Ok, so I have name for the story now!! I'm gonna explain why I've decided to name it this :)

I'm also veryyy sleepies rn, so I apologize if this isn't super coherent.

So I'm going to name the story "Safe at Dusk"

Rambling under the cut!

So in the story, there's Crovan's kingdom, and Crovan is a corrupt ruler who craves power and control and all that fun stuff. And then Maeve is the opposition who is trying to take down that corrupt power. Except in the eyes of the normal townspeople, Crovan is the good side, and Maeve is the bad side (technically they both are bad at points, doesn't matter).

Luelle believed this at the beginning of the story, but under the cover of darkness, she left and surrendered to Maeve. Eventually, Luelle feels comfortable enough to be themself a little more. In other words, in the 'dark' Luelle is safe enough to be able to figure out who they are.

Additionally, after Maeve's backstory stuff, she escapes Valan Kingdom at night, and eventually becomes a new person herself.

Also, the night is a common time where everyone is able to be themselves. Theres a specific story arch I'm thinking of where Luelle and Maeve are terrified of what's going to happen, but at night they can hold each other and reasure them that everything is going to be ok.

Light and dark, and good and bad often go hand in hand. But in this story, the dark isn't bad. It's actually the only time where the characters can be themselves. During the day, they are constantly being watched, and are pressured to act 'right'.

So they are safe at dusk, because the darkness means no one is watching.

I had a question

Do you have Crovan design. If no can you describe what he looks like?

Hmm…

Like the other Air Spirits Crovan has purple/ violet eyes and matching his physical vessel (His train)‘s paint scheme, his hair and clothes will be shades of blue and highlights of red and black. But most of his time before his death, he didn’t adopt the Sodor Spirits’ black hair highlights until after he finally accepted his new life as one of the island’s spirits, shortly before Alfred killed him.

As a ghost, he mostly looks the same as he did when he was alive but his eyes now resemble Proteus’ with purple irises instead of gold.

Some crovan can’t communicate doodles, been watching Komi can’t communicate and Edward’s Ally both I highly recommend watching and decided to make a au, since this is  how much my verison of crovan would work  ‘Like the show, crovan doesn’t speak or talk, but instead of being seen as husbando he’s seen as weird or how the sudrians like that he doesn’t say anything mean but are kinda unnerved by his stare and the fact her appears out of nowhere sometimes without making a sound but he isn’t been mean like Gordon or Alfred 

He and Alfred aren’t friends or anything more like crovan avoiding Alfred like the plague and can’t be in the same room as him cause Alfred basically bullied him like the rest of the coworkers of his former railway, harassing and tormenting him then Alfred takes it far by stating something asking to him liking that crovan is quite since he was annoying and other mean words so it results in crovan being absolutely terrified of how others would respond and think of him. Alfred has the absolute gall of complaining that crovan doesn’t talk to anyone. Geez I wonder why 😒 

So instead this results as a response to trauma inside of a communication disorder since his anxiety stems from feared of being laughed and mocked for everything he did. Edward like the video helps out with crovan coming out of his shell revealing the scared lonely soul underneath. They’ve become pretty protective of one another with Edward defending crovan with words while crovan defends him with glares and intimidation though he can’t defend himself but it’s ok the squad coming to protect and whoop kick beat them.

So now he kinda trails around edward and is pretty much a scary bodyguard and sorta ends up in a friend group with Edward Henry Thomas and eagle (and later percy Boco bill and Ben, the last two forming a mini protection squad with trying to help crovan talk, although one time it ends with crovan in tears and edward’s scolding them (mostly bill and Ben who were very apologetic). He’s one of the few they don’t play pranks or tricks on, knowing of his past.)

his design is slightly inspired by the wonderful fabulous @projectanimations since they have a lovely design for crovan while edwards is basically a mashup of every Edward design I liked though that’s still a WiP

King Crovan ref! Yep, I even gave him a name! He looks a little older than I was intending (probably just the fact that I made his hair grey), but! I really like how it turned out :)

Also, I decided that the kingdom is called Valan. Valan Kingdom!
