THE SCHULER REVIEW Every week, concept artist and critic Herman Schuler reviews new work in the city of Pittsburgh. 11.25.2018 - Cross Ninja Looks like bronze more than anything else - good thing ‘cause bronze is what statues are made of. Looks like bronze, but doesn’t feel like bronze. Feels like acrylic. That could be a good thing. It’s well made. Lot of dimensions, different from all angles. Combat pose, angular pose, which creates energy. Thin, but strong. Could be a good guy or a villain. Normally ninjas are good Cross Ninja…. Hmm…. A ninja is someone who is very stealthy. Cross Ninja would be good at that, sneak up on you without making a sound. He’s on top of a person and, poof, the party’s over. He’s holding one sword with his mouth, one with his hand, and another in his other hand. Interesting. Unique. I wouldn’t want to get into a fight with this guy. I’ll probably lose. Probably run into this guy in a dark alley somewhere. Thankfully I haven’t done anything to him. He might have been jealous of my sandwich . . . #schulerreview #crossninja #heikeemjohnson #redninjaboy #ninja #ninjas #sandwich #sword #swords #statue #bronze #sculpture #bronzesculpture #hermanschuler #review #critique #conceptual #conceptartist #conceptart #existentialism #carlsagan #art #artist #steelcitygrammers #burghsnap #pghcreative #vaultartstudio #vaultartpgh #achieva (at VaultArt Studio) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bqm-jzbBi9L/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10whzod78ixvf
