.
“Why not!” She proclaimed taking off my heavy coat and handing it back to me making me raise an eyebrow at her.
“I have to get ready, don’t I?” She spoke waking back into the cabin.
“Be ready in an hour!” I called after her.
And with that she was gone and I knew I needed to impress the hell out of my wife.

An Hour Later…
No One’s POV…
They docked at the winter island known as Mount Snowden. Small dots fell casting a light blanket of snow onto the ship. Crocodile was dressed in a lavish winter coat with matching shoes, gloves, and hat. He looked elegant and sophisticated, so much so that even his own crew members were admiring the expensive outfit he adorned. Even Daz Bones seemed impressed, despite years of his boss wearing such fineries. Y/n was dressed similarly wearing a very warm long f/c coat, with matching gloves and black boots that she found tucked away in her closet.
“You look rather lovely, my dear.” Crocodile said offering her his hand as his hair was now lightly covered in snow.
“Thank you!” Y/n replied taking his gloved hand. “So where are we going?” She asked following Crocodile as he began leading them off the ship onto the island.
“Wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you, wouldn’t it?” He teased as they made their way off ten ship.
She hummed in response as they began walking, still holding his hand. As they made their way to the small town near the port she noticed stalls filled with goods and crafts lined up through the town. Her eyes lit up in surprise and a smile graced her features. It had been a long while since she had seen a market or even been around any type of normalcy. Doflamingo kept her locked away for so long and she hated him for it. She hated how easily she went back to him knowing that in the past he had been a horrible brother. Her breath became more intense as memories of him filled her mind. During these last few weeks images of her brother would pop into her mind randomly. The wild look on his face as he came into her “room.” How quickly his fist would become bloody as he beat her for reasons she still didn’t know. It became too much as her breathing became more ragged.
“You alright?” Crocodile spoke, snapping her out of her mind, prominent concern on his scarred face.
“Y-yes.” She lied, not wanting to talk about her terrible memories “Just cold.” She added giving him an uncomfortable smile.
“Do you need to turn back?” Crocodile asked softly
“No, I should be okay, thank you though.” She spoke kissing his gloved hand quickly before letting it go to venture to the market ahead.
Crocodile felt worried as he trailed slowly behind her. Despite her recent feelings, she decided to put them in the back of her mind so that she could enjoy her day. All she wanted was one day without thinking of her brother, or thinking about the murder of her beloved brother. Instead, she walked to the first stall she could and struck up a conversation with the vendor.
“Hello there, dear.” The kind faced woman spoke, giving y/n a smile that warmed her aching mind.
“Hello, can I buy these?” Y/n asked picking a necklace that caught her eye, deciding that it would match at least three of her outfits that were in her closet.
“Of course, that will be ten berries.” The woman spoke, looking behind y/!n.
“Sure thing! Although…” y/n replied realizing that she in fact did not have any money on her.
She turned around only to notice Crocodile was already standing there, wallet already in hand. Y/n gave him a thankful smile as she took the wallet from his gloved hand and gave the woman her money. The seller seemed to be awestruck by Crocodile. Her mouth was opened slightly, as a small blush graced her cheeks. She began shaking, not from the cold, but from the sheer aura of the tall man standing by her.
“Are you gonna take my wife’s money or not?” Crocodile asked gruffly, looking bored.
“Y-yes, my apologies, dear.” She spoke quickly, placing the necklace in a small f/c drawstring bag and giving it to y/n and then taking the money.
“Thank you! And no worries! He’s quite distracting.” Y/n joked taking her husbands hand as they began walking through the rest of the market.
“Why did you buy that?” Crocodile asked taking the wallet that y/n held out to him.
“It was pretty and I need some jewelry in my closet.” She replied plainly admiring the booths filled with similar items she had already bought, along with other goods that caught her eye.
“If you want jewelry I’m more than happy to buy you as much as you want.” He said admiring the content smile on his lovers face.
“I know, but I don’t want our relationship to be filled with just that. Though, I do really appreciate you buying me that necklace. Thank you.” She beamed
“Of course, you’re my wife and it’s my job to make you happy. I’m just sorry that for a long time I failed at that.” He spoke, regret lacing his tone.
“I know, but we’ve been doing much better and so far you’ve shown me that you want to change, and I really appreciate it. We have a long way to go, but I’m just happy to be here with you now. And I know that there is no where else I’d rather be then here with you.” Y/n declared making Crocodile stop in his tracks. He couldn’t speak and had no idea how to respond to such a confession, all he could do was smile. “Let’s keep going.” She suggested, tugging on his hand.
“Yes, as nice as this market is, I’ve got some place in mind to take you. And I think you’re going to love it.” He replied, this time pulling her along the streets through the market.
———
They walked for almost an hour through the town that was much bigger than y/n expected it to be. She was thankful for the walk, especially since she had been on the ship for so long. And because she was with the man she loved. Throughout the near hour long walk, they had talked about various different things. Crocodile talked about a business idea he had in mind, hoping she would give her opinion on the matter. To his happiness, she replied suggesting various different details and ideas, fully showing interest in his idea. And Crocodile listened to her go on about her current interests and hobbies she’d like to try one day, ones Crocodile made sure to remember. Now, they stood beneath a red gate that read "Famous Hot Springs." Y/n smiled brightly as she read the sign. She then turned to her husband and gave him a hug that left him speechless. He hugged her back, feeling a comfortable warmth spread across him.
"Thank you." She whispered into his fur winter coat.
"You're quite welcome. I'm glad you still like these." Crocodile replied awkwardly, looking at a nearby tree as he felt a faint blush creep to his cheeks. "Lets go in, shall we?" He suggested, feeling the warmth leave his body as Y/n let go of his body.
"Sure! I'm guessing everything I need is already here?" She asked giving him a teasing grin.
"Naturally, I am always prepared, especially for you." He boasted as they walked through the red gate.
"Welcome to Hotsun." A woman announced giving them a small bow. "Your rooms are ready for you, Mr. Wani." She added looking Crocodile in his eyes.
"Good." Crocodile spoke with a proud smile.
The woman then led the way to the rooms as Crocodile and Y/n followed suit. Y/n laughed to herself making Crocodile raise an eyebrow in question.
"What's so funny, dear." Crocodile asked as he took a puff of his second cigar of the day.
"You went by Mr. Wani?" She laughed quietly
"Of course." Crocodile replied as though it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Crocodile, you are one of the most recognizable men in the world. I don't think it was necessary to use a fake name." Y/n whsipered loud enough for just Crocodile to hear.
“I just wanted to be careful.” He replied simply
“Careful, huh?” She snorted thinking about all of the times he was “careful.”
“I’m a very cautious man, my darling. As you well know.” He joked back, realizing she was right.
“Your rooms, Sir. Madam.” The woman gestured to the two door in front of us.
“Thank you.” Y/n spoke as she opened the door to the left.
The room was beautiful built. It had dark flooring with an elegant rug placed in the middle of the room. The queen bed was fitted with a plush quilt seemingly made of fur with matching accent pillows on top. There was a small fireplace in the corner of the room, already lit with a crackling fire. The lighting was dim, but still bright enough to see every detail of the room. The aroma was that of wood and some sort of floral scent that y/n couldn’t pick up.
“This is perfect!” Y/n spoke with excitement as she made her way to the bed. To her right she noticed a small f/c suitcase with her name placed on top in gold lettering.
“I’m glad this suit is made to your liking madam.” The woman bowed to y/n, then turning to Crocodile as y/n took in more of the room.
“I will leave you now, please let me or any of the other staff know if you need anything. Your dinner will be served tonight at seven at the private gazebo near the pools. Enjoy your stay.” The woman said politely as she bowed once more.
“Good, are the pools empty?” Crocodile asked.
“Yes sir, as you’ve requested.” She spoke.
Crocodile nodded to the woman and she gave him a quick professional smile before walking back. He then made his way into the room y/n was in and stood a foot away from the bed. He looked like he wanted to start a conversation but was confused on how to start.
“Would you like to swim?” Y/n asked realizing the slight awkwardness.
“Sure, let me get changed.” He replied stepping away but not before y/n spoke once more.
“Why did you get two rooms?” She asked
“I thought you’d be more comfortable this way, considering our arrangements on the ship.” He replied plainly
“I guess I thought you might of been more bold.” She replied slightly cringing at herself.
“Would you like me to be?” Crocodile smirked
“Maybe.” She whispered feeling her cheeks heat.
He walked closer to the bed and then dropped to one knee. He took his hand to her face, placing two of his fingers under her chin. He lifted her face and put his face closer to hers. Her breath hitched and her heart quickened at the boldness she asked for. The two of them hadn’t done more than hugged and held hands. This is the first time in a very long time that anything like this had happened to them.
“Y/n.” Crocodile whispered, eyes darting from her eyes to her lips and then back to her beautiful eyes.
“Crocodile.” She replied doing the same only her eyes wandered to his scar. She took her hand and placed her fingers on it making Crocodile flinch slightly.
He leaned into her touch and in doing so made their noses brush together and their lips mere inches apart. Crocodile inches closer to her as y/n closed her eyes in anticipation only to feel his lips press on her forehead. She opened her eyes only to see that he’d stood up giving her a smirk.
“I’ll see you at the pools, my dear.” He said as he walked to his room leaving y/n mind fuzzy and her heart beating faster than before.

Crocodile’s POV
I left her room feeling frantic, my heart was beating out of my chest. I sat on my own bed and raked my hand through my now too long hair. The way her face looked when I touch her, when I came so close to her. I knew she wanted it, I knew she wanted to kiss me just as much as I did her. But, somehow, I managed to against both of our wishes. I am a selfish man at heart, especially when it comes to her. And yet, I couldn’t be selfish because I knew if I kissed her, I wouldn’t be able to stop kissing her. And right now, I don’t want to start anything she might regret. All it took was one look from her to make me completely submit to her. She has a power over me like no other has ever had. And that’s why I married her.
“Fuck.” I groaned, damming my arousal aching in my pants. I needed her and only her and just that look in her eyes brought me to this.
I phased into sand before reappearing with my clothes now discarded leaving me fully naked. My arousal was throbbing and I knew that it wouldn’t go away unless I did something about it. And I wasn’t just about to ask my wife to help me, not without embarrassing myself or my my fear of making her uncomfortable.
Instead, I took my only and still adorned with my rings and spit in my hand. I then brought it to my sizable length and began pumping it with her face firmly on my mind. I closed my eyes imagining her eyes, her lips, her body, and her voice. My breathing became heavier as my chest rose faster. I quietly moaned her name feeling my body erupt with pleasure. I was close her name coming off my lips like a prayer. Finally, with only last pump and a grit of my teeth, I felt myself come undone.
“Fuck, y/n…y/n.” I moaned out as quietly as I could feeling my body beginning to calm and my arousal finally quenched. I laid there for another moment y/n still on my mind as she had been for so long, before a knock was heard at my door.
“Crocodile!” Y/n yelled outside. “Are you coming?” She added sounding mildly impatient.
“Just did.” I thought to myself
“I’ll be there shortly my dear!” I called back looking at the mess I made.
“Okay, I’ll be in the first pool. Don’t forget your coat.” She scolded as I heard her footsteps walking away from my door.
“That woman will be the absolute death of me.” I chucked as I got ready to meet her.

Your Pov
I sat there in the pools for around ten minutes soaking up the minerals and breathing in the cold island air. This place was so beautiful. The sky was littered with little specks of snow falling down and the ground was blanketed in it too. The only place that was barren was the stone walkway that lead to the pools of various sizes. The pool I sat in was the one closest to my room. It’s warmth contrasted with the bitter cold outside made for a comforting sensation. I didn’t realize how much my muscles aches until I soaked in these waters.
“Seems like your already enjoying yourself.” A deep voice spoke from beside me.
“Oh god!” I yelped looking up in surprise only to see my expected party.
“Didn’t mean to startle you, darling.” He spoke taking off his fur coat exposing his ripped body.
“You brought a coat.” I spoke, happy he listened to me.
“Of course, I only did as you asked.” He replied setting down his coat revealing his black swimtrunks.
I didn’t respond to that as I let myself stare at his very toned body. He was smaller than I remember him being, but I guess that’s from all the time spent in Impel down. He was still wearing his hook and rings and of course had his cigar tucked in the corner of his mouth.
“Y/n.” He spoke trying to get my attention.
“Y-yes.” I stuttered out, finally composing myself.
“How’s the water, is it to your liking?” He asked stepping in the pool. He then sat next to me leaving around a foot of space between us.
“It perfect.” I beamed. “Thank you for being me here.” I added as I turned my body to face him.
“Hmm.” He grunted setting his head back and mimicking the position I was in before he arrived. “You’re wearing your new necklace.” He said softly.
“It’s a beautiful thing.” I replied, touching the necklace pendant.
“You’ve always liked beautiful things my dear, it’s a wonder you married me.” Crocodile joked, sinking further into the hot pool.
“You know why I married you.” I replied softly, daring to scoot a little further to him.
He didn’t respond as the two of us fell into a comfortable silence. While this trip was a surprise, It felt so eerily natural to be here together. It almost felt like being on one of the trips we’d use to take when we first got together. Crocodile liked to really spoil me then. Looking back on it now, I suspect that’s the best way he knew how to show his love for me. He wasn’t a man of sentimental worlds, but used his money and his fame to get what he wanted. I realized now how much I loved it, but wished he would’ve have just spent more time loving me in another way, one more personal. Though, now he was trying and he was being the man that I always wanted him to be. I just hoped that his would last.
Time passed comfortably and somewhere in that time Crocodiles hookless arm made its way around my body and my head was resting on his chest. His steady heart beat was lulling me to sleep and just was I was about to close my eyes, I heard his deep voice speak.
“Y/n, my dear, are you awake.” Crocodile asked shaking my body softly.
“Mmm, yeah.” I groaned as I lifted my head to look in his steel eyes.
“Are you hungry?” He asked
“I could eat.” I smiled, as I noticed he leaned closer.
“Let’s get out then.” He spoke leaning closer now.
“Sure.” I whispered as my lips ghosted his. His eyes were searching mine and it felt like he was looking for an answer to a question. I only hoped I could answer it.
I pressed forward putting my lips softly on his. I lingered there closing my eyes hoping to feel him press back. Only, I felt nothing. He was stiff was a board and so I pulled away with bubbling embarrassment. I didn’t look at him, I felt shame regret for being so bold. I thought that he would want to kiss me after what happened earlier in my room.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered still not looking at him.
“Why on earth would you be sorry?” He bit back back grabbing my chin like he did earlier. Only this time, he kissed me, hard.
The embarrassment I felt left me immediately as I grabbed the back of his head and pushed him closer to me, pressing my lips on his just as hard. He picked up my body and set me on his. Because of our height difference I had to nearly stand to kiss him, despite him sitting. I pulled on his raven hair and felt him groan in my mouth. His arms wrapped around me, holding me close as thigh he’d never met me go, not that I wanted him to.
“Um…excuse.” A voice called. “E-excuse me?” They called out again causing me to stop to see who just interrupted us.
“What!” Crocodile snapped
“F-forgive me sir and madam, but your dinner is ready.” The man spoke, very obviously nervous.
“Thank you, we will be there shorty.” I replied softly, feeling slightly awkward in my current position.
“Of course.” He bowed and then walked away.
“I’ll…go get ready.” I spoke, as I got off Crocodiles larger body.
“I’ll meet you there.” He replied as I noticed a rather large tent in his pants. My breath hitched and I swallowed thickly, feeling my own arousal aching.
“Yeah, I’ll see you.” I replied, getting out of the pool and waking very quickly back to my room, my cheeks feeling very, very hot.

No one’s pov
After Y/n and Crocodiles sudden burst of passion, there was this strange awkward feeling in the air. They both hurriedly dressed for their shared dinner in the heated gazebo. Crocodile was the first to arrive inspecting the food and china, making sure it was up to his standards. When he felt it was perfect, he sat down and waited for y/n. He felt better than he had in months and it all started as soon as his wife kissed him. She made the first real move, she wanted him. And now Crocodile felt as though he had finally won her back.
“I’m sorry, I know I’m late!” The woman in question called out as she stepped into the gazebo.
“My don’t you look ravishing, my dear.” Crocodile complimented as he admired her and the f/c dress she wore.
“Thank you.” She replied slightly breathless as she took him in as well. He wore a black suit with a black undershirt. He wore no tie, and his shirt was unbuttoned , slightly teasing his chest. His golden hook back in its place. She felt herself warm at the sight of him. “You look quite handsome too.” She spoke as she sat down in the chair across from him.
The two of them ate, drank, and had conversations that felt lighter than before. Despite the passion from earlier, the awkwardness they had both felt was cracking away. The sun was beginning to set as they took their last bite of the night.
“Goodness, that was amazing.” Y/n sighed as she leaned back in her chair slightly. “I should’ve worn a bigger dress.” She joked taking a small sip of wine to wash the remaining food down.
“I’m glad this was to your satisfaction.” Crocodile replied feeling full himself.
“This whole day was so lovely, thank you.” Y/n yawned.
“Tired are we?” He asked mimicking her prior action.
“Yes, that spring took it out of me. How long are we staying on this island?” She asked as she felt her eyes grow heavier.
“I planned on staying here three days, we could stay longer if you’d like.” He offered giving her a soft glance.
“Maybe, I would love to visit the market again.” Y/n sighed
“Let’s go to bed, shall we?” Crocodile asked as he stood from his chair and offered her is hand.
“Yes.” She replied taking his warm hand
———
“Goodnight, and thank you for today.” Y/n said as she stood in the doorway to her bedroom.
“Goodnight, y/n.” He whispered back. He paused for a moment, staring at her beauty. Prior actions from today left him feeling a confidence he hadn’t had in a long time. “What me to stay tonight?” He asked, his heart beating fast.
She craned her head to look at him. He looked almost like he was begging, and his man never did. She had never seen this proud man look so desperate, so hopeful as he stared at her awaiting the answer. His eyes swirled with love and adoration too, as the realization that his wife was at last, finally in front of him and not some memory that he could only wish would come true. She was his truth, his salvation, and he has been such a foolish and proud man not to realize how much he needed her and desperately loved her. And desperately hoped that he could kiss her again, just like he did in those springs.
“Please.” He softly cried out cringing at himself for sounding so desperate, his confidence breaking.
“I just…don’t want to move too fast.” She replied, contradicting her past actions as her heart ached at the sight of him.
“I understand, I…apologize” He said as he began to walk to his own room next door.
“Wait…” she cried out. The words she so desperately wanting to say but couldn’t find the words to. “Goodnight.” She whispered, as Crocodile gave her one last longing glance before disappearing into his own room.
Your Pov
I shouldn’t have kissed him, it was in the heat of the moment and I blame those dammed springs. Clearly, my head wasn’t on straight. I sighed and threw myself onto the plush bed, flipping on it dramatically. I groaned into the mattress still angry with myself for not controlling myself with him. Everything’s been going so perfectly. He’s been perfect and I can fully see that he’s putting our marriage first. Though, a part of me is still unsure how long this will last and that feeling has been nagging at me for far too long. All I want is to move forward with everything, to have my life, my husband, and my sanity back. But all of those things were taken from me and I feel like I haven’t had time to fully piece myself back together. My brother haunts me, and even though this day was perfect, I still couldn’t get his filthy face out of my mind and it nearly cost the day. I’m terrified that if Crocodile knew the extent of how deep my fear goes, that he will never want me again. That the wife he tried so hard to get back is not the same woman he married. He promised that I’d never seen brother again, but how can he keep that promise when he plagues my dreams. I was too tired and too emotionally spent to think anymore, and so without any regard for the clothes I was wearing, I fell asleep.
The room was dark and brutally cold as I lay there frozen from the pain he had inflicted on me.
“This is for your own good, my sweet sister.” Doflamingo sneered
I tried desperately to reply, to scream at him to stop, that I would be his obedient sister, if he only fucking stopped. But my voice never came, only the crackling remnants of it came out as my throat was already raw from screaming.
I pushed myself further against the cold wall, desperately trying to gain any kind of space from him. The red of his glasses illuminated in the dark space making my panic increase. Tears poured down my swollen cheeks making them sting.
His fist came at me like a flash and I had no choice but to try and dodge, only to fail miserably. Intense waves of pain shot through me from my stomach and finally my voice called out.
“Stop!” I cried out in desperation
“Stop what? You deserve this, take your punishment like a good girl. Prove to me that you won’t betray me like our dear dead brother.” Doflamingo screamed hitting me angina and again and again.
“Stop” I pleaded in a chocked sob
Suddenly, I feel a strong hand shaking my body. I shot up thrashing, desperately trying to push this thing off of me. Instead of pushing it off me, I felt my face land on something soft, warm, and familiar. I heard shushing and a thunderous heartbeat that started calming me. As well as a nearby light illuminating my once too dark room.
“My love, you’re alright. Your dreams can’t hurt you now.” Crocodile spoke in a voice I’d heard only once before.
“But he… he was here. He was here.” I whispered, holding onto my husband.
“He’s not here, I can promise you. You will never see him again. I’d kill him before that ever happened.” He said as though it was a fact. “Now, I need you to breathe for me.” He added taking his hand and stroking my hair.
I did just that, taking slow and shaky breaths I felt my heart beat slow. His warmth and the sound of his heart pounding lulled me back to myself. Back to the reality that I was safe, I was free of that man, free of that life, free of the woman I was.
“There we go.” He whispered
“Why did you come?” I finally managed to ask.
“Heard you scream and the wall dividing us is paper thin.” He replied.
“That’s not what I asked.” I replied as I hugged his body closer to mine.
“Hmm.” He hummed, kissing the top of my head. “I thought you might… need me.” He added after a moment.
“I’m glad you’re here.” I whispered taking a deep breath. “I need you.” I cried feeling my heart ache.
“Look at me.” He asked
“I lifted my head to do as he asked. And instead of looking in his eyes, I felt his lips on mine.
My eyes widened at the sudden pressure, but melted into the kiss. It was the softest he’d ever kissed me or held me. As much as I appreciate his gentleness, I knew I needed more. So, I deepened it and pushed my tongue in his mouth. He grunted at this as his danced with mine.
“I love you.” I spoke against his mouth as I tugged on his raven hair.
He pulled away and looked at me like I had just said the most unbelievable thing. His lips were swollen and his pupils were dilated. His right hand made its way to my face. I smiled contentedly and leaned into his touch. He kissed my forehead softly before placing his forehead on mine, kissing my nose. We stayed like this for a moment just breathing each other in.
“I love you too. I don’t think you realize how long I’ve been waiting for you to say that.” He said
“I’ve been meaning to, I was just…scared.” I said giving him a quick kiss.
“I understand that. I was an…unsavory husband.” Crocodile spoke, pulling me back on his shirtless chest.
“You’ve changed. I was so skeptical about considering who you are. But you have changed and I just want this to last.” I whispered feeling my eyes begin to water.
“It will I spent too much time away from you and I never want that to happen again. You’re my greatest weakness but somehow I’m stronger when you’re near.” He confessed as I heard his heart beat faster.
“I love you. I love you. I love you.” I whispered
I kissed his chest softly, slowly, making sure to relish in the feel of him against my lips. I heard Crocodile sigh as I made my way up towards his neck. I then kissed it and then nipped at it. He grunted as I continued to kiss and bite him.
“You’re going to be the ruin of me.” He groaned
“Good.” I replied
As I was mid kiss I felt my back lay softly into the mattress and my husbands body hovering over mine. I moaned at the sudden sensation as he mimicked my earlier actions. He kissed me everywhere he could, and I could tell he was taking his time with me. He kissed in between my breast making me shudder as he made his way to my stomach, and then my thighs.
“Tell me to stop.” He spoke sounding like he couldn’t believe he’d said that.
“Don’t. Please I need you. I’ve needed you for so long.” I whined as I nicked my hips as he kissed my clothed pussy.
“Good. Now I need to get this off.” He said speaking about my pj bottoms. I lifted my hips, but his hand had already ripped this off my body. I gasped and looked at him with wide eyes.
“I liked those!” I cried out
“I’ll get you more. I’ll get you some in every fucking color if you want.” He groaned
He then latched himself on my aching core. I gripped his hair as I softly rocked myself on his mouth. One of his large fingers entered me and I cried out his name at the feeling. The overwhelm sensation of his tongue and his finger pushed me over the edge faster than I expected it to. I threw my head back as my orgasm shot throughout my body. My legs squeezed around his head and I almost thought I was suffocating him.
“That’s my girl.” He complimented kissing my pussy once more.
He then lifted off me as I was still panting, still coming down from my intense high. Crocodile smiled wickedly as he crashed his lips hard onto mine. I tasted myself slightly on his lips and moaned onto his mouth. He abruptly stopped and lifted off of me and that’s when I saw how excited he was and how beautiful. His body was huge and before I could admire it further, he pulled his own pants down and allowed his aching cock to spring free from them. My mouth watered at the sight of his cock and remembered how good it use to make me feel. My arousal was all consuming and I felt like I needed him more than anything. I reached for him but as soon as I tried he already grabbed me and flipped me on top of him. I gasped as I felt his hard length between my legs. I then began rubbing my pussy up and down.
“Fuck.” I cried out as his cock touched my sensitive clit.
He grabbed my right hip and guided my body as he began to move his hips with mine. That wicked smile was still plastered on his face.
“It’s been a long time my dear, still think you can take me?” He teased moving me faster against him.
I responded by lifting my hips up and aligned his took big cock in my pussy. Slowly, I inched it up inside of me, clenching my teeth at the pain and pleasure. I cried out at I made it a little more than halfway down. Crocodile grunted still holding my hip as he helped me slowly take him fully. The feeling of him inside me was familiar, but nearly too intense. I shook on him and my pussy clenched hard on him.
“There we are. You did so good. Such a perfect wife.” He cooed lifting my shirt. “Let’s take this off shall we?” He asked as I lifted my night shirt of my shaky body.
“F-fuck. Gods I nearly forgot how big you were.” I moaned out placing my hand on his chest.
“Take your time my love. We have all night.” He reassured as he pushed my hair back from my face making my face feel incredibly hot.
After a few moments of letting myself get use to him, I began to move. It was slow and I could tell it was too slow for Crocodile, but he didn’t say anything. I moved up and down his length, shutting my eyes and the incredible pleasure. I panted and moaned his name and he did the same. Once I felt more comfortable, I moved faster letting myself get lost in the feeling of him.
“Crocodile!” I cried out gripping onto his chest as my legs shook.
“I’ve got you my love, I’ve got you.” He moaned out as he began to buck his hips into me.
Time seemed to stop as we melted together. Our bodies felt as though they were fusing together in a rhythm only we knew. Crocodile pulled out of me making me whine as he then pushed me onto my stomach. I felt his tip brush against me as he plunged himself inside of me once more. We both cried out, though mine were muffled my the pillow. He starred slow just like I did before. Only he didn’t part as long before he began moving at a faster pace than I had gone. It was too much but I didn’t want him to stop. I wanted more, I wanted him deeper still knowing when I woke up the next day I wouldn’t be able to move.
“Please.” I whined out even though it came out strangled.
“Such a sweet thing just for me. Want me to come inside of you my dear. He asked still fucking me in a ruthless pace.
“Y-yes!” I moaned gripping the sheets in anticipation not caring about the repercussions of it.
He then stopped, cock fully inside me as I felt him spill everything he had to offer. A blanket of warmth spread inside of me. He moaned my name like a prayer as I saw him throw his head back. Once he was done, he slowly pulled out of my sore pussy.
“Let’s get you cleaned up.” He suggested, but I was already passed out from exhaustion.
———
The next morning I awoke sore, but felt lighter than I had in months. I was naked but the cold I expected to feel wasn’t there. Instead a large hookless harm rested around my body and my back was nestled into my husbands chest. I slowly turned around to look at him, hoping I wouldn’t wake him up. But to my surprise, he was awake and smiling at me.
“Good morning.” I whispered as I touched his face.
“Morning,” he replied in a deeper voice than usual.
I leaned in for a kiss and received one so sweet it felt as though my mouth was full of sugar.
“Sorry I passed out last night.” I spoke as I stared into his comforting steel eyes.
“S’fine. I had to clean you up though, so you missed my chivalry.” He smirked as I rolled my eyes.
“We’ll thank you. That explains why I don’t feel so gross.” I commend, kissing his nose.
“You don’t regret it do you?” Crocodile asked, evident worry on his tired face.
“No, it was bound to happen sometime.” I replied feeling saddened by his question.
“Good.” He hummed pulling me close to him. “I need to ask you something and I need you to give me your honest answer.” He stared. I simply nodded into his chest. “Would you marry me again?” He asked sounding slightly nervous.
My eyes grew wide at the question and I looked up at him, though he eyes didn’t meet my gaze. I hadn’t considered something like that at all nor had my mind seemed to question the whereabouts of my wedding ring. Though, as much as I would like to know where it was, I needed to answer him.
“Yes, but only as long as you never go back to being the man I had to leave.” I replied sternly as I forced him to look into my e/c eyes.
“I’d rather die.” He spoke truthfully making my smile reach my eyes.
“Good. Say, do you know where my ring is?” I asked hopefully not sounding too desperate.
“In my coat pocket. I brought it just in case.” Crocodile spoke plainly.
“Of course you did.” I laughed feeling relieved that things were finally where they should have been all along. “You have my heart, I hope you know that.” I spoke honestly
“And you have mine, forever.” Crocodile replied and I knew he meant it.

In which you and your husband,Crocodile, get into an argument and it spirals out of control.
Heavy angst, hurt with no comfort, usage of bitch, Set a little before Alabasta.
This is a completed mini series with 5 total parts!💜
You were so tired of being put last. Nearly a decade spent with this man. All of the work you put into this relationship. All of the broken promises. All of the times he was late or completely forgot about your plans together. Normally you’re a very patient woman and had always been sympathetic of your husbands time. But not today. Too many damn anniversaries missed and you were now fed up. You decided to confront your husband on his bullshit and demand a solid reason for being late to your own anniversary dinner that you had spent hours perfecting.
You walked straight into his office that was located in the basement of your shared casino. You didn’t bother knocking as whatever he was doing was no where near as important as him missing your anniversary dinner. His head shot up at the sound of someone barging in. Crocodile gave confused and angry look before softening it ever so slightly at the sight of you. He sighed looking at you as you’d told before him. He could tell that whatever you were mad about was completely his fault.
“Yes my dear?” He asked giving very little of his attention as he continued writing on his documents.
“You know why I’m here.” You spat crossing your arms.
“What is it now?” He sighed
“Don’t you know what day it is?” You questioned harshly tired of his forgetfulness.
“No idea, but I’m very busy right now, I’ll deal with you later.” Crocodile bit back now giving you attention.
“It’s our fucking anniversary!” You yelled as frustrated tears rolled down your cheeks. You stated at each other for a moment as tensions rose.
“I’ll make it up to you later. Right now I’m in the middle of something important. You can damn well wait.” He snapped slamming his hand down.
“Am I really not that important to you?” You cried as your body trembled.
“No, you’re not! Now I’ll deal with you later!” He yelled
“No fuck that, why am I not important to you? After all I’ve done. I love you why can’t you ever prioritize me!” You exclaimed balling your fists to your sides.
“Maybe if you weren’t such a nagging bitch, maybe I would. Now leave I have more important things to do then bitch with you. Get out!” He furiously yelled standing up out of his chair as he gave you a look of pure hatred.
You stood there trembling in fear as your tears stopped as your hands were now shaking. Crocodile noticed the look of fear in your eyes but was too mad at you to even care. You couldn’t move, however, a hand touched your shoulder. You moved with it still too stunned to react as it led you out of your husbands office and into the long carpeted hallway and then into the Casino that was owned by both you and your husband. Soon enough, you were outside and now were alone as the figure left you alone in the dark
You looked out into the pitch black sky as you came back to your senses. A furious son left your body as you sunk to your knees. You cried and cried until your body felt numb and your eyes felt raw from the salty tears that left them. You then hugged your now cold body as your rocked yourself trying to give yourself some comfort. After a few more moments, you slowly picked yourself up off the ground and walked to the shared home that you and crocodile lived in together that was about a five minute walk from the Casino.
There you grabbed the first suitcase that you could get your hands on and filled it with as much of your personal belongings as you could fit not caring too much about your fancy clothes and trinkets. Once you were done, you took a good look at the outfit that you were still wearing and promptly took it off and replaced it with more comfortable clothes.
You had no pleads of what to do but you knew you needed to leave. Too long had Crocodile forgotten about your needs. Too long had he put you last. Too long have you stayed with someone that didn’t love you the way you loved them. Too long had you given him everything while he gave you nothing. You were done and tired of his half assed apologies and broken promises. So, you made a phone call to the harbor. The transponder snail ring for a while and you were scared that because of the hour, they wouldn’t pick up.
“Yes, hello miss how may I help you?” The transponder snail finally spoke.
“Yes, hi, I’d like to book at ticket to the first ship that will go to Dressrosa.
“Dressrosa? Well you’ll have to take multiple ships to go there but we can get you on a ship that will take you to the next available island that has a ship that goes there. Is that alright?” The teller spoke
“Yes that should be fine.” You spoke doing your best to sound normal as your voice was still sore from crying. “When is the first available ship?” You asked
“At 6 in the morning.” They responded
“I’ll take it.” You replied quickly.
“Alrighty, I’ll see you then. I’d like to let you know that it’s firsts come first serve here so be sure to arrive early to get a good seat.” They told you kindly.
“Thank you, have a good night.” You said
“I will, you too miss.” They responded
And with that you hung up the transponder snail. You signed hanging you head before standing up straight and focusing on the task at hand. You decided to go into the shared safe that you and your husband had in your room and put as much cash as you could in your suitcase and one of the purses that you decided to take. It was a lot and you just hopped that you wouldn’t be robbed as that money would help you with the next step in your life. You then grabbed a piece of paper from your side table drawer and a blue inked pen and wrote a small good bye letter to Crocodile.
My dear husband,
You might not care about any of this but I need to let you know my feelings.
I love you and even as I write this letter I love you. And despite my burning love for you, I cannot stay in this loveless marriage any longer. You have proven time and time again that I am not an important aspect of your life and I’d rather leave than be a hindrance to you or the empire you are trying to build.
With all my love,
Y/n L/n
Once you were done and with your suitcase in hand you walked all the way to the harbor. When you arrived you promptly purchased a ticket not caring about where you sat. As you walked onto the boat, you looked back at the vast desert that you once called home smiling bitterly at the events of last night.
“The ship is now departing. I repeat the ship is now departing.” A voice called out
“Goodbye my darling.” You whispered into the wind as the ship left the harbor.
Meanwhile…
“Where the hell is she!” Crocodile yelled in a furious rage as he walked into your shared bedroom some of the maids were cleaning.
“Sorry sir, we were asleep when the mistress came in.” One of the maids spoke meekly as she was scared of Crocodile.
“Daz, find her!” Crocodile barked
“Yes sir.” Daz Bones responded as he immediately left to find you.
Crocodile was furious, confused, and guilty. He knew he fucked up. He was so stressed about all of the work that had to be done and the news about a bunch of rookie pirates finding out his identity that he snapped and completely disregarded your anniversary. His mind was scrambled and his heart was aching for his sweet wife who now is nowhere to be seen.
“Umm… Sir.” Another maid spoke quietly
“What!” He snapped looking at her with pure fury.
“Sorry sir but we found this on the side table.” She spoke quickly handing him your letter.
He read it silently as he took in each word and sentence that you had written out just for him to read. His heart broke but the sudden realization of how much of a shitty husband dawned on him. And unfortunately for him, too late. Now you were gone, his sweet wife, his love.
“I’ll find you y/n.” He whispered before waking out of your shared bedroom determined to find you no matter the cost.
Thank you so much for reading!💜

Sir Crocodile x fem!reader, Doflamingo x sister!reader
Angst, mentions of violence, fluff, and mentions of death.
In which you see your husband for the first time in months and it happens in an unexpected way. And you come to a realization that your brother isn’t who you thought he was.
I don’t remember everything that happened at Marine ford and I added some things to that story. Sorry this part has taken so long.
"Crocodile." You whispered my eyes wide with shock
There he stood, in all of his 8'3 glory; scowl and all. Doffy was there too adorning his annoyingly smug smile. There stood these powerful men amongst a field of dead, wounded, and fighting soldiers. It was a sight to behold for anyone watching, except for you. As all you could see was how injured Crocodile was. It made your heart ache to see him like that and for a moment you forgot your anger for him. You felt your heart soften at the sight of him.
Your brother and Crocodile seemed like they were engaged in something serious. Based on the look on Crocodiles face, he was pissed.
“What the hell could they be talking about?” You wondered to yourself eyes glued to the screen.
Crocodiles pov
This damn pink feathered bastard, why the hell did she have to be his sister. My frustration was immense and all I wanted right now was to kill whitebeard and get the hell out of this dammed war. However, his comment struck me hard and I knew once all this hell was done that I needed to find y/n and convince my wife to forgive me.
“You’re thinking of ways to make her forgive you aren’t you gator boy!” Doflamingo teased making me furious.
“Shut the hell up!” I yelled turning away from the fool
“You gotta know that no matter what you try, I won’t let you near my dear sweet sister.” He said making me stop dead in my tracks.
“Are you challenging me?” I asked coldly my back still turned
“Maybe I am! Haha! Y/n doesn’t want you why would you try so hard to win her back?” Doflamingo barked
“That my business.” I said quietly finally walking away from the conversation
Part of me is glad I walked away as I knew that fight would take up too much of my time. But another part of me wants to kill him, but considering my wife might be watching, I didn’t want to take that chance. Looking around this battlefield was hell. Everyone was killing each other left and right all to safe that Ace brat. It seemed too excessive for me personally, but I’m just glad that so many dammed marines are dying. The less there are of them the better.
Suddenly, I spotted the stupid clown,Buggy, seemingly making a fool of himself on what looked like a video transponder snail. A bright idea came to me as I walked quickly to them. The prisoners surrounding the red nose idiot all seemed scared, which gave me the confidence to do the thing I set out to do.
“Point that snail at me, if you don’t I’ll kill you.” I threatened pointing at him.
“Y-yes s-s-sir.” The fool stuttered.
“Hey you can’t do that to captain Buggy!” A few of the prisoners wined.
“Yeah, get out of her Crocodile!” Buggy proudly said making me glare at him.
“Or y-you can have it!” He said cowering with a goofy smile on his face.
The snail was pointed at me finally allowing me to say what I needed to say. I took a deep breath still trying to look as intimidating as possible. I did have a reputation to uphold after all.
Your pov
“The hell!” I exclaimed as the video transponder snail suddenly stopped showing the action. “Who’s that dumbass.” I questioned looking at the ugly man now on the screen.
He had a red nose and was wearing a marine uniform but called himself Captain Buggy. I swore I’ve heard that title before but couldn’t figure out where. However, the camera was now on him as the action was heard around him.
“Hello there I’m the famous Captain Buggy!” He exclaimed clearly full of himself.
“Yay, Captain Buggy.” The prisoners around him yelled.
“Point that snail at me, if you don’t I’ll kill you.” A familiar deep voice called out. With some protest the camera was finally pointed elsewhere.
“Crocodile.” I whispered moving closer to the screen. “What the hell are you doing?”
“G-go ahead Mr. Crocodile sir!” The camera man shakily spoke.
“I’m not sure if you’re watching this or not, but I promise that no matter what you’ll see what kind of man I am.” Crocodile spoke seriously. He seemed to pause for a moment before speaking once more. “After that, I’ll come for you…if you still want me.” He spoke saying the last line so quietly that I almost missed it. “Now, you idiots better make sure that the camera is on the action or else.” He threatened. And with that he turned into sand and was gone in an instant.
“W-what the hell!!” The idiot red nose man spoke loudly after watching what crocodile has done. “What could that have meant by that?” Buggy asked to no one in particular.
“What the hell indeed.” I said feeling my heart ache at Crocodiles little speech. What did he mean by that? I decided to continue watching hoping that I’ll get my answer soon.
Third Person Pov
Soon after news of Portgas D. Aces execution being carried out immediately made everyone at marineford fight harder than before, on both sides. The fighting grew more violent as it was seconds before Ace would die. Monkey D. Luffy in particular was fighting the hardest to save his big brother only to be stopped by not only the three admirals, but his own grandfather. Just as the blades moved to Aces neck, an unexpected phenomenon occurred making everyone watching, including you, gasp with shock. Sand came rushing towards the execution block stopping the executioners from killing Portgus D. Ace. All eyes turned to see who had saved the boy only to see none other than the ex warlord, Sir Crocodile.
“You bastard!I thought it would be advantageous to have you here for the battle, since you hold a grudge against Whitebeard. Curse you Crocodile!” Fleet Admiral Sengoku yelled with visible frustration
“I can kill that old dying buzzard whenever o feel like it, but as for right now I’m not gonna let you taste victory. You and your crooked operation!” Crocodile responded fiercely looking towards where he thought the camera might be before looking back at Sengoku.
“Well, you just had to go an screw up all the fun!” Doflamingo laughed emerging from the crowd as he approached Crocodile.
“Fuck off.” Crocodile sighed
“Nah.” Doflamingo replied using his string-string fruit power to sever Crocodiles head making it fly to the ground in a pile of sand.
As quickly as the attack came, Crocodile’s head came back like it was never detached in the first place. However, a angry glare was now evident on his face as he quickly turned around attacking Doflamingo not caring at the moment if you were upset that he was defending himself. Doflamingo blocked the attack with his massive legs. The force of their combined attacks sending anyone near flying far. Crocodile looked at him with with pure anger and disgust as he pushed him back.
“I’ll never let you get her back!” Doflamingo yelled throwing his arms in the air.
“Good things you’re not going to stop me!” Crocodile snapped back before turning into a sand cloud wanting to get the hell off this battlefield so he could begin looking for his wife.
And with that the fight began once again. However, this time around tensions were higher than ever before. And eventually Straw hat Luffy managed to save his brother and the two of them began fighting together in order to make it out alive. With the help of their friends, they made it near the edge of the battle field only to be stopped by one of the fleet admirals who spoke crude words about Whitebeard causing Ace to turn around and confront him. However, once he did so, Akainu promptly turned his attention to straw hat nearly attacking him, only for Ace to get their first.
Your Pov
“Oh god no.” I cried out as your heart broke for the boys on the screen. “This just isn’t fair.” I said feeling tears falling down my cheeks.
I watched in horror at one of the Admirals punched at hole through Portgas D. Ace as his little brother Luffy watched. It was heartbreaking to say the least. I saw other pirates face off with the Admiral as Monkey D. Luffy held his brother in his arms as he died. The poor boys screams filled my soul with dread as I watched him mourn his now dead brother.
“This isn’t fair.” I said now sobbing mourning a man that I didn’t even know.
“And to think Crocodile helped save you. Even he knew that boy should have lived.” I sobbed feeling slight discomfort about feeling proud of my ex husband.
The rest of the battle went quickly with Marshall D. Teach joining the battle and promptly helping to kill Whitebeard. Crocodile and another ex warlord helping straw hat to safety, though that’s what I heard at the video transponder snail stopped showing any action. All that was shown was the scrambling feet of pirates and soldiers alike just trying to make it out alive. At this point I had see enough carnage to last a lifetime. I felt ill, heartbroken, and even more angry at the government than I already was. The thing that I had trouble coming to terms with was how I felt about Crocodile.
On one hand he hurt me so badly that I had to leave to my brother of all people, but on the other hand I had just witnessed him saving the life of a young boy. Which, I know he would never do, so what could have changed? My mind was frantic and my body was feeling weak from all of the crying I did. My heart went out to Straw hat luffy as that boy didn’t deserve any of this. I could only pray that he finds some sort of comfort after this.
One month week later…
The vibrant colors of pink, purple, and orange filled the Dressrosa sky with warmth as the day was just starting. It had been a month since the battle at Marineford and my brother was set to return today. Dread filled me as I stood against the railing of my bedroom terrace admiring the sky. I knew my brother would tell me everything that happened in gory detail. I knew he would laugh as he did. And I knew that if I showed an ounce of disgust he would insult me for it. As much as I love him, I also hate him just as much if not more.
“So much for brotherly love. ” I whispered feeling the warm rays of sun on my tired face.
Sleep had not come easy for me recently. Everything that I saw haunted me every time I tried to sleep. Watching that poor boy die was terrifying. It not like I haven’t seen someone die before, it was just the way he died that haunted me. The screams of Straw Hat Luffy still so vivid in my mind. Even thinking about it now breaks my heart.
I felt myself slipping further into despair and decided to get out of it as fast as possible. I focused my mind on otter things such as the fact that I watched Doflamingo try to kill my ex husband even though I specifically asked him not to. I know that I still hate Crocodile for the way he hurt me, but that crossed a line. Fury now bubbles in my heart and that I felt like I would burst.
Suddenly, a knock interrupted my murderous thoughts about my big brother. I whipped my head around with anger still evident on my face. A guard walked in, bowed, and deliver the news that Doflamingo had returned and requested that I meet him and the family in the throne room. I thanked him and began looking more presentable for a big meeting like that. What the hell could they want? Are they planning something that involves me somehow? Is it just a welcome party? Are they planning on killing Crocodile? I shook my head of these thoughts as the last one make my heart hurt more than I’d ever thought it would at this point in my life.
After what felt like an eternity, I finally made it to the throne room. As soon as I entered I noticed all of the “family” was there all sat on their mini thrones. My brother sat in his huge throne looking at me with a smug expression. All eyes are on me as I sat on a chair placed next to my brother. I then crossed my legs and placed my hands in my lap staring to feel a nervous sensation that something bad was about to happen.
“Welcome back brother.” I greeted trying to keep the mood normal.
“Glad to see you dear sister. Did you miss me?” He joked “I hope you saw what happened at marineford on the video transponder snail.” He added turning his head to me.
“Yes, I watched it. Although, I wish I hadn’t.” I replied honestly meeting his gaze trying my best to remain calm.
“So then, you watched your dear husband in action. What did you think?” He asked his tone shifting to a serious one slightly.
“Is that why you all gathered me here?” I asked looking around the room with slight disgust at the “family”.
“Answer the young master!” Trebol demanded getting up from his seat. “You should know to respect your brother, your king!” He added moving straight in front of my face. His stench filled my nose making me gag.
“Back the fuck up!” I sneered scooting back in my chair.
“Do as the princess says, Trebol.” Doflamingo finally spoke sounding bored.
“Ba-ha-ha! Okay!” Trebol replied quickly going back to his assigned seat.
“You can answer that question later, there are more pressing things to talk about.” Doflamingo spoke
“Okay, thank you.” I replied feeling grateful that I didn’t have to open that can of worms yet.
“Now, onto some real business. Y/n, my dear sister. You’ve been called here because it’s time you finally joined the family and became one of us.” Doflamingo spoke energetically
I sat there stunned a little at his demand. I already assumed that because I’m his sister that I was already part of the “family”. I couldn’t form any words as a mix of fear, anger, and slight joy swirled through my mind. I almost wish I was answering the question before. Sensing that tensions were high at my non verbal state, I quickly decided to respond with the first thing that came to my mind.
“What does it mean to be part of this family?” I asked slightly cringing at the question.
“Fufufu, don’t you know. It means that you work for me my sweet sister. That you are under my protection permanently and that you can have as many riches as you desire as long as you don’t betray me.” Doflamingo happily replied grabbing my hand with his much larger one, giving it an uncomfortable squeeze.
“I thought that I was already part of the family.” I said feeling uneasy at my own words. Something wasn’t right but I couldn’t figure out what.
“You seem uneasy dear sister.” Doflamingo said with a small frown not answering my previous question.
“I’m fine I promise, Doffy, I’m just surprised that you didn’t know that my loyalty stands with you.” I reassured hoping that he’d believe me and that I could leave this shitty situation.
“Good, let’s hope it stays that way. Wouldn’t want you to end up like our dear brother.” Doflamingo spoke stopping dead in his tracks.
“What do you mean?” I said as my heart pounded at the thought of what could be wrong with Rosinante.
“Oh my dear y/n, I suppose it’s time you knew. It’s only right since you’re part of the family.” Doflamingo spoke enthusiastically. “Our dear brother betrayed me, so I had to to the hard thing…” he said
“Hard thing?” I nervously asked
Doflamingo suddenly grabbed my hand holding it close to his massive body. A wide grin covered his face as his red glasses shone an even deeper color. At this moment I felt small, like prey being cornered by a predator. My body was screaming at me to leave and run away. Run away to any place that could hide me from this monster.
“I killed him. I killed our brother and not one day goes by that I don’t regret it!” He said proudly as the “family” all erupted in laughter.
“Wha-why would you?” My voice barely above a whisper
“Huh? Are you stupid or something?” Doflamingo asked genuinely surprised I couldn’t figure it out.
“N-no, sorry my mistake.” I replied trying to calm myself as I knew one wrong thing said and I could wind up seeing Rosi.
“Good, now that you know… do you still wish to be part of the family?” He asked happily like he didn’t just tell me the most horrific thing.
“O-of course! I was just surprised a bit, my apologies dear brother.” I replied hoping that my answer would satisfy him. No way in hell did I want to join his “family” especially after what he admitted to me.
“Good, I’m glad we’re on the same page. Now you don’t resent your dear brother do you?” He asked seemingly testing my loyalty further.
“No of course not, what ever he did must have been horrible for you to need to kill him!” I replied trying my best to sound completely unbothered by the death of my brother.
“I’m glad you feel that way.” He paused eying me down. “Now, on to some important business.” He stated saying looking at his “family” completely ignoring my presence.
The meeting lasted hours with them mostly taking amongst themselves with my feedback rarely needed. The whole time my body felt like it was dying. For years I wondered where my brother was, what he was doing, and when I’d see him again. Part of me knew that he was dead but I never imagined that Doflamingo would have anything to do with it. I knew he was crazy and that he was capable of killing. I wasn’t there for my fathers death either, but now I can guess that Doflamingo was the one to do that too. My heart ached so badly but I knew showing any ounce of hurt could wind me up like other members of my family.
After what felt like an eternity, the “family” finally got up from their seats. I followed them smiling at them and making small conversations trying to appear as normal as possible. Many of them congratulated me on joining them and promised to protect me. Every single promise they made felt like a sharp knife twisting in my heart. As the flooded out of the room I realized that I was now fully alone with Doflamingo. My body slightly shook at the realization as a smile crept on my face.
“Thank you for giving me this chance brother!” I said bowing slightly. When I came back to look at him, I noticed a small tear on his face.
“You’re the only blood family I have left. It would be a shame to have to kill you y/n. Don’t disappoint me.” He spoke leaving the room too.
Now that everyone, including the guards were gone I allowed myself to collapse onto the floor. My whole body shook violently. The absolute terror I felt consumed me and I felt like I would suffocate under the weight of my own fear. I tried calming myself but my normal methods only seemed to make my panic worse. Finally, after far too long I decided to think of the one person that I knew I shouldn’t.
His face appeared in my mind. His steel eyes filled with love just for me. His soft raven hair that suited him perfectly. His lips that use to capture mine every day. His scar that he hated but filled me with so much warmth for him. To me this man was perfection manifest, and once he was all mine. I remember the way he use to hold me when I needed comfort. How warm he was and the scent that he wore. How his raspy voice always made me smile and blush.
The images of my husband flashed through my mind like a peaceful dream. Somehow even though he wasn’t here, he managed to calm me. My breathing steadied and my nerves were more manageable. The realization hit me hard as tears were streaming from my face. The feeling that I buried for so long now was finally coming back. The feeling of missing someone so precious. The feeling of missing my beloved, Crocodile.
“I wish you were here to take me away.” I whispered feeling defeated and utterly hopeless.
After a few more moments, I dried my tears and began walking back to my room. My body felt completely drained of energy. My steps felt so heavy uneven that I was sure that I was going to fall. However, no such thing happened. Soon I finally made it to my room on the other side of the palace. I landed straight onto my bed and as soon as I did, I felt sleep completely consume me. Soon I allowed my body to rest getting the sleep I desperately needed not knowing when I would be able to sleep now that I’m trapped by my deranged brother.

Crocodile’s Pov
“Mr 1, have you found a good man for the job?” I asked my friend hoping that finally we’d be able to accomplish this task.
“Yes sir, I found a man named Mr. Brown whose devil fruit will be perfect for this special operation.” Mr. 1 spoke with confidence.
“Hmm, good then…” I paused looking at Mr. 1. “Let’s go get my wife back.” I said smiling with anticipation of saving my y/n from her deranged brother.

Sir crocodile x Fem!reader , Doflamingo x Sister!reader
In which you are trapped with Doflamingo and the “family” but your husband is on his way…
TW, Angst, mentions of serious violence, suicidal thoughts, Doflamingo abuses reader. Crocodile comes to the rescue.
Your Pov
Two months have passed since Doflamingo had admitted to murdering our brother Rosi. Two months that I’ve had to keep up appearances all because I’m terrified that I’ll end up just like him. Doflamingo has become closer to me claiming that I’m the last part of his past family and he doesn’t want anything to happen to me. Truthfully, I think he just wants to control me and the ounce of freedom I had left.
No matter where I go, or what I do, he’s always watching. He always has someone looking out for me. Even if it’s just to go to the Saturday market or to read in my room.Someone is always watching. The only real privacy I have is when I go to the bathroom. Although, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that becomes watched too. I’m terrified daily and the past mental trauma I’ve mostly healed from has come back, and it’s worse than it was before. I feel I'm losing who I am and becoming the scared little girl I use to be. The girl who lost her mother to a curable illness and father to her deranged brother. When I was younger I convinced myself that Doffy killing our father was justified. That our father's radical ideas killed our mother, so for years I deluded myself into praising my big brother for his terrible act.
Suddenly, a booming knock on my door startled me out of my thoughts, as my heart felt like it leapt out of my already aching chest. I scrambled to open the door quickly, fearing the worst if I didn't. As I opened the door I was unfortunately greeted with the sight of the evil I feared the most. We stared at each other for a moment. His malicious grin staring back at me as he towered above me suffocating me. I stared into the red of his glasses that hid the truth in his eyes filling me with a dread that I never knew I could feel.
"Well, aren't you going to greet your big brother, Y/n." Doflamingo sneered pushing his way through the door.
"H-hello brother." I greeted stumbling back a bit but catching myself as to not look weak in front of him.
"You haven't been very friendly with the family, our family." He spoke grabbing my face.
"I'm sorry, I just haven't been feeling well lately and I didn't want to involve them." I replied sounding as sincere as possible.
"They are family Y/n, I'm sure they can handle it." Doflamingo snapped. "Why haven't you come to me?" He asked bending down to my height
"I guess I didn't want to involve you too, brother." I softy said keeping my eyes on his crimson glasses.
"I hope this isn't about Corazon. Because that traitor doesn't deserve your sadness Y/n." He frowned as I felt heart beat on my ribs.
"Of course not." I stammered trying to push the thoughts of my murdered brother out of my head.
"Oh really, then why are you lying!" He yelled as he quickly knocked over the standing mirror to the left of us.
"I'm not!" I yelled
"Yes you are! How dare you think of him! He never loved you, I did! He abandoned you for the Marines! He abandoned us you stupid girl!" Doflamingo spat coming so close I could feel his spit on my face. My anger began to flow as all of the fear I felt recently seemed to disappear.
"He did what he had to to stay far away from you! You fucking psycho!" I screamed looking at him with pure hatred.
Suddenly, I found myself on the ground. My body stung and my face felt red hot with searing pain. Then, without warning, my stomach my hit over, and over, and over again. I couldn't think, I couldn't move as I could feel my blood all over me. My vision was cloudy with red and then suddenly, I felt nothing at all.
Hours Later...
Hell, this was hell. I woke up from the most horrible nightmare, except it was my new reality. Doflamingo had beaten me so badly that I couldn't move. My body was in so much pain that even the slightest movement hurt. Even breathing seemed impossible in my current state. However, what made it worse was that he was seated next to me crying hysterically, and that terrified me more than anything else. I slowly looked at him showing my emotion in my eyes as my face hurt too much to move. He took notice of my eyes on him and make an unfamiliar face.
"Y/n, you're awake! I'm so sorry I hurt you, my dear sister!" He spoke uncharacteristically. I didn't respond, not like I could anyway. "It's okay, you don't have to say anything." He attempted to comfort. "I wish you didn't say all those things Y/n. If you hadn't this would have never happened. I promise it will never happen again, as long as you behave yourself." Doflamingo promised "I love you sister, and nothing will ever keep me from you again."
My eyes widened by what he did next, as the horror of my new reality set in again. He kissed my cheek and softly caressed my other. His tears fell upon my face making me cry out from the stinging sensation of them. He paid no attention to my cries and instead placed his massive head onto my belly. He stayed there for a long time crying and singing to himself as I lay there helpless as my pain got worse. And then, he lifted his head, took his signature glasses off and stared at me with eyes I hadn't seen since I was a child. Those brilliant blue eyes stared into mine sending shivers through my abused body.
"I've called for the Tonttata Princess to come and help ease your pain my sweet sister. But, you needed to suffer for a while, so you could understand how you have made me feel. I never wanted to do that to you, but it had to happen." He cooed giving you one last kiss on my bruised cheek. He then placed his glasses back on his face as I felt a wave of relief wash over me. Because now those foreign blue eyes wouldn't be staring straight into my weary soul.
———
After a few moments, the tiny princess came into the room along with two of Doflamingo's guards. She looked at you and tears left her. Not out of sadness but of anger for Doflamingo. She knew who you were, everyone in the castle did, but she definitely never expected to see you in such a state.
"Heal her." Doflamingo commanded scaring the captured princess.
"Y-yes, young master." She squeaked
Soon, the light of her healing devil fruit powers illuminated your body. She placed her hands gently on your body, making sure not to bring you further discomfort. suddenly, your body was encompassed in light and the searing pain you had felt for hours was going away. For the first time in what felt like ages, you felt so safe and comfortable. This princess's powers were remarkable and you just wished she wasn't being held captive too.
"All done, she might feel sore for awhile and some of the bruises might return, but all of the major injuries are gone." The Princess told Doflamingo, her eyes not meeting his.
"Good, return the princess to her room. I need to speak to her alone." Doflamongo cheered
Once everyone but you and Doflamingo were out of the room, he suddenly engulfed you into a hug. You froze not knowing what to do in this situation. You heard him sniffling as he held you closer to him. He stroked your hair pushing you further into his toned chest.
"Will you forgive me?" He then asked nuzzling intro your hair
"Yes." You whispered fearing if you said anything else that you would end up in in the same situation as you did just moments ago.
"That makes me happier than you could ever understand, Y/n." Doflamingo spoke as he lifted your head and placed an uncomfortable kiss on your temple. "Despite what you might think you are better off with me than you are with that cranky man you once called your husband. I hope you know that." He added stroking your once bruised cheek.
"Yes." You spoke again still fearing your previous fate.
"You've always been such a good girl, guess that's why mother and father adopted you." He laughed still holding your shaking body against his. "You are the most precious thing to me now, and nothing is ever going to stop that. And no one will take you away from me, I promise this to you." Doflamingo spoke confidently.
———
For the next couple of weeks, this became your new routine. Doflamingo would be mad at something and would come to you for comfort. Despite all of the promises that no harm would come to you by anyone else, he made no such promises for himself. So, instead of talking he would thrash you around like he did all of those weeks ago. And just like all of those weeks ago, the captured princess would be taken from her cell and come heal your abused body. You had became so accustomed to this, that you almost looked forward to the beating just so you could feel her beautiful light around your body. In a twisted way it became your personal drug. When he wasn't beating you, he would force you to come everywhere with him, almost as if you were his dog. He even closed your flower shop due to you not being able to be close enough to him.
Your mind often drifted to happier places when it could. Whenever you dreamed it would only be of your past life with Crocodile. His warmth and embrace comforted you during the times you were alone in cold room. His voice sometimes echoed through your mind, making you smile even when you forgot how to. The love you shared with Crocodile was gone now, but your memories of him would never be forgotten. You resented your decision to leave him, especially with the current situation you were in now. You wished you had just stayed and tried to talk to him. Things with your husband weren’t perfect, but you knew deep down that he really did love you. And now all you craved was to be set free from this nightmare and be back in his warmth.
Although, you craved him in ways you never had before, part of you feared that he no longer wanted you. That even if he knew of your situation and changed heart that maybe it was too late now. Your last conversation was proof of that, but you figured if you could change so could he. Though, given how stubborn your husband can be, you thought that wasn’t likely. What you did know was that you were stuck in this beautiful country with the most vile man of all. And to top it all off, there was nothing you could do to stop it. Nothing anyone could do now to stop it. And that thought terrified you like no other. So much so that you thought death was a better option than continuing to endure this hell.

One Month Earlier…
Crocodile’s Pov
"Sir, we found the man you were looking for." Daz said as he walked in with the man we've been looking for.
"Took you long enough to come, your abilities are very important to us." I replied looking at the man we've been seeking for a month now.
"Forgive me, Mr. Crocodile, I was on other business you see." Mr. Ryzaon spoke giving me a half-assed apology.
"Will you be able to do as requested?" I asked glaring at me man in front of me.
"Of course I will, there is no place I cannot break into." He boasted
"Good, we must leave at once then. It'll take a month to get to Dressrosa , maybe slightly longer, and I don't wish to leave my wife there any longer than she needs to be." I spoke urgently
"Of course Sir, I'll pick her up and bring her safely back to you!" Mr. Ryzaon assured." Although, there is still an issue of my payment," He whispered leaning far too close making me scowl at the foolish man.
"You'll get paid as soon my wife is safely back in my arms!" I snapped slamming my fist down on my wooden desk.
"O-of course, Mr. Crocodile! Naturally!" He stuttered bowing his head
I scoffed in response and gestures to Daz to prepare the ship to voyage to Dressrosa. Once him and Mr. Ryazon left, I prepared myself for the important voyage ahead. Rescuing her from her criminally insane brother is by far the most important task at hand. No further business mattered until she was safe with me once again.
In all of the years I’ve known Doflamingo, I’ve never once wanted to do business with him. He’s far too cunning and unpredictable. I, of course, got swept up in his “family business” because I married his sister. She was too irresistible not to have, no wonder Doflamingo wanted her back. Only now I fear what he’s done to my sweet wife and what horrors she must have seen or endured.
I pinched in between my brows out of frustration due to the uncertainty of the situation at hand. This plan I’ve come up with has a chance of success, though it’s very slim. But no matter what happens, she I’ll come back with me and will never see that shitty bird man again. I don’t care if she hates me for it, I will get her back.
One Month Later…
“Sir, due to bad weather, we are going to be delayed for two days.” Daz informed me staring at the sea in front of him.
“We should’ve picked a better man to steer this dammed ship!” I spat clenching my fist.
“I agree Sir, but this was the best captain we could find on such short notice.” Daz replied
“Even if we have to go to war, I will get my wife back!” I proclaimed
I hummed in response as I proceeded back to my quarters deciding to go over my plan for the hundredth time that day. Once, I was done I sat back in my chair staring up at the ceiling. My urge to just fly over to Dressrosa right now was high, but I couldn't be so rash. Especially since my wife's life was on the line.
———
Two Days Later...
The operation to rescue Y/n was finally at hand. It was dark out , nearly midnight, and the ship was eerily quiet as everyone Crocodile employed for this were awaiting their silent orders.Crocodile himself started to feel an uncomfortable anxiety wash over him at the thought of this mission failing. Although, he had some faith in the man he hired to rescue you. Mr. Ryazon was a man with spotless track record and his devil fruit abilities were perfect for the important job at hand.
"Sir, it's nearly time." Daz Bones whispered to Crocodile.
"Good, now make sure he knows that if he harms a her in any way that Doflamingo will be the last of his worries." Crocodile threatened looking ahead at Dressrosa that stood in the distance.
"Yes sir." Daz replied following orders.
Once at Mr. Ryazon's quarters Daz replayed the information his boss gave him making Mr. Rayazon turn slightly pale.
"Of course I will not harm her. I'm not a fan of violence, especially that against women. My skills are only for retreaving, I can assure you." He replied with a scowl.
"Get ready, you are to leave for Dressrosa in a few minutes." Daz spoke ignoring Mr. Ryazon's anger.
"I don't see why we need to be so damn far away. I'm very stealthy you see." Mr. Ryazon argued as he stood next to Daz.
"They have a devil fruit user that has a long range clairvoyance. It's risky just having you go there let alone an entire ship." Daz spoke staring at the shorter male.
"This girl better be worth a hell of a lot for me to be risking my life like this!" Mr. Ryazon complained pushing past Daz in a pout. He hen made his way to the front of the ship where Crocodile stood. "Alright Crocodile, lets gets this done, I don't want to be stuck here longer than I need to be." He whined
"Neither do we." Crocodile mumbled "Your boat is ready, including all of the supplies you might need." He added
"I don't need much Sir, my devil fruit powers should prove that." Mr. Ryazon boasted making his way to the boat.
"Make sure that you are back here by dawn or else." Crocodile warned
"I'll get it done before that, I can assure!" He yelled as he began rowing away from the ship.
"If he isn't back by dawn I'll rescue her myself and kill him." Crocodile thought to himself as he watched smaller boat disappear into the fog.
———
You stood at the only window in your room, looking out at the sleeping city. It was nearly two in the morning now as had only just left Doflamingo side after being practically glued to it all day; not by choice. He was reasonable today and didn't lay a single hand on you that caused you any pain. Even though you had a break from his constant torment, you couldn't feel at ease knowing that it could change in a split second. Your body trembled at the thought of him coming into your room or any of the "family" for that matter. You were transfixed on the soft light illuminating from the city as well as the faint sound of the waves, that you failed to sense the man who stood only three feet from you.
"Hello miss-" The man spoke
"What the hell!" You yelled pressing yourself against the window. "Who the hell are you?" You questioned feeling terribly scared
"Shhhhh, I'm here to rescue you! Crocodile sent me! My name is Mr.Ryazon!" He whisper yelled
"What?" You spoke just barely a whisper.
"Are you deaf or something? They didn't mention that." Mr. Ryazon deadpanned
"N-no, I'm in disbelief!" You shot back. "He came for me." You spoke softly feeling ounce hope for the first time in months. Then without warning a loud knock was heard on your door.
"Dammit, the plan's gonna go south." Mr. Ryazon complained looking for a place to hide.
"Ms. Donquixote! Is everything alright?" Of of the guards stationed outside of your room questioned.
"Y-yes, I just bumped into the side of the bed!" You called back hoping to God that they bought your lie.
"Are you injured? I'm going to call the Young Master just in case!" They replied making your heart stop.
"T-that won't be necessary!" You stammered
"It'll only be a moment Ms." The guard assured
"Shit!" You whispered to yourself when suddenly you felt a hand grabbed onto your arm.
"I can't fight for shit so we need to run! This operation was suppose to run smoothly but if Doflamingo is coming, we are both dead." Mr. Ryazon spoke seemingly scared.
"Who's voice was that?" The guard once again asked
"We gotta go now!" Mr. Ryazon spoke urgently tugging you along.
"How are we going to get out of here?' You questioned realizing how high your room stood in the castle.
"Don't worry about that now, just hold onto me!" He spoke holding my body by my waist. "And do not let go or you will die!" He added staring directly into your soul.
"N-no problem!" You chirped wrapping your arms around him. `
Then, without warning, you both were suddenly engulfed into the floor. To you, it felt like falling and you couldn't help but let out a quick scream as you held onto this man for dear life. The sensation only lasted fro a moment before the two of you were safely on the ground. Your eyes widened with shock as you stared at the man that was still holding your now shaking body.
"Impressed are we?" Mr. Ryazon smirked
"How the hell did you do that?" You asked ignoring his question
"I'll tell you once we are on the boat. For now, we need to hurry or we are both going to end up dead, me more so." He said letting you go by the waist and grabbing your hand instead.
"Fine by me!" You smiled letting him guide you out of the city. Although, still fearing may Doflamingo catch up to you both.
———
"Oh Fuck!" he guard standing outside of y/n's room yelled looking at the now empty room. He rushed throughout the castle to where his Young Master was."Sir, Sir!' The guard yelled urgently
"What is it?" Doflamingo asked sitting at his desk doing some paperwork.
"Sir, its your sister." The guard reluctantly spoke
"What about her?" Doflamningo questioned feeling his anger spike
"S-shes not in her room Sir!" he trembled
"What do you mean she's not in her room?" Doflamningo inquired standing up slowly from his desk.
"Well sir-" the guard started only to have his conversation cut short by Doflamingo grabbing him by his neck and lifting him up in the air.
"You let her escape!" Doflamingo roared squeezing the guard's neck harder making his face turn a deep shade of purple.
The guard struggled against the mighty strength of his Young Master. However, all of his struggles were useless as Doflamingo broke his neck just as easily as breaking a toothpick. He then tossed the now dead guard aside as he quickly left his office but not before grabbing his Den Den Mushi.
"All guards on the island must bring back my sister. She is not in her room!" Doflamingo yelled into his Den Den Mushi that was connected to the guards main quarters. "Whoever can bring her here unharmed, will receive a bountiful reward!" He added hoping this would speed their search.
Doflamingo then began his search for his sister on his own as he attached his strings to the few clouds above hoping to catch a glimpse of you. Although, what he didn't know was that she was already at the secret location that Mr. Ryazon had hidden his boat.
"I'll find you Y/n and when I do you'll receive more than a beating." Doflamingo thought to himself as he continued his search all over "his" kingdom.
———
"Get in the boat girl!" Mr. Ryazon whisper yelled tugging at your hand
"I'm going!" You snapped back quickly getting into the small boat nestled between two big rocks.
"Hold on miss! The sea is a bit rocky this at this time of night!" He spoke as he began pushing the boat against the strength of the waves.
As he pushed the boat with you in it, you noticed a group of people in the distance holding guns in their arms. Their uniforms were so familiar to you know that you knew exactly who they were and who they worked for.
"Hurry! My broth-, Doflamingo's soldiers are coming!" You warned him.
"Shit! Grab some oars and start rowing!" Mr. Ryazon commanded as he swiftly got into the boat.
You nodded at him grabbing a set of oars and quickly putting them into place. You then started rowing as hard as you could. These past months being confined had made you weaker than you usually were, but you carried on hoping that whatever strength you did have, would be enough. Soon, both you and your rescuer fought through the rough waves together, with Mr. Ryazon leading the way. The soldiers of your retched brother now fading from sight, just like the country you were trapped in. Your anguish was now fading away, but not your new found anger. You and Mr. Ryazon rowed together for sometime before you began to wonder when you'd be at the ship.
"How much longer till we are at the ship?" You questioned realizing you were about to see your husband after a long time.
"Nervous are we?" Mr. Ryazon inquired teasing you a bit.
"Didn't realize you were paid for idle chit chat." You teased back
"I'm not, but there is nothing wrong with a simple conversation." He replied shrugging his shoulders.
"Fair, I guess I am." You spoke softly taking notice at the slight change of color in the sky.
"I've only known the man for a month but from what I do know is that he's obsessed with you." Mr. Ryazon said now noticing the slight change in color too. "Seems like that man would go to hell just to get you back." He added speaking softly
"I guess he and I have a lot to talk about." You replied feeling your nervousness go down a little.
"Well, well be there in a few moments so start preparing." he chuckled as the sky got even brighter than before.
"Will do." You smiled "Now since we have some time, how the hell did we fall through the floor." You questioned making the man in front of you sigh slightly.
"Guess I'll tell you since you asked me so nicely. I ate the phase-phase fruit and so now my body and whatever my body comes in contact with. He explained
"Ahh, that's so fun. Bet it makes you a hell of a thief." You complimented.
"Why thank you miss." He replied
"Is that it? You asked hopefully looking at the ship off in the distance.
"Yep! Thank god we made it in time!" He cheered turning his head to look at the ship now illuminated in the distance.
You stared at your new found vessel of freedom and new beginnings. A hopeful feeling bubbled up inside you at the reunion of you and your husband. Though dread also followed as you and your rescuer slowly made your way to the vessel. You rowed closer and closer until a tall figure loomed over head. You squinted trying to see if you recognize the the figure. As the sun shone more brightly and as your boat drew closer you saw it, you saw him. Your boat now at the side of the ship ready for you and Mr. Ryazon to ascend into the ship.
Your breath hitched as you saw him while climbing the ladder of the ship, still looking as handsome as the last time you laid eyes on him. His steel eyes never left yours either as they had a familiar softness to them. The same ones you had seen for years. The same ones he had on the day of your wedding. You felt so lost in them even as he came closer to your smaller self, your own eyes never left his.
The crowd surrounding you both seemed to fade away as he stood before you. The sun had risen giving you an ethereal glow that made Crocodile's heart beat faster. His hand then reached out for your face making you flinch away from his touch. He took notice of your reaction to such a simple gesture and his anger for your brother grew stronger.
"You're safe now Y/N." Crocodile spoke softly looking at you as though you were the most angelic thing he'd ever seen.
"Thank you f-for rescuing me." You replied your eyes now avoiding his
"You're my wife and this is the least I can do for you." Crocodile spoke still admiring you. "Let's go somewhere private, there is much for us to discuss." He suggested gesturing to another part of the ship.
"Yeah, we've got a lot of catching up to do." You replied as you started preparing yourself for what's next.
Sorry this took so long 😥Thank you so much for reading! This part was a longer one!! One more part to go!! This ones is going to be emotional💜
