✨ He’s finished! ✨

I’m so excited to finally share my newest model with you all and he’s now live in my Cults3D shop.

This project was huge for me. I poured everything I’ve learned into him: anatomy studies, new 3D sculpting skills, painting techniques, all of it. Honestly, I think the excitement of bringing him to life carried me through, because gosh… he’s beautiful. ❤️ I’m honestly thrilled with how he turned out.

He’s also such a big improvement from the very first version I made over five years ago. Back then, I always imagined him as an albino dragon, but I had never actually painted an albino creature before. This was my first try, how did I do? 👀 Maybe I’ll print another and see what a red or blue boy might look like.

I’ve even been toying with the idea of diving into the How to Train Your Dragon universe and recreating some of those iconic dragons in my style. Would you all be interested in seeing that next?

I realized that this 2013 croc inspired fire dragon I did was was actually VERY NICE?? I literally only drew it for a sticker, and I don't even sell individual stickers anymore. Anyway, I added some lighting, and a background, and 7 years later it's now COMPLETE! Inspired, in particular, off of gharials. Five years ago, I made a crocodile-dragon out of Super Sculpy clay. At the time, I poured everything I had into that piece, it was my way of saying, “this is me, and this is what I can do.”

Looking back, I believe that sculpture played a huge role in helping me land my very first job as a sculptor and designer. Because of that, it holds a very special place in my heart.

Now, five years later, I want to try again. I want to take everything I’ve learned since then, every new skill, every lesson, every bit of growth, and put it into this new piece. I’m excited to see the difference, to compare the two, and to really see how far I’ve come on this journey.
